Services are Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Madelia, with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. at the Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia and one hour prior to the service at the church. She is survived by her sons and their wives; Richard and Darlene of Starke, Fla., Thomas and Phyllis of St. James, Lee and Elaine of Albert Lea; daughter Dessa Preuhs and husband Glen of Starke, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and brother Lloyd T. Jones and wife Vivian of Lake Crystal. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Leon, two sisters, a great-grandson and a great-granddaughter. She was born Dec. 24, 1909, in Butternut, to Thomas (Colorado) and Agnes (Williams) Jones. She grew up in rural Butternut and attended rural schools and later Lake Crystal High School where she graduated in 1927. She married Anton (Tony) Tiedeken on Sept. 17, 1929, in Lake Crystal. They farmed in rural Lincoln Township, rural Madelia, until his death in April 1975. She worked as a cook at the Madelia Community Hospital for 18 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she served on the Presbytery and was active in ladies' groups. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Madelia Senior Club, Madelia Hospital Auxiliary, Salem Sunshine Club, and South Central Minnesota Senior Federation. She helped organize Watonwan County Senior Transportation and served as treasurer for many years.
