Chapter Twenty-Six: [Boise, Idaho. -- Friday, April 3rd.]
Justin inserted his key card at his door and opened it.
AJ walked up behind Justin. "Thanks for opening OUR door," he whispered. Sure, they had talked about just having one room but they hadn't really said anything since. He had talked to Kevin and Kevin said it would be okay so he got that all set up to start here. He just hoped that Justin would still want to.
Justin was a little shocked at first but then he chuckled. "Wow, that was fast," he said smiling as he walked into the room and dropped his bags by the table. "We just talked about that like what, yesterday or the day before?... Cool!"
"You're okay with it? Cuz if you aren't I'll get my own room," AJ said quickly, really hoping he hadn't done the wrong thing.
"No," Justin said and then quickly added. "No, don't go. I'm fine with this. It beats the hell out of running back and forth from your room to mine. Stay."
AJ smiled as he put his bags down and then took his bathroom things into the bathroom. The whole time just trying to keep himself busy so he wouldn't pounce on Justin since they didn't have time to finish what they had started earlier.
Justin scratched his head as he looked around the room and his eyes landed on the one king sized bed. Hmmm. "Hey Age?" He questioned as he thought about something. "Are Nick and I coming along with you guys or are we staying in the hotel?"
"I would think you guys were staying here today, but I don't really know. I guess that's kind of up to Nick," AJ called from the bathroom where he was actually attempting to use the toilet but it wasn't really working with how hard he still was.
"Oh okay," Justin said and then 'hmmmed' "I'll be right back, I'm gonna go and ask Nick." With that he walked out of the room and walked down the hall to Brian's and Nick's door. He knocked and a few seconds later Brian opened the door. "Um, am I coming along or am I staying here with Nick?"
Brian thought about that for a minute before turning around and asked Nick. "Nick, you want to come along with us or not?"
"Me wana stay here," Nick replied, just wanting to spend time with Justin today and chill out without having to be around a lot of weird people like yesterday.
Brian turned back to Justin with a chuckle. "Um, that answer your question?" He questioned.
Justin nodded his head. "Yup, it does. Thanks," he said and walked back down to his room. He smiled as he thought about the surprise he wanted to give AJ when he’d come back to the hotel. Walking inside his room he said. "I'll see you after the concert then."
AJ was walking back out of the bathroom when Justin came back into the room. "Alrighty..." He then walked over to Justin and pulled him into his arms for a heated, passionate kiss that almost made him cum.
Justin was totally caught off guard with the kiss but once the shock wore off he chuckled. Placing his hands on AJ's waist he kissed him back just as passionately. When they pulled apart he asked, "What was that for?"
"I wanted to sexually frustrate myself more," AJ laughed as he stepped away from Justin. "Plus don't you think the fans would love to see AJ McLean harder then a rock dancing?"
Justin frowned. "Hey now, they don't need to be getting THAT side of MY AJ," he said pouting. "Only me. Besides, isn't your concert like in a couple of hours anyways? You think you're gonna be hard till then?" Justin raised an eye brow.
"You don't think I can do it?" AJ asked with his own eyebrow raised. This sounded like a challenge and AJ was never one to turn down a challenge.
"I don't know," Justin said as he let his hand reach down and squeeze AJ's crotch. "You seem pretty hard right now... if I could just... yes..." He nodded his head and smirked at AJ. "Then you wouldn't have any problems and no one else will have to see just how turned on you are..."
AJ moaned loudly and was about to tell Justin they didn't have any time for this when he didn't really have to because there was a knock on the door.
"Quit screwing around and come on AJ!" Came Kevin's voice. "We're waiting for you and Justin needs to get to Nick."
Justin chuckled as he leaned in and whispered in AJ's ear. "I've got something for you, tonight," he said and gently bit his ear before pulling away and turning AJ around, opening the door, and quickly pushing him out the door. "Have fun you guys," he said smiling as he walked past a shocked looking AJ and a confused looking Kevin and down the hall to Brian's door.
"My dick is so going to fall off," AJ laughed as he walked with Kevin down the hall to the elevator where Howie was already waiting for them. Brian would be joining them soon once Justin got to Nick.
Brian smiled as Justin walked into the room. "He's all yours," he said waving at Nick. "I found this itch cream thing and I already put some on him, so he should be alright. I'll see you guys after the concert okay and stay out of trouble you two..." Brian leaned down and kissed Nick on his head before waving good bye and joining the rest of the guys by the elevator. Brian raised his eye brow when he took in AJ's appearance. "People are going to start wondering about us.. not that they don't already but THIS," he said waving at AJ, "Is just going to fuel their already overactive imaginations." He laughed.
"I take it you and Justin solved whatever was going on last night and this morning?" Howie questioned as they got on the elevator.
AJ laughed at Brian and nodded at Howie. "Hey, I'm going for the, 'Yes I'm a normal guy who get's hard' look."
Kevin busted up laughing at that. "I think they all know that without you having to show it off Aje."
"Well, this is going to be interesting," Howie said as the doors closed.
Nick smiled up at Justin, happy to have time with his friend. "What we do?" he asked, wondering what they were going to do for the rest of the day.
Justin beamed as he looked at Nick. "We're going to go shopping," he said as he walked over to Nick's suitcase and looked through it for a base ball hat and a hoodie. It was a bit cold outside since it had rained the night before in this city. "Here put these on."
"What we get?" Nick asked as Justin helped him put the hooded sweatshirt on. He then pulled his baggy jeans down a little showing off the tops of his boxers like all the 'cool' guys did. He was still wearing a diaper under the boxers but he had begged Brian to let him wear both...but looking at him now you wouldn't know he was wearing a diaper too.
"We're gonna get some... food and flowers..." he said and then called the front desk requesting a car along with directions/map to all the stores in this city. Once he was done he hung up the phone and decided to pack Nick's bag just in case. He placed a box of wipes, itch cream, rash powder, and two diapers in the bag. "Hmmm, do you want to bring Joe or Mr. Winky along?" He questioned holding each stuffed animal in his hands.
"Joe," Nick answered, he didn't want to bring Mr. Winky out just in case he got lost. Mr. Winky was too special to go out.
"Alrighty," Justin said as he placed Joe in the bag just how Nick liked it, with it's head sticking out. Just then the phone rang. Justin answered it. It was the front desk telling him that the car was ready. He thanked them and hung up. "Let's get going champ." He rubbed his hands together, excited.
"Lookie me big boy!" Nick exclaimed as he walked down the hall with his pants sagging and boxers showing.
Justin laughed. "Yah, you are, just don't trip or nothing," he said shaking his head.
Nick laughed too. "Me wont fall," he said as they headed out back to the car and climbed in. He smiled big to see they even got his car seat already settled in it. He got in his seat and waited for Justin to buckle him up as he happily made driving noises.
Justin checked the map and smiled as he noticed that there was a K-Mart not too far away. Maybe a ten to fifteen minute drive. "Okay buddy," Justin said as he turned the radio on to the station he knew that the guys would be on.
Nick smiled big when he heard the guys' voices on the radio. "Dat daddy!" he exclaimed happily.
Justin chuckled as he nodded his head. He kept his eyes fixed on the road before him and he pulled out of the driveway and onto the main street. They both listened to the guys talking for the next twenty minutes before Justin pulled up in the almost empty parking lot of K-Mart.
"Me get stuff?" Nick asked, wondering what they were getting HIM while at the store because if you go to the store its always for him.
