DAVID'S MATH
BOOKMARKS WEB PAGE

These are some of my favorite links:
-
GEOMETRY-This
is an educational web site created for high school geometry students.
Basic concepts, conjectures, and theorems found in a typical geometry textbook
are introduced, explained and investigated. Follow-up activities
are provided to further demonstrate meanings and application of concepts.
The main page is directly connected to twenty conjecture pages. Each
conjecture has its own page with activity sheet sheets for interested students.
The conjectures can be used both as a student or teacher resource.
I use these conjectures as an introductory to new concepts or activities
for reinforcement activities already covered. Geometry sketchpad
is a requirement to run the conjectures.

MATH-This
site is published by the Fairfax County Public Schools. The site
provides links for high school math students that are interactive and usually
written in Java. Java is a programming language that allows the user
to input data, control diagrams by dragging and rotating and even play
games. The interactive Math links covers Algebra, Geometry,Trig,Pre
calculus, Calculus,Statistics,Applications, Optical Illusions, Just for
Fun, SOL/SAT Prep. This site can be used as a teacher or student
resource center.

DICTIONARY
OF MATH TERMS- This educational web site contains
a glossary(dictionary) of most of the words you will use in geometry.
You will see some algebra terms and some trigonometry terms. The
site arranges the terms in alphabetical order from A-Z. The site
is broken down so that you can access the terms quickly based on their
first letter. It gives you a listing of the terms and a brief explanation
of their meaning. This site can be used as a teacher or student resource
center. I have found this site to be the most productive out of all
the sites.

MATH
CLIP ART- This is one of the best web sites for math clip art.
There are over 3100 characters to select from.
-
THREE
DIMENSIONAL DRAWINGS-This site provides the viewer with a first glance,
in depth, examples and workout of the many different theorems related to
geometry. I particularly like the information and drawing on solid
geometry. There are very few sites that are able to provide drawings
and information on three-dimensional drawings.
