Flavin St. and Bond St. in downtown St. John's, Newfoundland

The Fisher's New Home

This page was made to show friends and family our new home we bought in Newfoundland

As you can see it's going to take some work!!! The man who was fixing it up took the front steps off, parged (fixed/painted) the basement, replaced some of the boards on the outside that is why some of them look white, replaced the fuse panel, re did most of the bathroom, put new flooring in the kitchen and took out the cupboards, and put in new windows and doors. Then his father died so he moved his family and listed this place 1 1/2 to 2 years ago.

A view from in front of the house. In the direction of St. John's. The village is called "Upper Island Cove" and the water we are looking at is Conception Bay. In between "Bay Roberts & Carbenear" about 15min ether way and about 1hr from St. John's. The photo was taken just on the other side of the road and you can see the rooftops of the other houses below. The next photo was taken from down there

This is the same view at dusk. _

It was the end of October not all too cold, but windy yes WINDY....

Just me out on the rocks..

This is taken from the other side of the bay looking back at Upper Island Cove.

My good friend Arnold.

We saw 6 to 8 whales on our way back on the ferry. I need a better camera :(

A very nice sunset on the west side of the Island on our way home.