Justin sighed. "Um, not really. I don't have enough money for that. We're actually going to get something for AJ. You see, he's been really stressed out this week and I thought I could do something for him so he could... not be so... frustrated," he explained as he got out of the car before opening the door for Nick and helping him out. "I promise, next time we go to a store, we'll get you something."
Nick seemed to understand that and smiled. "Otay...we get AJ toys?" he asked, thinking that if you get somebody a gift you always had to get them toys. He got out of his car seat and walked with Justin into the store.
"Not really," Justin said as he grabbed a cart and pushed it down the isle. "AJ wants to relax and I think he wants candles, flowers, fruits, chocolate, whipped cream, some music..." Justin trailed off as he grabbed two bottles of whipped cream, one regular and one chocolate.
"Ohhh," Nick said as he watched Justin put the things into the cart. He had to admit they all looked good to him. "Can me get him something too?"
"Sure, what do you want to get him?" Justin questioned as they turned into the fruit isle. He grabbed one baskets of strawberries.
Nick looked around and saw his favorite thing. He then walked over and picked it up. "Me wana give him dis," he said handing Justin the banana. It was a little ironic that Nick would pick a banana since those were often used in sex ed classes to go with condoms.
Justin held his laughter in as he took the banana from him. "I'll make sure to tell AJ that this is from you." Then they walked down to another isle and Justin picked up quite a few dozen, on sale, candles. Strawberry, vanilla, and rose scented ones. He then contemplated whether or not he should buy some CD's but then shrugged the thought away. He had his laptop, he could download the music and burn it on to a CD.
"You done?" Nick asked after about half an hour at the store. He was getting antsy looking at things like flowers and fruits.
"Um..." Justin said as he looked down in the cart and went through his mental check list. Chocolates... Strawberries... Banana... Candles... Whipped cream... and Flowers... "Yup." He then escorted them down the pharmacy isle as he quickly and discreetly grabbed the box of condoms he knew they would need and a bottle of lube while Nick was looking the other way. Thank god. They finally made it to the cashier.
As they stood in line waiting for the line to move and it was soon to be their turn, Nick started to do a little potty dance in his spot. He had, had to go for the last twenty minutes or so and now it was getting hard to hold it, but he for some reason didn't tell Justin. He was too busy looking at the cool stuff in the check out line as he shifted from one foot to the other.
As the old lady started to scan the items in Justin took that opportunity to look over at Nick. He noticed the look on his face and the shifting from one foot to the other. Oh man, Nick had the worst timing for everything. Justin shook his head. "You really gotta go now?" He questioned, whispering in Nick's ear.
Nick nodded his head but then ended up shaking it because he couldn't hold it anymore and was now peeing in his pants. He hadn't meant to wait this long to tell him...they had just been both very busy getting things for AJ that his mind hadn't really told him he had to go until it was too late.
Justin sighed. "I'm guessing it's too late then?" He questioned and waited for the bag boy to carefully bag all his purchases. He then paid for everything and grabbed the bags.
Nick looked at Justin with sad eyes and nodded his head. He really hadn't meant to do that. He so badly wanted to be a big boy and use the potty all the time but his body just wasn't being nice to him and it was really starting to frustrate him. He stomped his food and mumbled something about 'bad pee pee'.
Justin chuckled as he escorted them through the doors and back to the car. He placed everything in the trunk before getting Nick seated in his car seat. "I told you it's going to take some time to get everything under control," he said as soon as he was behind the wheel. "It's not something that'll change over night. You're going to have A LOT more accidents."
Nick sighed and nodded his head as he started playing with his car seat toys. "But me no wana have accident no more," he said with a pout. "It ucky."
"I know buddy but that's why it's called training. You'll learn just when you need to inform someone that you need to go to the bathroom in advance so you'd have time to get to the bathroom before it's too late. And you'll learn... don't worry about it. We all went through it so it's not just you," Justin said as he stopped at a red light and turned his attention to Nick.
"Yeah, you told me," Nick said, remembering Justin telling him a story about when he was being potty trained. "We go back now?" he asked, wondering if they were going back to the hotel now or what.
"Yah, we are," Justin said. "We'll get you changed out of those icky diapers so you wont feel itchy or anything like that." Justin then started driving when the light turned green. A few minutes later his cell phone went off and he knew he couldn't drive and talk on the phone at the same time, according to the law. So, he took the phone from his pocket and handed it over to Nick. "Answer it for me."
Nick took the cell phone and opened it up. "Hewwo?" he asked into the phone, wondering who it was that was calling.
"Hey Nicky," Brian greeted, a bit confused. "Um, what are you doing answering Justin's cell phone?"
"Justin say me answer it," Nick replied as he relaxed back in his seat like he always saw the guys do when they were talking on the phone.
"Oh," Brian said and asked, "Why did he ask you to answer it? What is he doing?"
Justin looked over at Nick as they turned a corner. "Who is it?"
"Daddy," Nick replied to Justin's question. "He dwiving da car...we go by tings for AJ..."
Justin immediately reached over and grabbed the phone out of Nick's hand before he could say anything else. "Shhhh," Justin said covering the mouth piece and laughing a little.
Brian wrinkled his forehead as he tried to hear what Nick was saying. The commotion around him was making it quite difficult. "What? What did you say?" He questioned covering his other ear.
Justin put the phone back to his ear just in time to hear Brian's question being yelled through the phone. "Brian, it's Justin. Is everything okay? Why did you call me?"
"Oh, I called because I wanted to just check up on you two. We just got to arena, everyone's really busy getting the stage fixed and all that stuff. We'll be back at the hotel at like 6:00 PM tonight and rest up for an hour and then go back for the concert," Brian yelled into the phone.
Justin's heart sunk. No, they couldn't be coming back to the hotel. They couldn't be. That ruined everything. EVERYTHING! Justin sighed. "Okay, thanks for the update," he said. "I'll see you guys then, bye." He gave the phone to Nick and told him to say bye to Brian.
"No come back...den AJ no supize," Nick said actually telling Justin's fears. "Stay bye bye daddy...wit AJ...no come back!"
"What?" Brian questioned as he finally got inside his dressing room. His quiet, silent dressing room. "I didn't hear you, say that again?"
Justin had the phone now. "Oh, he just said bye bye daddy," he said.
"Oh," Brian said. "Okay. Tell him I love him and to behave."
"Okay, bye," Justin said as he hung up the phone and sighed. "He says that he loves you and for you to behave." Justin looked over at Nick with a pout on his face.
"Me say lots more den bye bye," Nick said with a pout too. "No AJ come back...den bye bye supize!"
"I know buddy," Justin said. "But if we tell that to Brian then he might tell AJ just why they couldn't come back to the hotel because they'll all wonder why and Brian would have to explain to them." He paused. "That is why we're going to have to come up with a plan."
Nick thought for a minute. "We do supize when day go bye for show?" he asked, thinking that they could do it when they left the second time instead of before.
Justin hadn't thought of that. "Wow, I didn't even think of that," he said as he ruffled Nick's hair. "You're a genius."
Nick giggled and sat for the rest of the car ride in silence just playing with his car seat toys and talking to Joe who supposedly was talking back because there was a whole conversation going on in the back seat.
"Yah, but I think we can do two surprises," Justin said thinking out loud. He knew that the guys were going to be tired after their sound check and he knew that the guys haven't relaxed all that much as of late. He remembered just how peaceful the park had been in Seattle so, why not make a surprise dinner of sorts... like a candle lit dinner... in a secluded part of the park here in Boise. Yeah. "Hey Nicky? What do you think of a candlelit dinner in the park for all of us?"
