Dr. Hatch received her B.A. in English from Westmont College, Santa Barbara; in 2003 she earned her PhD in English from Claremont Graduate University. Her dissertation studied the impact of advances in Victorian science, particularly in physiological optics, on the poet Gerard Manley Hopkins. Dr. Hatch has over ten years
of college teaching experience. At the Claremont Colleges, she has
served as a consultant for Claremont Graduate University's Writing Center,
taught English for Graduate Studies at CGU, and has served as an Instructor
in English for the PACE and International Fellows programs at Pitzer College.
Dr. Hatch has also taught Freshman Writing, Introduction to Literature,
Composition: Theory and Practice, and Children's Literature for Azusa Pacific
University.
