This page is to explain to anyone about the Dobedo 2002 campaign.
Dobedo 2002 was created by a regular visitor of Dobedo who extremely misses the chat site. Dobedo 2002 is not that old, and many people have requested to have their name put on the list (the list you just seen, press your Back button to see it again or click here). In time, after I have enough people on the list, I will be sending that HTML file, attached to a very important email to hundreds of big companies who could buy Dobedo. I will need some help from you people though. I will need you to email me with your information (your Dobedo name, the email address you wish to be contacted with, any comments and if its OK to have your email address put onto this site) and it would also be good if any of you could send me email addresses of some companies who may be interested. If this fails with one company, I will not stop with another. I am willing to fight to get Dobedo back and I know that I am just a typical 17 year old girl with no chance, but with your help, I could make it happen. This campaign may not be necessary as Dobedo may be opening by itself, but if that is the case, this petition will always be here if Dobedo happens to open and close again.
About Dobedo, Where It Came From and Where It Went
Dobedo was owned by a big company from Sweden called Chili (if you ever went on the Swedish chat and saw the Chili newspapers, that's why they were there. You can also check out Chili's site here, but you need to know Swedish). Chili is a big company who make a magazine and website for Swedish youth about music and typical teenage things like that. Chili bought Dobedo to advertise their company, but, obviously, it failed and had to give it up. Dobedo had three chat sites for three different countries in Europe, Dobedo UK (http://www.dobedo.co.uk), Dobedo Sweden (http://www.dobedo.se - this was the first chat out of them all) and Dobedo Germany (http://www.dobedo.de). Dobedo Sweden was the first and they decided to translate the site into English and have a site based in Britain. Dobedo even had a small office in London. Then they made the German site, which was, and has to be admitted, very sh*t. Then out of the blue, Dobedo made another chat site (http://www.dobedo.dk - the country was unknown) which seemed to have a lot of errors in it. It was still up and running, and had about 10 UK visitors and no staff. Then in November/December 2001, there were rumours going round all three chat sites that the UK Dobedo was closing. Then there was an advertisement on the UK Dobedo that it would be closed by the end of the week, but after that, they UK chat site was still open. People were thinking that it was just a joke, then out of the blue, Dobedo UK was closed. It came to a big suprise for the Swedes because their shut too, and so did Germanys. Dobedo then done a Dobedo Freinds Forever archive where people signed up and other users searched for them and got hold of their email address to get back in touch. This failed. Dobedo was then "This page cannot be displayed" for everyone. Then only just recently, some strange and bizarre things have been going on there. Dobedo failed because they stopped advertising and they stopped letting other companies advertise on their site. Dobedo UK and Dobedo DE were the only chat sites which refused to advertise and that's why their not with us today (this may not be the reason, there are many reasons why Dobedo closed e.g. lack of advertising, Chili did not make enough money etc). Dobedo also had an unknown site, which was never told about (http://www.dobedo.kn). Dobedo was so big, that it was even thinking about making Dobedo clothes, and even thinking of having a Dobedo TV show (information about clothes, TV show and the unknown Dobedo were searched for with http://uk.yahoo.com).