Nick looked slightly confused. "Not AJ supize?" he asked, meaning that it wasn't just for AJ but for everybody.
"No, yes," Justin said. "I mean. The surprise for AJ is still there but that's AFTER they get home from the concert. I'm talking about before they go to the concert... like when they come back to the hotel after the sound check. We can tell their driver to drive them to the park instead of the hotel and surprise them with dinner," he explained as he pulled up to the front of the hotel. He turned the engine off and got out of the car. He quickly helped Nick out and grabbed his bags as he gave the keys to the valet guy and thanked him for the car.
Nick smiled at the idea and then thought of something that he wanted for dinner. "Icken..." he said with a nod like he was the one that could plan it all. He wanted chicken for dinner so seemed like they should have it.
Justin chuckled as they walked over to the elevator and got on. "I'm going to call some of the restaurants and see if they have anything that's within my budget and we'll go from there, okay Nicky?"
Nick pouted a little, "No icken?" he asked, really wanting chicken...the boy was a HUGE chicken fan.
"I'll check it out but I'm not making any promises," Justin said as they got off the elevator and walked down the hall to his room.
"Otay," Nick said still pouting a little as they walked into Justin and AJ's room. "Me tirsty," he said as he put his back pack down on the floor by the couch.
Justin carefully placed all of his bags on the bed before walking over to Nick. "Aw man," he said as he remembered that he hadn't packed any bottles for Nick. "Um, gimme a minute and then we'll go back to your room. I left the bottles there."
"Water?" Nick asked, he was really thirty for some reason so water even sounded good to him. It was then that he remembered how wet he was. "Den change me?"
Justin nodded his head. "Okay." He walked over to the fridge and took out one of the bottles before opening it up and giving it to Nick. "Let me just put the fruits and things in the fridge so they don't spoil," he said as he went to his bags and put the flowers, fruits, whipped cream, and chocolate in the fridge. He quickly hid the box of condoms and bottle of lube in the drawer of the nightstand table. When he was done he turned his attention to Nick.
Justin hadn't hid the stuff fast enough though...or well it was more the fact that the bags had been sitting next to him in the back seat of the car and he had seen the box. "No hurt AJ...otay," he said as if he was a lot older then two. His eyes were on the night stand drawer as he said this. He wasn't scared though...even though he knew just why his daddy used those things...or well the condoms anyway. He just wanted to make sure that Justin wasn't going to hurt AJ.
Justin's face burned with embarrassment at being caught. "I'm not going to hurt AJ," he said. "I would never hurt him OR anyone for that matter. I'm not THAT kind of a guy." He figured out why Nick had said that and felt the need to explain.
Nick smiled at that, obviously happy with Justin's answer. He didn't really understand the concept of sex and stuff but he just knew that condoms meant owie things...he just began to think that maybe Justin was going to use them for something else other then the owie things.
Justin cleared his throat and then scratched his head. "Um, you still want me to change you?" He questioned not knowing if Nick still wanted him to after seeing the condoms.
Nick had to admit he was a little scared but he didn't know what else to do about his really wet pants. "Pweeze?"
Justin nodded his head as he walked over to Nick's bag and took out the things he would need. "Um, lay down on the bed?"
Nick did what Justin said and lied down on the bed looking up at the ceiling and trying hard not to think of the condoms and owie things.
Justin quickly pulled Nick's pants and boxers down before undoing Nick's diaper. He grabbed the wipes and wiped Nick clean before applying the anti-itch cream and then the rash powder. He took out the new diaper and put it on Nick before pulling up the boxers and the pants. "There, all done," he said. He had noticed the scared look on Nick's face and it hurt him to see that Nick would think he was like his father and do something like that to him. "See, I didn't hurt you," he said in a near whisper, as a pout formed on his face.
"Me know you no hurt me," Nick said with a smile as he sat up and hugged Justin. "Me just member," he said talking about how seeing the condoms made him remember things... not that he was scared Justin would do it too.
Justin smiled as he hugged Nick back. "You know, condoms aren't such bad things," he said when he pulled back from Nick. "It all depends on what kind of people use it. You're dad was a bad kind of person..."
"Dat why me wive with daddy, you, AJ, Kevin and Owie...cuz dat daddy bad." Nick said calling Bob Carter 'dat daddy' since Brian was his daddy now.
Justin nodded his head. "Yes, that's why. He's was a bad daddy and Brian is a good daddy. Brian will never hurt you like that!" He said before sighing. He got the urge to go kill Bob right now. One day he knows he's going to give him a piece of his mind. "Okay, let's start calling the restaurants and see who's got the cheapest chicken meal," he said chuckling.
Nick got up and walked to look out the window thinking he had saw something when they had drove in. "Dare...Dare!" he said pointing at a KFC that was a block away from their hotel but you could still sort of see the sign from the window.
Justin walked over to see just what Nick was pointing at. He wrinkled his face. He didn't think that THAT was a good dinner idea. "Um, I was thinking something more... fancy," he said walking over to look at the city guide that was placed on the table.
Nick was sort of confused...he remembered having a picnic in the park with his grandparents once and that was what they had. "But dat what eat at park."
"Uh huh," Justin said. "But this is like a dinner... a nice relaxing... candlelit dinner... in the park. I don't think KFC is the exact kind of chicken that should be eaten in a setting like that," he explained and then said, "Unless you want KFC then I could order it separately for you."
Nick shook his head as he sat down on the floor and pulled out his coloring book and crayons thinking he would color since he really didn't know how to help Justin anymore. He didn't know anything about fancy stuff.
Justin looked through the restaurants section of the city guide and frowned at everything he saw. The only thing that caught his attention was Olive Garden. "Oh, look, Nick," he said. "How does Chicken Alfredo sound to you?"
Nick didn't really know what that was. "Me no know."
Justin chuckled. "Um, it's chicken with this really yummy sauce and pasta," he said. "You like pasta, don't you?"
Nick thought about that a second before nodding his head. "Me do," he said without looking up from his coloring book.
Justin nodded his head as he looked down at the menu listing and smiled at the price. It all fit in his budget. He picked up the phone and called Olive Garden and placed his order for six dinners. When he was done he hung up and called the Boys' driver. After a few minutes of explaining his plan and the driver assuring him that he wouldn't tell the guys that he'd just drop them at the park and leave only to return when it was time for the concert, Justin hung up the phone and looked at Nick. He couldn't help the big smile that was on his face. He got on his knees and just hugged Nick and kissed his cheek.
"What dat for?" Nick asked once he wasn't stuck in Justin's hug anymore.
"I don't know," Justin said. "I just got the urge to do it and so, I did it."
Nick giggled and then pointed down at his picture. "Spiderman..wed and bu," he said showing he knew that Spiderman was red and blue. "He gets bad guys...tink he get bad daddy?"
Justin looked down at the coloring and bit his lower lip. "I'm sure he would," he said. "I'm sure he would."
"Me want Spiderman to get bad daddy...so me no scared no more." Nick said as he looked up at Justin with big blue eyes.
"I'll tell Brian to ask Spiderman to get bad daddy," Justin said. "Brian's got connections."
Nick's eyes went as wide as quarters. "Brian know Spiderman!"
Oh boy. "Hey, they're the Backstreet Boys. They know a lot of people," Justin said. What did he get himself into?
"Ohhh..." Nick said in total shock. "Otay, you tell Brian me want Spiderman to get bad daddy...and den Brian tell Spiderman," he said with a nod of his head as he went back to coloring in his book.
