If other substantial evidence is obtained, and there is "reasonable suspicion" against the suspect, then the process of DNA fingerprinting can be used to prove whether he is guilty or innocent. There are two main ways to use DNA fingerprinting, first is the hybridization reaction, and second is the southern blot.
