May 11 1991 Gary Kahne, photojournalist from Channel 6 News in Portland, rode down the track and filmed for Doc's first television coverage.

June 23 1991 Doc has gotten a new Mini-spool and is happy that now BOTH wheels are spinning, getting smoke and better traction! He set a new 'best time' today of 14.37 at 91.51 mph. (Note] I used contact paper to put the name on the doors now, as shoe-polish wouldn't show on the yellow.)

June 24 1991 Doc missed the "Oldies But Goodies" to take the racecar to Eaves Automotive, in Milwaukee, OR. Gary Eaves, another racer, and his race team had volunteered to do the bodywork and paint and get him back out to the track without missing any 'points' races.

June 27 1991 This is Gary Eaves. He and his friends have spent 3 days and 3 long nights doing what Gary said was "Step 1] Take EVERYTHING out and start over..."

June 28 1991 Shell Cermack and Robert Falleur do some sculpting on the tail section. It was quite the challenge!

The "before" picture was taken on March 20, 1990...The "after" picture was taken on June 28, 1991. I thought you needed to see them together to appreciate the challenge that tail section presented!