If it didn't look completely weird in front of Nick... Justin would have banged his bead on the table. He smiled a nervous smile and nodded his head. "Sure thing, buddy."
"When we go park?" Nick asked as he colored in his coloring book with his tongue sticking out of his mouth as he concentrated.
"Um," Justin said looking at the time. The guys just started sound check and that wouldn't end until...maybe... in two hours. "In an hour and a half. I still have to get the stuff together and call the park to make sure we get the private and secluded area."
"Otay," Nick said as he continued to color but while in the middle of trying to get the picture finished he kept yawning.
Justin chuckled. "You haven't had your nap today, have you?" He questioned when he noticed Nick yawn.
Nick looked up at Justin and pouted, "Me no wana!" he whined. Normally he liked sleeping but for some reason today he didn't feel like it.
"Why not?" Justin questioned wrinkling his forehead. "I'll wake you up in a hour when we have to go to the park."
"Me just don't wana," Nick said as he continued to pout. He was beginning to get whiny which was a sure sign he really NEEDED that nap no matter if he wanted it or not.
"What if I lay down with you?" Justin questioned. "You and I could take a little nap..."
Nick shook his head as he looked down at his coloring book and kept coloring. He was really into a 'I want it my way and I WILL get it MY way' mood today even after what happened in the IHOP parking lot.
Justin sighed as he rubbed his hand over his head. "Okay." He then stood up and picked up the directory by the phone and looked for the manager of the park he wanted the picnic to take place. He looked through it for a few minutes till he found it and called him. After another few minutes everything was explained and set. When he hung up he took in a deep breath and looked down at Nick.
Nick was now lying on his stomach with one arm holding him up and the other still coloring, but if you watched closely you would notice that every once and a while his blue eyes would drift shut before he would force them open again.
Justin looked at the time. Now they had exactly one hour left before they would have to leave for the park in time to get everything set. He decided to slide down to the floor and watch Nick color. By the way Nick looked at the moment, Justin figured he wouldn't last another five minutes.
And Justin was right, in four minutes and twenty seven seconds Nick's head gently slid to the floor and he was out like a light lying on top of his blue and red picture of Spiderman.
The floor looked awfully uncomfortable, Justin thought and that is why he held in his breath and picked Nick up as gently as he could without waking him and put him in bed. Once he was tucked in and looking comfortable Justin sat next to him and moved the strands of hair to the side. Nick was adorable when he slept.
Justin didn't know just when he had fallen asleep and he didn't know just what had woken him up but as he looked at the time he thanked god for whatever it was. He still had a few minutes to get the picnic blanket and go over to the restaurant and pick up the food but he decided waking Nick up now would be a good idea. Sitting up he leaned over to Nick and gently began to rub his cheek with the back of his fingers. "Nicky... hey, buddy. It's time to wake up."
Nick started to whimper and fuss as he pulled the blankets up over him even more. It was funny how he didn't want to go to sleep before but now he didn't want to wake up either.
Justin wrinkled his nose before moving his hands under the covers and started to tickle Nick.
Nick started to half cry and half laugh as he was so rudely woken up. "Go bye bye!" he yelled through tears and giggles. He was just not the type of person who liked to be woken up especially if he had only been asleep for a half an hour.
"No go bye bye," Justin said as he tried to avoid Nick's hand that was swatting at his head. "We have to go to the park. You know... surprise dinner... picnic. We'll be having chicken..."
Nick opened one eye, and then the other before he was looking up at Justin with two big blue eyes. "Supize at da park wit icken?" he asked making sure he had heard right.
Justin chuckled as he looked at Nick. "Yup, surprise chicken dinner at the park."
"Otay," Nick said as he sat up and stretched his arms over his head. "Me weddy let's go...Joe?" he asked not really meaning to rhyme things but he really wondered...where Joe had gotten to.
Justin got up and walked over to Nick's bag. "Joe's here," he said picking him up and showing Nick.
Nick got out of bed and took Joe from Justin. "We go now?" he asked before looking around to see if there was anything else he wanted to do before they left.
Justin picked up Nick's bag and put all the wipes and diapers and things in it. "Um, yah," he said. "We just have to go pick up your bottles from Brian's room."
Nick shook his head, "Me no want dem," he said softly. He really didn't want them because he didn't want to have an accident again. He knew it was normal at his age but that didn't make him feel any better about it really. Now that he wanted to actually do it...he wanted to do it right and it was just not working and it was well...really ticking him off.
"Um, but your going to get thirsty after eating dinner." Justin pointed out.
Nick pouted because he knew Justin was right but he still didn't want them. "I...otay," he said with a sigh as they walked out of the room.
Justin decided he'd just get some drinks for everyone at the restaurant. They got on the elevator and went to the car. Justin helped Nick in his seat before getting in behind the wheel and driving off to Olive Garden to pick up the orders.
While in the car Nick started to sing little songs to himself as he made Joe dance around on the bar of his car seat.
Once they made it to the restaurant Justin unbuckled Nick and they made their way inside. He was happy when the orders were ready and everything was paid for along with a few bottles of coke, sprite, and water. Once everything was settled there they got back in the car and drove to the park.
"Me pay on da swings, Justin?" Nick asked once they parked at the park and were getting all the things out of the car. "Me willy willy wana swing."
Justin looked over at the swing set and nodded his head. "Sure, but first let me just grab these things and then we can head on in," he said. As they walked to the park, he greeted the security guard who let them in the private area. "Okay, you can go but don't go anywhere else. Stay where I can see you."
"YAY," Nick cheered as he ran over to play on the swing set that was actually really close to where Justin was setting up dinner.
Justin kept looking over at Nick every few seconds as he laid the picnic blanket down and set the dishes on it. He then proceeded to screw in the candle holders into the ground before sticking just plain white candles on it. He'd light them up when the guys arrived. Once everything was set and to his satisfaction he walked over to where Nick was and sat down on the swing next to him.
"When day come?" Nick asked as he pushed his feet so the swing would swing back and forth a little but not too high since he didn't know how to pump his legs yet.
"In a few minutes," Justin said as he, too, started to swing a bit.
Nick swang for a little bit until he glanced over at the parking lot and his eyes went wide. "Justin...day here me tink," he said pointing over at the black van that was pulling into the parking lot.
Justin looked over and saw the van Nick was pointing at. His heart started pounding. "I think you're right," he said as he stopped swinging, stood up, and walked over to the blanket.
Kevin was the first one out of the van and was talking to Howie who was following right behind him. He was obviously very confused as to why they were being brought to the park instead of back to the hotel.
Brian scratched his head as he got out of the car and he walked over to the front to talk to the driver only to get confused when he just shrugged his shoulders, backed up, and drove away. "Well, that was helpful," he said to no one in particular before walking over to where Howie, Kevin, and AJ were... looking around, lost.
Justin quickly lit the candles before walking over to the gate and opening it. "Hey guys," he greeted before blushing. "Um, surprise?"
AJ's eyes went wide and rushed over to Justin. "You did this?" he asked with a huge smile on his face as all the guys noticed the dinner and picnic for the first time.
"Me help!" Nick said with a pout on his face as he walked over to the group. He wanted some sort of credit here.
Justin nodded his head. "Yup, Nick and I did this," he said as he put his arm around Nick's shoulder. "We thought since you guys have been having a really stressful time... and since you guys didn't get to enjoy the park in Seattle... why not have a dinner... picnic thing tonight. Kinda make up for everything..." He looked at each of them. He was nervous.
