Chapter Twenty:

Justin shook his head and took in a deep breathe. "He's soo hot!" He exclaimed causing Paul and Lynne to laugh. As if they didn't already know that. Justin had told his parents just what had happened that Saturday when he was over at Nick's house. He told them EVERYTHING. And in turn they told Justin to use protection and to start carrying a condom in his wallet just in case. Justin blushed and told them that he wasn't ready for sex but still, they insisted, and now Justin had a condom in his wallet. He was so lucky to have wonderful, understanding, and supportive parents. He didn't know what he would have done if he didn't. And a bonus, they actually liked Nick and his parents.

Justin didn't know just how he got from being near the restroom to standing behind Nick in what felt like a blink of an eye. In Justin's case it was true because he kept staring at Nick, as if he were going to disappear if he blinked, as his dad literally escorted him over to where the Carters' were and when Justin blinked he found himself standing right behind Nick. He reached his hand up and tapped on Nick's shoulder as he held his breath.

Nick was still watching the doors waiting for any sign of Justin when he felt a tap on his shoulder. Something in his mind said that this felt vaguely familiar. He turned around with a raised eye brow. "Yea-" The rest of the word froze on his lips when he saw just who it was that tapped him on the shoulder. His surprised face turned into a frown. "How the heck did you get in here? I've been watching the doors and I didn't see you come in..." He trailed off realizing he just admitted that he was looking for the younger teen. He blushed.

Justin raised his eye brow even though he had a wide smile on his face because of what Nick had just said. "Um, we got here a few minutes before you guys did," he said as he absently licked his lips. Oh man. Oh man. Oh man. Nick looked really good, especially up close.

"Oh," Nick said. His perfect pink lips forming a perfect 'O.' Then he cleared his throat and noticed that Justin's parents were already talking up a storm with his own parents. Just then Brian and his siblings joined them. He almost wished that everyone besides he and Justin would disappear so that he could kiss him.

Brian smiled as he saw Justin. "Hey man," he greeted. "Looking sharp."

Justin smiled, too. "You too, Brian. How's it going?"

"It's going, man. It's good," Brian said. "And you?"

"About the same," Justin replied as BJ, Leslie, and Angel walked over to his side. "Hello ladies, you all are looking beautiful tonight!"

They all beamed and giggled causing Nick and Brian to roll their eyes and mutter a 'oh puh-lease' and then to laugh when BJ and Leslie attempted to swat at the their heads telling them to 'shut up.'

"Okay, kids," Bob said after he and Jane had greeted Lynne and Paul. "Let's go and get seated." He then escorted them over to the elevator that would escort them up to the second floor and then to the balcony that jutted out over the audience on the main floor.

"These are great seats," Lynne said as she took in the perfect view of the stage as well as her seat between Paul and Jane. They were in the first row of the second floor seating section and right in the middle.

"Thanks again for inviting us along," Paul said sitting on the end of the row.

Jane chuckled as she sat down next to Lynne. "Stop thanking us," she said and took the shows' programme from Bob. "We're just glad you all could come." She then helped Angel and Aaron get settled in their seats between her and Bob.

Next to Bob sat BJ, then Leslie, Justin, Nick, and Brian.

There was a bit of bickering between BJ and Leslie but Justin couldn't make out just what they were arguing about but when Bob threatened to have the girls sit between him and Jane, they had zipped their mouths real quick. He couldn't, however, help the jealousy that crept into him when he saw Nick and Brian whispering and chuckling at whatever they were talking about.

The show began precisely at 8 P.M. and that's when all the chit-chat's ended. Justin took in a deep breath and let himself relax but he kept one eye on Nick and another on the stage.

Twenty minutes into the show Justin was engrossed by everything that was going on but was quickly brought out of his concentration when he felt Nick's leg bump into his or was it his leg that bumped into Nicks? He wasn't sure. All he knew was that right now their legs were touching and that part of his body was on fire.

Nick held his breath as their legs made contact. He wasn't sure how their legs got that close but he wanted nothing more than to press his entire body to Justin wanting to feel that heat through out and all over. He licked his lips before biting his bottom one and looked at Justin through the corner of his eyes. He slid down a bit more, his body needing to get comfortable, causing for his thigh to rub against Justin's leg.

Justin narrowed his eyes. He couldn't help but wonder if Nick was doing to this to him on purpose and if he was... couldn't Nick just flip over on top of him and rub their bodies together? He closed his eyes and tried hard to think of something less arousing instead of where their bodies were touching. He couldn't. It was so distracting.

Both Nick and Justin had managed not to show any signs of desire for the other and kept their hands to themselves. Neither could have been more relieved when it came time for the fifteen minute intermission around 9:15.

Trying to keep his calm and not make himself obvious Nick took in a deep breath and stood up. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom," he said, stretching before walking down the isle past Brian who said the same thing and followed Nick.

Justin had wanted to go to the bathroom mainly to calm his nerves down but frowned when Nick beat him to it and wrinkled his forehead when Brian quickly followed Nick. 'What the hell is going on between those two?' Justin silently questioned. He felt someone nudge his arm and looked to his right to find everyone looking at him. "Huh?"

