The week before Christmas, 2006, we had a major blizzard here in Denver Colorado - 2 feet of snow in less than 24 hours. Additionally we had lots of wind to drift snow over the following two days. The city is surprisingly under-prepared for major snow storms, the city didn't get plows into our neighborhood for 2 days and even then just on a few major streets. We spent 3 days digging out, here are a few pictures.
The view out our door
Our porch
A cornice hanging off our roof
Our backyard - you can see we had cleared the walk to the garage but it filled in again overnight.
Our neighbor's backyard
Our VW campervan is in there somewhere!
Derrick - trying not to get lost in the snow!

Our alley
Getting started on clearing the snow from the alley - the first pass was the toughest.