AJ leaned in and gave Justin a soft kiss on the lips before pulling away. "You're awesome baby...thanks for doing this."
Kevin nodded his head in agreement as everybody took a seat around the blanket. "Yeah really this is great Justin." He opened up one of his containers and moaned. "Ohh Olive Garden..." he said actually sounding like he was in pleasure over it.
Justin chuckled as he took his seat between AJ and Nick. "Um, they're all chicken dishes... thank Nick for that. I got 2 alfredo's and parmigiana's. And one of giardino and scampi... so help yourselves to whatever you want," he chuckled.
Brian and Howie's mouths watered as they opened the lids of their dishes. "Oh man, I haven't this in ages," Brian said as he inhaled the sweet aroma of his chicken scampi.
"You're telling me," Howie said. "Chicken Parmigiana, my favorite. Thanks man, your the best."
"Where mine?" Nick asked, knowing he had asked for the alfredo one.
AJ sat down next to Justin and opened up his own dish and started eating it right away. He was starving...he never knew it but going around with your dick in more then a semi hard state for close to five hours actually used a lot of energy for some odd reason.
Justin chuckled as he looked at all the guys. He opened the last two dishes and smiled. "And our two favorites haven't been touched at all," he said as he brought Nick's dish over to him and his to himself. "Bon appetite."
Nick wiggled closer to Brian, wanting to snuggle with his daddy a little since hadn't seen him since that morning. "Justin say you tell Spiderman to get bad daddy."
Brian's fork stopped halfway to his mouth. What? He looked up at Justin with a confused look on his face.
Justin shrugged sheepishly. "Um yah. He was coloring in his Spiderman book and said that since Spiderman gets bad guys that he would get bad daddy. I told him I'll tell you since you guys kinda have connections and all." Justin looked down at his food.
AJ giggled a little but decided that they should all play along with Justin. "Ohhh, Bri that's a good idea, don't you think? We might get a chance to talk to that person who knows him soon right?" he asked thinking maybe if the boy thought Spiderman was helping get bad daddy that he might forget about him and feel safe again.
Kevin caught on to what AJ was doing and nodded his head as he chewed his food. "I think we might be talking to that guy in the next few weeks...We'll have to remember to put a word in for our Nicky."
"Yup," Howie said not really knowing what else to say. "That guy... put in a good word for Nick."
Brian chuckled. Was he going to have to get someone to dress up like Spiderman to tell Nick that bad daddy was taken care of? "Yeah, in a few weeks we're going to be talking to this guy we know who knows Spiderman."
Nick smiled excitedly, he didn't really care to see Spiderman, he just wanted bad daddy gone. "Bad daddy be gone," he said bouncing in his seat. It's sad that a two year old was more excited about his evil father being taken care of then eating quickly so he could go play at the playground like most kids would.
AJ reached over and rested his left hand on Justin's thigh as he continued to eat his food. He just needed to touch his boyfriend in some way or another. He was still so grateful they were still together after what had happened the day before and that morning.
Justin smiled as he continued to eat his dinner. He ended up linking his hand with AJ's hand and holding on tight.
They all pretty much spent the next few minutes eating in silence, relishing in the quietness and watching as the sun slowly started to set.
Nick was finished with his dinner but he still hadn't touched his coke for some odd reason that they were actually letting him have. It wasn't that he didn't want to drink it because he loved coke since he didn't get it too much...but he was just scared to.
Kevin put his fork down and groaned as he leaned back on his hands looking up at the quickly darkening sky. "I don't want to leave here...but we only have like twenty minutes till we gotta leave for the show."
Howie sighed as he drank his sprite. "I know... Now, I'm too lazy to want to do anything."
Brian shook his head as he wiped his mouth with the napkin and drank his water. "I'm full. This was so good." He looked over at Nick and saw that his coke bottle was still untouched. "Drink up before you get dehydrated or something," he said.
"Me not tirsty," Nick mumbled as he passed the coke bottle to Brian.
AJ looked at Justin thinking Nick's behavior was rather weird.
Justin frowned as he looked over at Nick. He then remembered that Nick didn't want to bring his bottles with him. He thought about it a little more trying to come up with some kind of connections between the events from today and Nick's behavior. "I think he doesn't want anything to drink because he thinks he'll go in his diaper again..." Justin trailed off. He got up and started to pick up the guy's dishes to put it back in the basket.
"Awe, the poor little guy." AJ said with a smile as he looked over and saw Nick still eyeing his coke.
Kevin stood up and stretched before helping Justin pick up the dishes. "Thanks again Justin for the dinner this was great."
Brian looked at Nick and then picked up the coke bottle. "Oh come on," he said opening it up and passing it to Nick. "You have to drink some thing before you start feeling really thirsty and you wont have this coke bottle anymore... don't worry if you gotta go to the bathroom.. just let Justin know or if we're there... let one of us know."
Justin smiled at Kevin. "You're welcome and thanks," he said opening the basket so Kevin could place the rest of the dishes inside. "Um, for the next 20 or so minutes... this park is private... and all for you guys."
"Oooo," Howie said and looked over at Kevin.
"Awesome," Brian said as he looked over at Nick. "Hey you wanna go walk around or go play on the swings with me?"
Kevin gave Howie a fake scared look, not sure why the younger man was looking at him like that. "Uh oh...what is that look for?"
Nick took the coke from Brian and took a deep breath before he drank down almost half the bottle in one gulp before burping really loud, giggling. "Scooze me." He giggled more.
Brian laughed and grabbed Nick's hand and pulled him up. "Come on," he said.
Howie smiled at Kevin. "Well, we've never really been in a park where we could just walk around and hold hands... ya know..." He said trailing off.
Kevin smiled as he automatically took Howie's hand and with a wave to the rest of the guys the two of them started walking down a path that led around the private area of the park.
Nick giggled as he ran with Brian over to the swings leaving Justin and AJ at the blanket.
"So...this is what you and Nick did all day?" AJ asked as he rested back on his elbows on the blanket.
Justin sat down next to AJ and looked down at him. "Not really," he said. "How was your day?"
"It was good....a lot better then yesterday that's for sure." AJ said smiling a little. "Then again I think any day would be better then yesterday."
"Yah..." Justin said wrinkling his nose. "Yesterday was a day from hell."
"But now everything is good," AJ said as he reached over and took a hold of Justin's hand again. "I'm so glad we worked everything out, I hated when things were bad between us."
"I'm sorry," Justin said as he held AJ's hand. "I hate things being bad between us too."
"It's just as much my fault as yours." AJ reassured Justin as he turned his head and laughed when he saw Brian and Nick running around the swing set and then jumping so they were swinging on their stomachs. "Sometimes those two act like they are still the same as they used to be."
Justin looked over too and laughed along with AJ. "Well, Nick didn't really change much... personality wise," he pointed out. "Sometimes when he says something or acts a certain way... it's like he's normal again... that could give a guy a complex or something."
"Yeah until he starts calling Brian daddy all the time." AJ said with a laugh. "Those two were kinky but not THAT kinky."
Justin laughed. "How do you know?" He questioned, playfully poking AJ's in his stomach. He shifted so that he was lying on his stomach, his hands propped up so his chin could rest on it.
"Well I don't really...but they didn't really seem the type," AJ said and then groaned when he looked over and saw Howie and Kevin doing something he really didn't care to see. "Okay don't look to your left." he warned. It wasn't that they were having sex or something but they were totally making out by one of the tress to their left and it looked like if they had more time and were maybe a little more alone they would be with the way the kiss was heating up.
