Hall Ranch, Colorado, 2005

Bud, Steve and I met to ride Hall Ranch, a mountain bike trail in Lyon Colorado, just northwest of Boulder, on a warm clear Sunday in March, 2005. We rode the trail in the opposite direction it is typically ridden in - from the small trail head off Apple Valley Road (off route 36) just north of Lyon. We had a short, climb up a steep but mostly smooth trail with plenty of switch backs. We were a bit winded and decided to skip the upper portion of the trail and head straight into the technical, downhill section. It is a blast hopping ledges and picking your way thru the rocky trail down to the main parking area.
