1996 Another racer, Earl Ming, out of the goodness of his heart, gave Doc one of his motors that had all kinds of "extras" that would take the Chicken Coupe even faster. Unfortunately, due to the total lowering, EVERYTHING was a tight fit and therefore very time-consuming.

July 20, 1996 And another racer comes through...Jim Coughlin uses his expertise to build Doc a new set of custom headers. A very big challenge for this new slammed version of a 1935 Nash Lafayette Coupe!

Sept. 1996 And still another racer comes through! Doc had a list of 42 separate things that still needed to be done before his race car would again be driveable. Al Beyel came through like the champ he is, and got them all completed in only 9 days (and nights!).

Sept 1996 The "Hero" of the reconstruction of the Severely Disabled Chicken Coupe was Al Beyel. Just another racer wanting to help. He finished all the work the others had left undone, and "tied up all the loose ends!" But there was only one race day left for the Season!
