??? Trail, Front Range, Colorado, 2004

Bud and Derrick (me) rode the ? trail, Saturday, September 25th. The clouds were threatening, but we persevered up into the mountains. Grey clouds threatened as we left the trail head parking lot. We climbed up the trail, dismounting often to carry over large boulders. The rain and a bit of sleet started halfway up to the falls, but we persevered. The rain made the rocks pretty slick, so we took it slow and careful on the way down, particularly thru the rocky sections.

The weather was a bit gloomy, but it was still a great ride in the mountains. The trail has quite a few technical sections, several we walked. We took it slow and careful on the wet parts, and had a blast exploring this beautiful, lush valley.

This is a beautiful trail - quite lush for Colorado high country because of the water from the streams. It is quite rocky, this shows a more representative section of trail.

How great would it be to grow up in Colorado riding Llamas thru the back country!

The view at the falls - this is where we turned around. The trail passes this rock outcropping 50' above the falls - beautiful! But the ski was threatening with sleet and thunder, so we turned around and rode the slipper rocks back down the trail.

The trail parallels this stream, just beautiful! The weather was cool and wet, but the ride was great!
