Cedar Falls (Iowa) Daily Record Thursday, April 28, 1932 Thole Cramer, sr., died early Thursday morning, April 21, at his home following a long illness. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Congregational church, conducted by the pastor Rev. A. Caskey, interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery by the side of his wife who died in January, 1930. Mr. Cramer was born August 27, 1867 in Waust Schnee, Ostfriesland, Germany. He came to the United States in 1880 and settled in Butler County which has since been his home. He was united in marriage with Anna Marie Nicklaus Jan. 2, 1888. Too this union were born nine children. One son George died in infancy. The surviving children are Charles, Margaret, Anna, Thole, jr., and Henry of Parkersburg; Mrs. Roy Mantz, and Mrs. Paul Sneckenberger of Waterloo; Joseph of Mapleton; four grandchildren and one brother Ben Cramer of Shell Rock. retyped 1998 by Dennis Nicklaus.
