| Victoria Cross |
|
Awarded for the most conspicuous bravery, a daring or pre-eminent act of valour or self-sacrifice or extreme devotion to duty, in the presence of the enemy. The highest award any British subject can receive. |
| Distinguished Conduct Medal |
|
The second highest award for gallantry in action, awarded for distinguished conduct in the field. |
| Military Cross |
|
Awarded to commissioned officers of the substantive rank of Captain or below or Warrant Officers for distinguished and meritorious services in battle. |
| Military Medal |
|
The medal is awarded to Warrant Officers, non-commissioned officers and men for individual or associated acts of bravery on the recommendation of a Commander-in-Chief in the field. |
| Meritorious Service Cross |
|
The cross may be awarded to a member of the Canadian Forces (or a member of a foreign military force) for performance, on or after 11 June 1984, of a military deed or a military activity in an outstandingly professional manner or of such a rare high standard that it brings considerable benefit or great honour to the Canadian Forces. |
| Star of Courage |
|
The Star of Courage is awarded only for acts of conspicuous courage in circumstances of great peril. The medal may be awarded posthumously. |
| National Defense Medal |
|
Awarded for those who served either 30 cumulative days in theatre after 29 October 2004 or those who served for one day or more in the theatre of operations during actual hostilities. |
| Judicial Medal |
|
Awarded by the Chief of Defence Staff for exemplary service to the Judge Advocate General's office. |
| Training Medal |
|
Awarded by the Chief of Defence Staff for exemplary service to the Training Department. |
| Maintenance Medal |
|
Awarded by the Chief of Defence Staff for exemplary service to the Maintenance Department. |
| Administration Medal |
|
Awarded by the Chief of Defence Staff for exemplary service to the Administration Department. |
| Qualifications Medal |
|
Awarded to any member who successfully completes a qualification. |
| Recruiting Medal |
|
Awarded to any member of the unit who recruits 5 new members (bar awarded for each 5, wreath after 25). |
| BOC Medal |
|
Awarded to anyone who passes the Basic Officer's Course with honours (90% or more). |
| Superior Assignment Medal |
|
Awarded to any member of the unit who, when tasked with an assignment, completes that assignment to a degree above and beyond that which is required. |