Leslie chuckled. "Where were you?" She questioned. "My mom was calling your name..."

Jane looked amused. "I asked you if you were enjoying the show," she repeated her question.

Justin blushed and nodded his head. "Oh, sorry." He didn't know anyone was talking to him since he was so lost in his own thoughts. "Yes, I am. Thank you for inviting me," he said, smiling.

Jane shook her head and Bob laughed. "What's with you folks, is it 'cause you're from the South and it's a weird tradition or custom to keep thanking people?" Bob questioned.

Justin just shrugged his shoulders. He had no clue. "I think I'm gonna go use the bathroom, too," he said as he stood up and walked out the doors towards the restrooms. Just as he opened the door to enter he stopped, gasping. "Geeez," Justin said putting his hand over his chest. "Scare a guy why don't ya?"

Brian laughed. "Sorry man, I was just leaving, didn't mean to scare you," he said smiling big at Justin. "I'll see you back inside." He looked behind him for a quick glance before looking back at Justin, beaming. Then he was gone leaving Justin to stare at the closed door, confused.

Nick walked out of the stall and headed over to the sink to wash his hands. He turned his head over to the door and smiled before frowning when he noticed Justin standing there watching the door. "You know Timberlake, it might actually help if you grab that little bar thing on the door and push down before pulling it... these doors don't open automatically especially if you stare at them."

Justin was startled when he heard Nick's voice in the otherwise quiet bathroom. He slowly turned around and shook his head. "I KNOW that," he said. "It's just that Brian was acting funny."

Nick raised his eye brow and crossed his arms over his chest before leaning against the sink. "What do you mean?"

Justin thought about how to answer that question for a few moments as he walked into one of the stalls to do his business. "He was just smiling big at me, like he knew something and I didn't," he said unzipping himself so he could pee.

Nick watched the closed stall door and smiled. He thought back to the conversation he and Brian just had a few minutes earlier before Justin walked in. He had told Brian about his and Justin's legs resting against each others and how that spot felt like it was burning. Brian had shook his head with laughter and pinched his cheeks saying something about how adorable Nick was being and how Brian had never seen Nick act this happy and giddy before. Nick had just laughed and hugged Brian tight to the point that Brian was begging to let him go because his bones were being crushed and he was finding it hard to breath. Nick had let go of Brian and said he was going to use the bathroom and Brian had said he would head back to his seat. The moment Nick had entered the stall was the same moment as when Justin had walked in, he could hear Brian and Justin's voices talking but couldn't make out what they were saying. "Brian's like that, usually," he said.

Justin tucked himself in and flushed the toilet before walking out of the stall and over to sink to wash his hands. "That's just plain freaky," he said looking over at Nick shaking his hands into the sink, to get rid of the excess water. He walked to the other side of Nick and pulled out some tissue to wipe his hands with. He was pretty close to Nick, almost leaning into him since Nick was RIGHT by the tissue dispenser box, Nick's cologne hit his senses. He threw the wet tissue into the garbage.

Nick shrugged as Justin went about cleaning his hands and before he knew what he was doing his arms had uncrossed and his hands were resting on Justin's hips. Hell, Justin was right there, he couldn't help it. He smirked at Justin when the younger teen looked at him with surprise. Nick was still leaning against the sink counter as he spread his legs a bit so that Justin could get between them. "You look good tonight," he said, his voice dropping down low for no apparent reason at all.

Justin's eyes widened as his heart started to pound against his chest. "Yo... you loo..look goo..good.. good too," he stuttered out as he placed his hands on Nick's chest, his mouth was all of a sudden really dry.

Nick leaned forward a bit, there wasn't much space between them even though there wasn't much distance to travel, and nuzzled their noses together. Pulling back, he smiled. "We should get back in, the show's about to start." He let go of Justin and straightened up.

Justin narrowed his eyes as he felt his heart sink. He couldn't help the disappointment that resulted on his face as Nick pulled away.

Nick smiled apologetically at Justin before squeezing his hand and leaning over to whisper in his ear. "Don't be disappointed," he said. "I just didn't want our first kiss to be in the bathroom of the MET."

Justin looked over at Nick as he watched Nick walk over to the door and open it for him. He wasn't that disappointed anymore and yes, he didn't want to have their first kiss in the bathroom either. He gave a shy smile at Nick before walking back to their seats and just in time too, the performance was just about to start. Justin looked down at his watch and noted that it was exactly 9:30 P.M. 'Damn, these people do things like clockwork,' he thought to himself. The lights dimmed and he got comfortable in his seat but it wasn't until about, again, twenty minutes into the show that his mind began to wander over Nick. Looking down he saw that Nick's hand was resting on the arm rest between them and before he knew it he discreetly reached over and placed his hand on top of Nick's.

Nick was startled at first when he felt something on his hand but when he looked down he noticed Justin's hand right above his and he smiled before turning his hand over so that Justin's fingers could fall into the places between his fingers. He brought his attention back to the stage and felt Justin squeeze his hand for a brief second, he squeezed right back.

They watched the rest of the show in content silence and when 10:45 P.M. rolled by and the lights brightened Nick let go of Justin's hand which caused Justin to frown but it didn't stay long on his face because he understood why Nick had done it.
