Parkersburg, Iowa Eclipse (reprinted from Madelia Times-Messenger) Thursday, February 14, 1929 P.B. Nicklaus Weds Minnesota Girl (Madelia (Minn.) Times-Messenger) Mater Dolorosa church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Tuesday morning, February 5, at 8:15 o'clock, when Miss Agnes Heger, daughter of Mrs. L.K. Heger of this city, became the bride of Mr. Peter B. Nicklaus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Nicklaus of Parkersburg, Iowa. The couple were attended by Miss Anna Nicklaus, a sister of the groom, and Mr. Joseph Heger, the bride's brother. The bride was charmingly gowned in a dress of Beadux blue georgette crepe, trimmed with a cluster of silver flowers at the shoulder, and she wore a hat of blue and silver to match and carried a bouquet of Butterfly roses. A gown of dark blue chiffon trimmed with ecru lace and rhinestones and a black satin hat adorned with rhinestones were the accessories worn by the bridesmaid, who carried a bouquet of Premier roses. The groom and his attendant wore the conventional blue. The new Mrs. Nicklaus needs no introduction to the people of this vicinity and Lewisville as she was born and reared in this community. She has a winning, pleasing personality and a host of friends. She is a graduate of Mater Dolorosa school and of the Madelia high school in the class of 1926. For the past two and a half years she has been employed at the Haycraft store at Lewisville, Minn. The groom is a graduate of Parkersburg high school and for several years attended Columbia college. At present he is manager of the Gifford (here the paper apparently skips a line and inserts a line from later in the article) laus, all of Parkersburg, and Miss (the paper skips back -- apparently the line that is missing here says something like -- Grain Elevator in Parkersburg, Iowa,) in which city he and his bride will reside. A three-course wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride's arents following the ceremony. The out-of-town guests were Rev. J.P. Hammill, Mr. George Nicklaus and the Misses Anna and Margaret Nicklaus, all of Parkersburg, and Miss Agnes Baker of Waterville, Minn.
