| Heading up the ridge, we were buffeted by strong winds, struggling to grab rocks made slippery with hore frost and stepping across big gaps with long falls on either side. At 14,301', the last of our party thought better of the risks and turned back. None of us made it to the top, but all had a great time, and a big adventure on Blanca! | |||||||
| The hike down was long, but warmer and full of growing stories of the adventures we just went thru. The sun was warm and we had time to look at some of the obstacles on the trail. | |||||||
