Waterloo Daily Courier, Tuesday, February 14, 1950 Mrs. Annie Burch Mrs. Annie Burch, 76, of 1109 1/2 East Fourth Street, was found dead in her apartment around 4 p.m. Monday. Death was believed to be the result of a heart attack. Annie Nichlaus was born Sept. 26, 1873, in Galena, Ill., the daughter of George and Katherine Nichlaus. She was married to Asa H. Burch on June 19, 1911, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Burch had been employed in domestic service in Waterloo for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. Surviving is a sister, Miss Kate Nichlaus, of Shenandoah, Ia.; a niece and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. The body is at O'Keefe and Towne funeral home where funeral arrangements are pending. The body was brought to Parkersburg for burial, which was made in the Catholic cemetery on Monday, services being in charge of Rev. Fr. J.P. Hammill. The deceased had been ill for many months and had made his home in this city with Mr. and Mrs. George Nicklaus, but several months ago went to Floyd where he remained until his death.
