Parkersburg, Iowa Eclipse and New Hartford Review Consolidated (front page) Wednesday, April 21, 1965 Funeral Services for Mrs. Carl Hoffman Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Hoffman, 58, will be today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hoffman died early Monday morning at the home. Hoffman Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Hoffman was born on January 6, 1907 at Parkersburg, Iowa, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Tiedeken Nicklaus. She received her education in the Parkersburg schools and was a graduate of Parkersburg High School. She was married on November 4, 1942 at Fayetteville, North Carolina to Carl Hoffman. The family have always lived at Parkersburg. Margaret was the church organist for many years at St. Patrick's Catholic Church and was serving at the time of her death as president of the Altar Society. Included in her many activities was active membership in the Town and Country Club, Parkersburg Woman's Club, and the Arts and Crafts Club. She had been in ill health for some time and passed away early Monday morning, April 19th, at the home in Parkersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Surviving are her husband, 1 daughter Lisa at home; 3 brothers, Peter B. Nicklaus and Fred Nicklaus, both of Parkersburg, Edward of Chicago, Illinois; 3 sisters, Mrs. Joe Heger, LaSalle, Minnesota, Mrs. Hugh Scallon, Ackley, Iowa, and Mrs. Norbert Richman of Waterloo. Funeral services were held on April 21st at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parkersburg with interment in the St. Patrick's cemetery. in the same paper: Card of Thanks - Our heartfelt thanks to all who assisted in word or deed during the illness and finally the loss of our loved one.
