Brief History:
In 1913 Bamford and Martin Limited were founded in London, then in 1914 the Aston Martin name was born after the Aston Hill Climb. Later in 1922, Aston Martin made its first appearance overseas at a French Grand Prix. The company was later forced to close in 1925 and reopened in Faltham during the mid twenties. In 1932 the Sutherland family took over the company only to lose it in 1947 to David Brown who buys it as Aston Martin Lagonda. After a long run David Brown is forced to sell the company in 1972 then after changing hands a few times FORD buys 75% of it's shares, twenty two years later FORD acquires 100% of the company.
