- Joseph F. DeMask III, 55, of Terre
Haute died at 4:35 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2000, in his
residence. He was a former teacher. He was born Jan. 11, 1945, in Terre Haute to
Joseph F. DeMask Jr. and Rosemary Hamilton DeMask. Survivors include one
daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and William Ellinger of Madison; his mother,
Rosemary Miller of Terre Haute; one
- grandson, Ethan Ellinger of Madison; one
sister, Coleen Payton of Terre Haute; one aunt, Annabelle Plenge of
Terre Haute; one uncle, Warren Hamilton and his wife Hazel, of Terre Haute; one
niece, Angela Payton of Terre Haute; and several cousins. He was a graduate of
the former Wiley High School, received both his bachelor's degree in
education and his master's degree in English from Indiana State University. He
served in the Air National Guard and enjoyed broadcasting and drama.
Memorial services will be at a later date. Dunn Family Mortuary assisted with
arrangements. The family suggests that, if friends so desire, memorial
contributions may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, 600 S. First St.,
Terre Haute, IN 47807.