Justin was tempted to look to his left and so, he did. He couldn't help it. When someone tells him not to look, of course he's going to look. "Awww," Justin said as he watched Howie and Kevin. "Those two are really cute."
AJ made a playfully disgusted face but then smiled big and nodded his head. "They are...I mean they have had some bumpy times in the last few years but looking at them now you wouldn't know it."
Justin nodded his head as he looked back over at AJ. "Yah, Kevin was telling me about it this morning," he said.
"Kevin hadn't been totally faithful to Howie a year into their relationship. They actually broke up for a few weeks before they actually sat down and talked things out." AJ said shaking his head. He knew Kevin wouldn't mind him telling Justin this.
Justin was shocked. He didn't know THAT. "He what!?" Justin questioned with wide eyes.
"Yeah it's when we were overseas still I think we were in London or some place like that and Howie walked in on Kevin and some chick heavily kissing on the couch of THEIR hotel room. I mean they were still totally clothed and everything...but still." AJ said shaking his head. "I know it's shocking...I mean Kevin doing something like that."
Justin scratched his head and looked over at Kevin and Howie still kissing. AJ was right, you couldn't tell that they had any of those problems. "Well, as long as they settled everything and are now happy with each other... it's all good."
AJ nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah they've been perfectly fine since, but I'm sure it's still in the back of both their minds. Howie once told me that it would almost have been better if it had been a guy that Kevin was kissing...because he said the first thing that actually popped into his head was that Kevin wasn't happy with him anymore because he wanted a woman...and that was something that Howie could never change about himself to please Kevin ya know."
"Wow," Justin said. "That kinda sucks..." But when Justin really thought about it, about himself... the only guy he'd ever really thought of being with was Nick except for that it had always been girls. But lately, he's not only learning how to venture out with other guys... but he's learning more about himself... about how he likes being with guys rather than girls.
"But anyways...enough about those two...why don't you tell me what made you think about doing this whole thing?" AJ asked as he gestured to the picnic blanket and basket to help make his point.
Justin shrugged. "I don't know... I just, well," he said scratching his head. "I just missed you when I was at the park yesterday and I was thinking how awesome it would be if you could have been there... if we could just sit and relax under the sun or watch the sun set or something." Justin laughed. "God, I'm turning into a girl..."
AJ playfully looked Justin up and down, "I don't think so...you still look all man to me...but then again it's kinda hard to totally tell with all the clothes on." He said with a smirk.
"Ha ha," Justin said sarcastically before chuckling and crawling a little up so he could give a simple kiss on AJ's lips. "But yah, and also... cause you guys looked like you could have used something like this..."
AJ looked at Nick and Brian who were still busy swinging and looking like they were having the time of their lives. He then looked back at Howie and Kevin who were now just holding each other sitting under the tree. "I think you definitely were on the right track. We totally needed this and it's been wonderful, thank you baby." He said as he leaned into press his own simple kiss to Justin's lips.
Justin smiled. "Well, I'm glad," he said when he pulled back from the kiss. "Just when is the concert going to end?"
Remembering the concert made AJ curse and look down at his watch...they should have left five minutes ago. "Shit...GUYS!" he yelled standing up. He then smiled apologetically to Justin. "We should be back at the hotel by around eleven if not sooner."
Kevin heard AJ call and then groaned knowing what he was saying. "Come on honey we've gotta get going." he said to Howie as they headed back towards Justin and AJ.
Justin was a bit startled at AJ's outburst but he was standing up in a flash. He watched as Nick, Brian, Kevin, and Howie started making their way back to where they were.
"I don't wanna go," Brian said, whining and then stomping his feet as he lazily half walked and half dragged himself to where the guys were. "Tell them I'm sick or something." He joked.
Howie laughed and then sighed. "Only if we could..."
"Me no wana go either," Nick said as he mimicked Brian's stomping and dragging feet. "Me sick," he then pretended to cough.
AJ laughed and shook his head at Brian and Nick. "Come on dudes we're already late." With that Kevin, AJ, Brian and Howie headed to the van leaving Nick and Justin to get back to the hotel on their own.
Justin watched and waved as the guys got into their van and drove off. "Well, buddy," he said looking at Nick who was under his arm. "I guess it's just me and you now for four more hours."
"We do AJ's supize now?" Nick asked excitedly. He was looking forward to this part even though he didn't really know what it meant.
"In another two hours," Justin said as he walked over to the blanket and started folding it. "You wanna drive around the city or something?"
Nick shrugged his shoulders, he didn't really care what they did.
"Movies? You wanna go to the movies?" Justin questioned. He remembered that there was a movie theater near by and they were showing 'A Bug's Life' around that time.
"Ohh yeah!" Nick exclaimed as he bounced up and down. "We get poppycorn."
"Yup," Justin said as he finished with the blanket and picked up the basket. "Come on, let's get back to our car." With that Justin and Nick walked out of the park and thanked the guard before walking over to their car. Justin placed his things in the trunk before helping Nick into his seat.
Nick held onto his soda bottle that he had saved and sipped it while he waited for Justin to get himself settled in his seat and start driving. He then went about singing a little song to himself and Joe in between sips, obviously not worried about drinking too much anymore.
Justin got into the drivers seat and picked up the map pamphlet and looked at the directions to the movie theater. "Oh, it's two blocks down from here," he said, noticing it on the map. "And they have a parking lot, awesome." He put the book down and started the car. Not more than seven minutes later did they find a parking spot on the first floor and were in the theater looking at the movies that were playing at 7:30 P.M.
Nick was too busy thinking about the popcorn, candy and pop to care about the movies. "Me want dat...me want dat!" he said pointing at the big popcorn machine.
Justin laughed. "Alrighty," he said. "Let's get the tickets first and then we'll get the popcorn." He walked to the ticket counter and asked for two tickets to 'A Bug's Life.' Once he'd paid for them they entered and headed for the refreshments counter.
Nick bounced up and down when the guy behind the counter got their extra large popcorn for them. "Me get does too?" he asked pointing at the raisonets.
Justin nodded his head. "Can I also get the rasinets," he asked and paid him for the popcorn and the box of chocolate covered raisins.
Nick smiled big as the guy handed him his candy box. "Me tirsty too." he said even though he had just drank his whole bottle of pop.
Justin raised his eye brow but kept his mouth shut. "Sorry, but can I also have a large coke?" He asked the guy and diverted his gaze when he gave them a weird look.
Nick once again smiled as he shook his box of candy to some little tune as he waited for Justin to be done so they could go into their movie.
When the guy finally got him the drink he paid him and escorted himself and Nick to their theater and once inside the dark room he escorted them towards the middle.
Nick acted a little freaked of the dark at first but as soon as they were seated and he was happily eating his raisons and popcorn he was a happy camper.
Justin was glad to see that they were just in time for the movie as well as that there weren't many people in the theater. He slouched down in his seat and rested his head back and got ready for the movie.
During the middle of the movie some how Nick had gotten a hold of the whole large coke and drank almost the whole thing by himself before putting it back down for Justin to have some. He hadn't really meant to drink it all but he had been so into the movie he hadn't really realized what he had been doing. Plus his chocolate covered raisons were long gone.
Justin wasn't aware of the amount Nick had consumed, he was actually into the movie. At least, not until the movie ended and Justin was feeling a bit thirsty. He reached for the cup and barely took a sip when it started making slurping noises. He frowned and then opened the cap to look inside. There was only ice. "Um..."
