This magnificient battle axe is larger than the normal sized battle axe. Also it it double bladed much like a greataxe. It is made out of mithril. The haft of this battleaxe is also mithril, hollowed so that it could be filled with a reservoir of quicksilver to pack a bigger punch. Fury was enchanted by a group of elven wizards as a reward for saving the daughter of an elven king. The king had led the dwarf to the treasury, offering him as much as he and two more dwarfs of the same size could carry. Calen though his eyes shined at the offer refused. He had a different reward in mind. Unlike most if his dwarven kin he was not fearful or distrustful of magic. On his travels he had purchased and aquired many weapons and magic artifacts which he freely displayed in his home. But he could never find the perfect weapon for him. So Calen told the elf king that he wanted one thing. He wanted them to enchant a weapon for him, one that he would never lose, one that could never be stolen, and one that could get him out of the most dire of situations, also he wanted to watch as they created it. The elven king agreed. Partly because he felt in debt for the rescue of his daughter. But mostly due to the fact that this would save him and his treasury from the apprasing eye of the dwarf. After days of searching for a weapon that the dwarf would like the elves suggested that they use his battleaxe. Calen thought about it a bit and agreed. Why had he not thought of it earlier? So after the preperations were made Calen placed the axe on a table and watched as three elven wizards went to work. They worked on it for days, on the final day two of the three wizards left. The remaining wizard took a break. Telling Calen not to touch the weapon, because if he did he might disrupt the enchanting process. When he left Calen stood staring at the blade which was still glowing on the table. After a while Calen began walking slowly over to the axe. Not even realizing what he was doing he reached down for it. The elven wizard walked in at the same time and tried to stop him, he grabbed hold of Calens left hand, just as the dwarfs right hand touched the blade. A burst of blue light enveloped Calen and the wizard. Both dwarf and elf cried out in pain, feeling as if their life was being drained. Almost as sudden as it surrounded the the blue light glowed faintly. Calen lost consciousness. He awoke a short while later, the elf was carressing the blade loveningly as he spoke to it. To Calens utter amazement it spoke back! The elf saw the astonishment in the dwarf and explained that when Calen had touched the blade and the elf had grabbed Calen somehow the blade absorbed a little of the elf and the dwarfs life into it. Giving it an intelligence and a mind of it's own. The elf handed Calen Fury, the axe had chosen the name itself, telling the elf and the dwarf this. Calen still a little shocked at the turn of events carried his new 'companion' away from the elven forest. Learning that the blade had taken on one of Calens more famous of traits, though it would do whatever the dwarf asked of it within it's power. It complained about everything just like Calen...And it picked up another trait, though how it had gotten this trait Calen had no idea, it loved to play tricks on any who was not it's master...Often creating more trouble than Calen liked...
