March 5, 1990 Test-fit fenders, hood and grill shell. Doc set goal date: "Oldies But Goodies, June 30". Eddie thinks he can get it done by then. :-)

March 5 1990 Eddie has finished the bodywork on the right side and has the bottom 1/2 of the aluminum interior installed.

March 5 1990 There were about 6 inches of rust holes from the running board up. Eddie used sheet metal and Bondo for these repairs.

March 6 1990 Eddie has finished the aluminum interior. Eddie was very resourceful and salvaged the aluminum from the insides of old hot water tanks, using rivots to hold it in place.

The firewall and front flooring was made out of 3/4 inch plate steel. Eddie didn't want to take any chance of anything coming off the motor and hitting Doc !

March 18 1990 The 3/4 inch plate steel added unwanted weight to the car, but it wasn't replaced until the "total slam" in 1996.
