My letter:
My name is Theresa McFadden. My husband, Sgt. McFadden of the 310th MP Battalion is currently serving overseas in Iraq. I am emailing all local, state, & federal representatives due to the information I received regarding our loved ones who are diligently serving our country and have been for some time now. I am outraged that there would even be a consideration our men and women who are still overseas would not be relieved of there duties. We have two children, who miss their father terribly and cry everyday since he has been put in harms way and taken away from them. I have to keep my children from the news, which is not an easy task, so they do not get up upset when they hear of another soldier injured or god forbid has died since this conflict began. Obviously when they do hear something, they automatically assume the worst and it isnt easy to convince them everything is ok until he contacts them in some way.
My husband and the rest of the 310th MP Battalion have been doing an amazing job in Iraq. From what I hear they have more than accomplished their goals and I for one and extremely proud of what they have done. I do not disagree with the mission at hand but I do disagree with keeping them any longer than necessary. I feel these troops have earned the right to be people again. They deserve to become a part of their familys lives again. I hope and pray you can see the urgency of this matter. Iraq no longer needs our husbands, fathers, mothers, and wives on the other hand we do!
Please help me in my quest to get our loved ones home.
Thanking you in advance.
Upon hearing news that there is a possiblity the 310th MP Battalion would be doing a much longer tour then necessary I felt the need to finally speak out
and express my opinion to all that would hear it. I have sent this letter to our government officials, newspapers, and yes even our President of the United States.
Please feel free to do the same. Please write, email, call and fax as many officials as you can to help me in my quest to bring our loved ones home.
T. McFadden
