Mark has played with Creek Bend since 1983. Before that he played in several local bands including the Erie Lackawanna Railroad with his brother Chris and the Hill Brothers, a school performance group for Young Audiences inc. He has taught dobro at the Augusta Heritage Workshops in Elkins WV for over ten years and has an instructional dobro video out on the MurphyMethod.com label. He is a member of the Bluegrass in our Schools Committee for the IBMA. He sings lead and baritone and also plays banjo and harmonica. When he isn't playing with Creek Bend he is a music teacher at an elementary school in Western New York where he also directs a student fiddle group.
Carl Eddy
Carl has played with Creek Bend for a total of about ten years. He has played in many local country bands including the Stone Country Band. Carl is the song historian and balladier for the group. Due to his love of old time country and smooth vocal style, Carl makes an exceptional lead vocalist. He plays acoustic guitar and sings lead and tenor. He also performs with his daughter, Emma on special occasions.
Ted Lambert
Ted is a founding member of Creek Bend. Ted has won every local bluegrass award for his hard driving banjo style. He is a very popular studio musician in Western New York not only for his banjo work but for his fiddle, guitar and mandolin as well. Ted is very talented singer too adding lead or tenor to the band's sound. He has produced a banjo instructional tape and also produces local bluegrass concerts and a very sucessful musicians flea market twice a year. He also plays on occasion with John Rossbach and Chestnut Grove in Central New York.