Nick looked over at Justin not sure what his 'um' was for." It good movie." he said with a smile as they headed out of the theater with their trash.
"Yah, it was," Justin said and then stopped as they walked by a restroom. "You need to use the bathroom?" He questioned.
Nick shook his head in the negative. "No...me otay." he said which seemed pretty amazing.
"Huh," Justin said, surprised. "Okay, well. It won't take us that long to get back to the hotel, anyways." They walked out to the parking lot and got in before they drove back to the hotel.
By the time Nick got in the car and Justin had just pulled from the curb he REALLY had to go, but it wasn't pee like you would think...or at least not just that. He tried not to let Justin know he had to go though because he knew he should have told Justin the truth while at the theater. He was doing okay until he farted loud enough for Justin to hear and that just made it so he couldn't hold it any more. He quickly started to just play with his toys still trying to act like he wasn't doing anything because he knew he should have said yes when Justin asked him if he had to go.
Justin laughed when he heard Nick fart. "Dude, you wanna head on in to the bathroom? If you can like hold it for one minute," he said ready to open the door and help Nick.
"Me no gots ta go," Nick lied through his teeth...or more like lied through a very strained, obvious sounding voice.
Justin sighed. "Nick," he said as he started the car. "Why do you always lie?"
"Me not," Nick whispered as he looked down at his shoes, wiggling around a little. It was really hard to do what he needed to do while sitting down but he knew he couldn't make it to the bathroom because the second he would stand up things would happen. He had already soaked himself...but he just didn't want Justin to know.
"Sure," Justin said with obvious sarcasm dripping from his voice. They started driving back towards the hotel. Justin turned the radio on wanting to listen to something.
The song on the radio was something Nick recognized so he started to sing along with it until they go to the hotel where he waited for Justin to help him get out of his seat.
As soon as he helped Nick out of his seat and grabbed the things from the trunk as well as Nick's bag they made their way up to his room. Once inside Justin set everything down by the door opting to get rid of the garbage once he'd taken care of Nick. "You wanna get changed now?"
"Me no need to," Nick said being a stubborn little thing as he walked into the room and pulling Joe out of his bag.
Justin sighed. "Nick," he started saying. "You remember how it felt to be itchy, don't you? Well, if you continue wearing that diaper, it's going to get a lot worse!"
Nick just stuck his tongue out at Justin and went about flopping down on the bed and turning on the TV.
Grrrr. "I'm warning you," Justin said as he pulled out his cell phone. Brian had said that he could call him in case of emergencies no matter what he would be doing. Brian had a special line made for Nick and anything pertaining to Nick. "I'm going to call Brian."
"No not," Nick said, not believing that Justin would really call Brian.
Justin raised his eye brow as he pressed '2' on speed dial and called Brian. His cell phone had the loud speaker so he turned that on and the phone ringing could be heard in the other wise quiet room. A few seconds later Brian's out of breath voice could be heard. "Hi, Brian," Justin said. "I know you're in the middle of the concert but Nick-"
Nick's eyes went wide and he glared at Justin as if saying 'don't you dare'.
"But what?" Brian questioned. They were in a five minute break before they start the next set. Justin had called in a good time. "Is Nick being a bad boy?"
Justin looked at Nick that said 'are you going to do as I say?' He turned his attention back to the phone and opened his mouth to speak.
Nick still didn't believe Justin would really do it. He just stuck his tongue out at him again.
Justin blinked a few times before telling Brian, "Nick's being a bad boy. He lied about not wanting to go to the bathroom when I asked him if he had to and then he lied when I asked him if he went in his diapers when I clearly heard him go. AND THEN when we got back to the hotel I asked him-"
Nick just eyed Justin but didn't tell him to stop. He still didn't think Justin would really do it.
Justin took in a deep breath. "I asked him if he wanted to be changed and he said no. I told him that he'd be even more itchy but he just ignored it by sticking his tongue out at me and turning the TV on," he said.
"Why is he doing that?" Brian questioned. "Tell him he's the one that's going to suffer and end up with the itching disease for the rest of his life if he doesn't get changed soon," he said. "I'm not joking."
Justin looked at Nick.
"Nut uh," Nick said shaking his head having heard what Brian had said. He was in a bad mood and being a pain in the butt.
Brian heard Nick's response. "I'm grounding him then," he said. "No playing with the train and no more soda."
Justin again looked at Nick and shook his head, almost in a pitying manner.
Nick's eyes went wide and got up and took the phone from Justin. "Noo..me wana pay with train!" he yelled into the phone...very...very mad at his daddy right now.
"Well, get changed. It'll only take a few minutes, heck, only two minutes if you behave like the good boy I know you are," Brian said in to the phone. "Are you a good boy or a bad boy, Nick?"
"Me good boy...me am," Nick said his anger turning into sadness as tears came to his eyes.
"Then why are you giving Justin a hard time? He's only trying to look out for you... doing what's best for you so that you don't suffer in the end," Brian said, he too, lowering his voice. "It's to help you, Nick."
"Me just no want to." Nick whined as he reached down to scratch himself. He was already beginning to get itchy...not to mention smelly.
"Why not?" Brian questioned. He just got the signal that there was two minutes till they had to be on stage. "It doesn't take THAT long to change you. You'll feel so much better once you've changed."
"Me no know." Nick answered, he really didnt' have a reason why he didn't want to be...he just didn't.
Brian sighed. "I don't want to be the bad guy here, Nick, but you're forcing me to take action and you're not going to like it. I have to get going soon, don't give Justin a hard time, please. Let him change you and you can watch TV all you want. Justin, do you hear me? If Nick doesn't want to change, no TV for him."
"I hear you Brian," Justin said. "And okay."
Nick watched as Justin put his phone away and glared at him a little. "You gets me in trouble...me no ike you," he said with the most evil look on his face he could muster.
"I didn't get you in trouble," Justin said. "You got YOURSELF into trouble. All this could have been avoided only if you had let me change you. Nicky, you could have been changed and happily playing and sitting around by now." He looked at the time and groaned. He really needed to start setting up AJ's surprise.
Nick looked around the room when he remembered something. "We do AJ's supize?" he asked hoping that would keep Justin from remembering to change him.
Justin shook his head. "You are not going to be doing anything till you're changed, mister," he said, his voice stern.
"Me help if me changed?" Nick asked skeptically...thinking he was already in too much trouble for it to do any good.
Justin pretended to think about it. "Only if you change," he said slowly nodding his head. "Yes."
Nick scratched himself as he thought about that. "Otay," he said softly.
"Okay?" Justin questioned, wanting to make sure of Nick's answer.
Nick nodded his head as he climbed off the bed. "Change...me?"
"Very well then," Justin said as he grabbed Nick's bag and began to take the things he'd need out. "Get back on the bed and lie down."
Nick got a confused look on his face when Justin answered him like that. "You no wana?" he asked softly.
Justin frowned. "I do," he said and when Nick did as he had asked he pulled down the pants and boxers and then undid the diaper. He went about the usual steps and about a few minutes later, he was done and Nick was changed and smelling good.
Nick sighed a little looking up at the ceiling. Some place between the park and the movie theater he had decided to give up on the whole potty training thing because it was just too hard.
Justin noticed the sigh. "What's with the sigh? Why you sighing like that?" he questioned as he noticed the way Nick's sighed as if he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. He quickly grabbed all the garbage and added it to the picnic garbage.
"Noting...me otay," Nick said with his best smile as he sat up on the bed.
