June 27 1990 Eddie completed his work by primering the whole car. It is 3 days until Doc's goal date, and everything works!

June 29 1990 One day before race day! We took it to R&J Mobility for "Driver Installation", the final step necessary to make Doc's dream come true.

June 29 1990 This is what it looked like before R&J did the adaptations for Doc.

R&J extended the gas pedal up to reach Doc's right foot. They used the brake part of Monarch hand-controls, which at this point was mounted to the brake pedal on the left. (Note: It was later changed to a dash-mounting). They added an extention to the gear-shift to enable Doc to reach it with his limited mobility and they mounted the seat belt. A week or 2 later, they added the custom-to-fit-Doc's hand spinner-knob.

June 30 1990 LEAVING FOR THE DRAGSTRIP! Doc made his goal date to debut his race car and compete at Woodburn Dragstrip's "Oldies But Goodies". It took exactly 7 months to take it from a chicken coop to a race car. :-)
