August 18
Robert and I lost the final at Finstad Fanta Open 2 after winning both the quarter and semi finals 2-1. Robert played like a hero and it was great fun to win the tight matches. I am not used to reaching the finals and to tell all of you fans out there (exclusively) a secret: I must admit I was a bit tired in the last match. We played 15 sets in one day and I am not lying when I tell you that I don't think I could have played, say, 7 sets more that day. Maybe two or three, but definately not 7. So now we know one thing for sure: I can't play more than 18-20 sets in one day.

Dear all fans all over this strange, fascinating, big, crazy, blue and wild planet most of us has been told to know as earth. Dear all other creatures, too, of course. It is time to start the celebrations in all countries in every corner of this strange, fascinating, big, crazy etc...... It is time to jump up and down of pure joy and happiness and shout strange, fascinating, big, crazy, blue and wild words of joy. Due to overwhelming pressure from all my strange, fascinating, crazy, etc fans and sponsors (yeah, right...) I have decided to continue updating my website in one of the world languages so that more of you guys can follow my strange, fascinating, big... no..... not big.... crazy.... blue?... well... follow my career of the strange, fascinating, etc sport of beach volleyball. During the past weeks I have received thousands of emails, smoke signals, postcards, bribes, dead animals and letters in my mailbox urging me to make the website available for more than the few million people familiar to the strange, fascinating...... norwegian language. Since both my French, Russian, Chinese, Portuguese and, particularly, Arabic, are a bit rusty at the moment I chose English.
Finally, last weekend I played tournament on Torshov in Oslo. To read about the tournament click here.

Sunday August 17: Fanta 2 tournament on Finstad.
I will play with Torshov Rookie of the Year, Robert Torp. He is a former Division 1 basketball player who has finally gone mad and converted 100 % to the funniest, sexiest and most meaningless sports in the world, beachvolleyball. Actually we have the pleasure to be seeded as the best team in this tournament.
August 23-24, Rjukan.
I asked Swinger of the Year, Olav Helland (I am his 6th partner of the year in six tournaments this season), and I am glad to announce that he said yes to play with me on the last Fanta 1 tournament in 2003. I will come back with more useless information as the tournament gets closer.
I have a bunch of pictures from the tournamnets to upload, too, but since winter is closing it's cold and dark arms around us soon I thought I'd wait with them so you have something to look forward to the coming months, dear fans all over the world. I love each and every one of you. Don't forget you are all individuals.

P� tide med en oppdatering. Saker og ting har skjedd siden sist, kj�re venner, og det er p� tide � la dere f� vite hva dere skal synes om det.
-Det gleder meg � se at det raser en heftig debatt i gjesteboka ang�ende babefiseringen av norsk beachvolleyball.
-�ystein har trent en del mot snurrige Torshovlag (det milj�et er ikke hva det en gang var), v�rt p� toukers safari p� Sicilia, trent litt mer og spilt Fanta Open to p� Hamar. Les et kort referat her.

Vi endte snodig nok p� en femteplass. Se fyldig referat under referater.
25-26/6-03
Dr�geb�/Hjellset har sine f�rste trenings�kter sammen p� flere uker. Vi skj�nte tidlig at dette skulle bli
en tung dag p� Torshov og at vi burde ha trent mye mer sammen de siste ukene. Desperate av
treningsmangel lot vi oss heller ikke stoppe av striregn. Historien skulle vise at det var et klokt valg. Det
er p� slike dager, venner, at man innser at beachvolleyball stort sett best�r av hardt arbeid. Jeg hadde
perioder der jeg ikke servet inn en eneste ball i l�pet av en halvtimes tid, leggingen bestod ofte i doble
dobbeltslag, smashene var fislete og killprosenten var plutselig blitt til killpromille.
