Sinram, 75, of Clarksville, who died Tuesday at Schoitz Medical Center in Waterloo, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville; burial in Lynwood Cemetery, Clarksville; he is survived by a stepson, Lenne Anderson of Waterloo, two stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Viola Madden of Iowa City; friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home. Clarksville, Iowa Star Thursday, December 27, 1984 Lloyd Sinram Lloyd W. Sinram, 75, of 318 E. Poisal St., Clarksville, died Tuesday, December 18, 1984, at Schoitz Medical Center, Waterloo, Iowa. Lloyd, son of Louis and Josephine Wefel Sinram, was born March 11, 1908 in Butler County near Clarksville. He received his education in the rural school near his home southwest of Clarksville. On Sept. 2, 1933, he was united in marriage to Carolina Mabel Nicklaus Anderson, of Parkersburg, Iowa. They established their home and engaged in farming until 1946 when they moved to Clarksville. Lloyd then became a Carpenter. He continued in this occupation until retirement. He built a new home in Clarksville where he and his wife lived for nearly thirty years. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1980, one sister and one brother, he is survived by one son, Lenne L. Anderson of Waterloo; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Viola Madden, in a Rest Home in Iowa City, a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 21, 1984, at the Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville, with Rev. Conrad Guetzlaff officiating. Special music was "Abide With Me" and "How Great Thou Art". Casketbearers were Galen Sinram, Glenn Sinram, Theodore Sinram, Donald Johnson, Clayton Kampman, and John Brandenburg. Interment followed in Lynwood Cemetery, Clarksville, Iowa. Allison, Iowa Tribune Thursday, November 25, 1982 Margaret (Maggie) Sinram Mrs. Margaret A. Sinram of Clarksville, Iowa was born the daughter of Peter and Bertha Brocka Nicklaus, in Butler County, North of Parkersburg, Iowa on Oct. 16, 1900. She attended rural school near her home. On June 19, 1938, Maggie was united in marriage to Alfred William Sinram in Clarksville, Iowa. Following their marriage they always lived in Clarksville. Maggie was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville, the Martha Circle of the A.L.C.W., and the Altar Guild. Also she was a member of the Live & Learn Club. She had been ill for about three weeks, and died at 11:20 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1982, in Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Maggie had reached the age of 82 years, 1 month, and 1 day. Maggie is survived by her: 2 sons, Delmar Nicklaus, Dyersville, Iowa, and Kent Sinram, Omaha, Nebraska; 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Maulie, Mrs. Elmer Hoerman, Parkersburg, and Mrs. Bertha Sinram, Dumont; and 1 brother, William Nicklaus of Parkersburg. She was preceded in death by her: parents, husband, Alfred, who died on Sept. 16, 1970; 1 grandson; 2 brothers, August and Peter Nicklaus; and 1 sister, Mabel, Mrs. Lloyd Sinram. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 1982, in St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Conrad Guetzlaff officiating. Mrs. G.G. Roose was the organist and the congregation sang: "Abide With Me", "Oh Happy Day", and "How Great Thou Art". Casketbearers were: Bernard Nicklaus, Darwin Nicklaus, Marlyn Nicklaus, Lenne Anderson, John Brandenburg, and Harry Klinetob. Interment followed at Lynwood Cemetery, Clarksville, Iowa. Allison, Iowa Tribune Thursday, May 6, 1993 Bertha Sinram Bertha Marie Sinram, 85, of Dumont, was born the daughter of Pete and Bertha (Brocka) Nicklaus on April 11, 1908 in Butler County. She attended Parkersburg rural schools, and graduated in 1925 from Parkersburg High School. On February 14, 1932, Bertha was united in marriage to Leslie Sinram in Iowa City. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Dumont. Bertha passed away April 28, 1993, at Mercy Hospital in Mason City. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include one brother, William G. Nicklaus of Allison. Funeral Services were held May 1, 1993, 10:30 a.m., at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Dumont with Fr. Walter Kleinfehn officiating. Interment was in the Parkersburg Cemetery. Vogel Funeral Home of Dumont was in charge of the arrangements. Clarksville, Iowa Star Thursday, October 9, 1980 Mrs. Lloyd Sinram Carolina Mabel Nicklaus was born at Parkersburg, Iowa, September 4, 1905, the daughter of Pete and Bertha Brocke Nicklaus. She attended rural school near Parkersburg. On September 2, 1933, at the Little Bit of Heaven Chapel in Davenport, Iowa, she was married to Lloyd Sinram. They farmed Southwest of Clarksville until 1946 when they moved into Clarksville. They built their present home in 1953. Mabel had been ill for a short time and passed away of a heart attack at the Waverly Municipal Hospital, 2:00 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 5, 1980, having reached the age of 75 years, 1 month, and 1 day. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville, and belonged to the Dorcas Circle of the Church. She is survived by her husband Lloyd; her son and daughter-in-law, Lenne and Jean of Waterloo; 2 grandchildren, Don and Susan Anderson; 3 sisters, Mrs. Margaret Sinram of Clarksville, Mrs. Elmer (Maulie) Hoerman of Parkersburg, Mrs. Leslie (Bertha) Sinram of Dumont; and 1 brother, William Nicklaus of Parkersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m., October 7, 1980, at the St. John Lutheran Church in Clarksville, with Rev. Don Feuerhak officiating. Mrs. John Roose was the organist. Casketbearers were John Brandenburg, Darwin Nicklaus, Delmar Nicklaus, Clayton Kampman, Elmer Schrage, and Bernie Nicklaus. Burial was made in the Lynwood Cemetery, Clarksville, Iowa. The Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville was in charge of the arrangements. Clarksville, Iowa Star Thursday, April 23, 1981 Leslie H. Sinram Funeral services for Leslie H. Sinram of Dumont, age 75, were held Thursday, April 16, at 10:30 a.m. at the Vogel Funeral Home in Dumont with Rev. Marvin Ceynar, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Dumont officiating. Burial was made in the St. Patricks Catholic Church Cemetery at Parkersburg with the Vogel Funeral Home of Dumont in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Sinram passed away at the Franklin General Hospital at Hampton on Tuesday, April 14. Mr. Sinram had been in failing health for several years. Leslie H. Sinram was born at Clarksville on June 5, 1905 to Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sinram. On February 14, 1932 he was united in marriage to Bertha Nicklaus at Iowa City. They began farming at Aredale in 1932 and retired from farming in 1974 and moved to Dumont and retired from farming. Mr. Sinram is survived by his wife, Bertha of Dumont; a brother, Louis Sinram of Clarksville; two sisters, Mrs. Violla Madden of Iowa City and Mrs. Otto Bucholz of Clarksville. He was preceded in death by his parents.