"Okay," Justin said. "Could you help me by closing all the curtains?" He looked over at Nick. While Nick was doing that Justin got out the candle stands and began setting them up near places where things wont get caught on fire easily, like on the tables.
Once he was finished doing that, Nick walked over to figure out what he should do next. "What me do?" he asked, wanting to do something else to help.
Justin pointed at the candles in the bag. "Take those candles and stick them on these holders," he said and took one candle to show Nick how it's done. When Nick went about doing that Justin spread the bed and made it look neat before walking over to the fridge and taking the flowers out. He contemplated whether or not to just leave them as they are or to scatter petals. He decided a combination of both would be nice. Leave some of them on the floor just as they are, making a path to the bed, while the rest he's use for the petals on top of the bed.
Once Nick was done with that he just stood back and watched Justin get everything ready. It was then he asked a big question. "Dis when does nice?" he asked pointing at the drawer meaning the condoms. "Wit fowers?"
"Huh?" Justin questioned not really understanding just what the flowers and Nick indicating to the condoms meant.
"Make supize...nice...den day good?" Nick asked trying to explain himself again.
Justin thought about it for a few seconds, maybe a minute. Then he finally understood what Nick was asking. "Oh, well, not necessarily. The flowers just make the room look pretty and nice but over all if you want to look at it that way, yes, I suppose," he said as he walked over to the fridge and got out the bars of chocolate before heading over to the microwave heating up the bars in a bowl.
Nick's eyes went wide when he saw the chocolate. "Me wana be AJ!" he giggled wanting all this cool stuff done for him. Even though he would probably have liked toys and chocolate better then flowers but this would be okay too.
Justin chuckled. "Maybe someday some girl or guy would romance you this way," he said, a bit sadly but put a smile on his face. He decided the leave the chocolates inside the oven so it would remain in a liquid phase till AJ arrived. He then grabbed another bowl and placed all the strawberries in it and then cut up Nick's banana into slices and added it to the bowl. He placed that right on the night stand table.
"Why eat fruit in bed?" Nick asked as he watched Justin put the fruit on the night stand instead of the actual table.
"Well," Justin said as he rubbed his hand over his head. "Well, because it's more comfortable on the bed... we could watch TV and eat comfortably. Usually, it's not good to eat on the bed but since AJ's gonna be really tired... I'll make that exception." Justin walked over and ruffled Nick's hair and kissed his cheek. He looked around the room. What else was he forgetting? "What am I missing?"
Nick hopped onto the bed and smiled big. "ME...me wana stay for party too!"
Justin was shaking his head like crazy. "No," he said in a soft voice. "Get off the bed, silly." He then grabbed Nick's arms and escorted them to the chairs in the corner. "It's not exactly a ... party... Nick." Justin took his laptop out and hooked it up to the wall. He started browsing through his music collection.
Nick looked up at Justin with big sad blue eyes. "But me help...me wana come," he said, softly seriously looking close to tears.
"Not tonight, buddy," Justin said looking apologetically at Nick. "We'll do another one like this and um, yah. Some time soon or something. It'll be better. We'll have your stuffed animals, and lots more candy, and your favorite movies and songs..."
"Fowers?" Nick asked as he looked around at the flowers. "Andles?" he asked as he looked at the candles. He was beginning to get very, very jealous again of Justin spending time with anybody else besides him.
"Those too," Justin nodded. "You can have anything you want then." He began to set up the playlist and made sure that it was on loop. Once everything was set he closed his laptop and placed it on the table. He would turn it on seconds before AJ would enter the room.
He looked at the time and saw that the guys would be back in about ten minutes. "Why don't we go and throw all that garbage away?" He got up and walked over to where the picnic basket and blanket and dirty diaper things were.
"Otay," Nick said as he walked with Justin out of the room, his eye on the plastic bag that had his dirty diaper in it and sighed.
Justin grabbed Nick's bag and things before walking out of the room and down the hall to where the garbage disposal door was. As soon as they threw out the garbage they walked their way back, but this time, they walked to Nick and Brian's room.
"When daddy come home?" Nick almost whined, he was missing Brian all of a sudden...but then he remembered the talk on the phone and sighed. He knew he would get talked to about that some more.
"In a few minutes," Justin said as he opened the door to the room and let Nick walk in first. "Why don't you get changed in to your PJ's and be all set for when Brian get's here. "I'll put in a good word for you, I promise."
"Otay," Nick said as he walked to his suitcase and got out his batman PJ's. He did really well putting them on himself besides getting the pants on backwards.
Justin chuckled as he walked over to Nick. "You might wanna put these," he said tugging at Nick's PJ bottoms. "The other way around." Then he heard the guys' laughter in the hall and gasped. "They're here." He quickly walked to the door and opened it. He smiled when all they walked into the room and made themselves comfortable on the beds and chairs. "How was the concert?"
Howie, who was sprawled out in the chair, responded first. "The concert was great... awesome... fantastic. But I'm pooped."
Brian walked over to where Nick was seated and raised his eye brow. "Hey little man," he greeted.
Nick looked up at Brian with guilty blue eyes before whispering, "Hello."
AJ practically bounced into the room all hyped up from the show. "I'm so damn hyper its not even funny!" he laughed.
Kevin groaned as he rested his head on Howie's shoulder. "Make him stop... he's annoying."
Justin chuckled and cleared his throat as he walked over to where Brian was. "He's been a good boy, really," he said smiling at Nick. "He won't do that again and he helped me out A LOT tonight." He squeezed Brian's shoulder and then ruffled Nick's hair. "He's a good big boy."
Howie scrunched his face up in thought. "What happened, anyways?" He questioned. Brian hadn't told them what happened with Nick because they were all in a hurry or busy. Now he was curious.
Brian smiled at Justin's words. "Is that true, Nick?" He questioned squatting down in front of him. "You really helped Justin out and were a good boy?"
Everyone at this point was paying attention to Nick and so Justin took that opportunity to slip out of the room to go back to his. Quickly, he got inside and started to light all the candles, turned the music on, not too loud, just right, and turned the lights off before quickly walking back out and over to Brian's room. He was happy no one had noticed him gone and he pretended to have just gone to the bathroom.
"Yeah me help him do something," Nick said with a smile, he was not going to give AJ's surprise away even though it was at the tip of his tongue.
Kevin yawned and sat up in his chair. "Honey can we just go to bed...I'm so tried." He asked looking at Howie and giving him something that actually kinda looked like puppy dog eyes.
Howie sighed as he nodded his head. He forced himself up and finally stood up. "Alright, we're off to bed. Good night, people," he said walking over to the door and smiled at Justin. "Thanks for dinner, man. That was awesome."
"Night guys," Justin said and closed the door after them.
"I'm so tired," Brian said as he stood up and flopped down on his bed.
"Why is everybody tired and I’m bouncing around?" AJ asked as he actually did literally bounce around the room a little even making Nick look at him funny with tired eyes.
"Me sweepy too," Nick said with a yawn as he crawled onto the bed and snuggled up next to Brian. He wanted to get on his daddies good side again.
Brian chuckled as he held onto Nick. He'd already changed into his PJ's right after the concert and shower. He was ready for bed. "Yah, you guys are welcomed to crash in Nick's bed... if not, make sure the door locks on your way out..." Brian yawned as he closed his eyes.
Justin shook his head smiling. "Those two really are cute," he said as he walked up to them and pulled the sheets over them and then tucked them in. He leaned down and kissed Nick's forehead before turning the lights off. "Let's go," he said to AJ as they walked out of the room.
