Chapter Fourteen: [Portland, Oregon. -- Monday, March 30th.]

Brian groaned as he stretched his body to it's full potential, well, as much as he could considering the amount of room he did have. He opened his eyes and sighed as he settled back in. Parting the curtains he peeked his head out and noticed that no one else seemed to up yet. Quietly and quickly he hopped down from his bed and went over to the bathroom to brush his teeth. When that was done he set out to start making breakfast but then frowned when he noticed that it was 10:30 in the morning. 'Maybe I should make lunch?' Brian thought to himself but then shrugged that idea. 'We'll have lunch a bit later on in the day maybe during a break at rehearsals.' He sighed as he looked around at the small kitchen not really in the mood to cook anything. He walked over and grabbed a box of cereal.

Howie was the next person to wake up, a few minutes after Brian. "Mornin' Bri," he greeted as he spotted his band mate sitting at the table and eating a bowl of cereal. He walked into the bathroom and brushed his teeth before making his way over to Brian happy to see a cup of coffee and two hot pop tarts waiting for him.

AJ smelled the coffee and pop tarts cooking and groaned. He hadn't really eaten much the day before and was starving now. Getting out of his bunk he stretched long and hard before making his way out to the living room/kitchen area of the bus. "Morning," he said in a husky voice from sleep.

Brian and Howie both turned their attention to AJ who just walked in through the curtains. "Morning," Howie greeted around his cup of coffee.

"Morning," Brian greeted as he brought another spoon full of cereal to his mouth. "Pop tarts are ready if you want that. But there's also cereal."

"Thanks," AJ said as he shamelessly scratched himself as he walked to the cupboard to see what kind of cereal he wanted.

Howie shook his head. "No manners these kids."

Brian chuckled. "Should we wake the rest? It looks like we're almost there," he said as he looked out the window next to him.

Howie shook his head. "Nah. They'll probably wake up when they smell the coffee and pop tarts, if not then they probably just want to sleep in."

"Justin slept even later then this yesterday," AJ said around a mouth full of cereal. He was beginning to forget that the guys didn't know about him and Justin. "Nick on the other hand I'm surprised that little dude isn't awake yet."

Howie smirked and raised his eyebrow. "How do you know that Justin slept later than this?"

Brian turned to look at AJ, wondering the same thing.

AJ looked a little confused at first and then laughed. "Oh it’s because he spent the night at my place after the concert on Saturday."

"He did?" Brian questioned, surprised. "Oh."

Just then Justin walked out, his hair messy, his sweatpants riding low on his waist, his hand absent mindedly scratching his stomach, and stood there looking around at everyone before walking into the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth.

AJ swallowed hard, Justin looked beyond sexy when he first woke up in the morning. He then realized that Brian had said something and shook his head to try and clear his mind. "Uhh...yeah he did. I wanted to talk to him and stuff...and we watched a movie," he said hoping the guys wouldn't notice that the huskiness in his voice had gotten worse and it wasn't because he was still half asleep. Wanting to change the subject he turned to Howie. "Where's your boy toy?"

Howie noticed AJ's voice level drop before he had quickly changed the subject. Inwardly he smiled to himself. "KEVIN," he said stressing his name. "He's still sleeping, of course."

"Morning," Brian greeted Justin who took a seat next to Howie. "Cereal?"

Justin nodded his head and sleepily smiled as Brian set a bowl in front of him and filled it with cereal and milk. "Thanks."

It was Kevin's turn to walk out and then right into the bathroom, not even saying anything to any of the guys.

"Guess it's just Nicky who's asleep now," AJ said as he got up to put his bowl in the sink.

"Should we go check on him?" Howie questioned downing the last bit of his coffee to wash down the last bit of his pop tarts.

Brian got and put his empty bowl in the sink as soon as AJ was finished putting his away. "Yah, I'll go." With that he walked through the curtain and squatted down to open the curtain to Nick's bed. He smiled as he saw Nick lying there with the pacifier in his mouth, Fuzzy, tucked under his arm, while his other hand rested on his crotch area. Brian contemplated whether or not he should wake the younger boy up. He looked so peaceful.

Kevin walked out of the bathroom and into the kitchen area, flopping down next to Howie. He was trying to look as normal as he could even though he felt feverish and was sure he was the lucky one to have caught whatever it was Nick had, had. "Morning," he said as he gave Howie and Justin the best smile he could manage.

Feeling somebody sitting beside him, Nick opened his eyes and smiled a little at Brian. "Hewwo," he whispered before he yawned and stretched his body out.

'Okay, so maybe I don't have to wake him up,' Brian said. "Hey Nicky," he greeted with a smile. "Do you want to sleep some more or do you want to wake up now?"

Justin scooted over towards the window so that Kevin could have some place to sit on the other side of Howie. He mumbled a sleepy 'good morning' around his mouthful of spoon.

Howie leaned over and kissed Kevin's cheek before pulling back with a frown. "You're feeling a bit warm to the touch," he said.

"I'm fine," Kevin said, not wanting to admit he wasn't feeling good at all. He hated to admit he was sick especially when they had other things to do and there was no way after last night that they could cancel the show even if he was dying.

"Me get up," Nick said as he sat up and stretched, his pacifier coming out of his mouth as he yawned nice and big. "Me hungy."

"Okay," Brian said as he stood up and helped Nick to his feet. He then escorted them into the bathroom and handed Nick his tooth brush and watched Nick brush his teeth with a smile on his face. After Nick was done he took them to the kitchen table. "Milk?" Brian questioned as he headed over to the fridge.

"Baby," Howie said softly. "You look really tired and your face,” he reached his hand up and felt Kevin’s forehead, “is kinda heating up. Take a Tylenol or Sudafed or something."

"I already did," Kevin said, not wanting to mention the fact that he had just puked it up a few minutes ago. He had felt bad a few hours before everybody had woken up so he had got up and took something...but had just lost it a few minutes ago.

"Want dat," Nick said pointing at the frosted pop tarts that were sitting on the counter. "And milk."

"Hmm," Brian said as he took the bottle of milk out and heated it for a few seconds. When it was ready he walked over to Nick and gave him the bottle and one piece of pop tart.

Nick started to happily eat his breakfast, drinking down the milk at normal Nick speed and then eating the pop tart.

Brian watched as Nick happily ate his breakfast. He wasn't even going to bother to tell Nick to slow down anymore. He then looked over at Justin and noticed he was almost down with his cereal. "You want me to take that?" Brian questioned.

Justin shook his head. "Can I have more please?" He questioned with a pout holding his bowl out for Brian to fill it up with milk and cereal. He was still sleepy and he needed more cereal before he would be fully awake.

All this talk about food wasn't helping Kevin in the least. "Be right back," he mumbled before heading for the bathroom again.

AJ watched Kevin go and then looked at Howie. "Is he okay?"

Howie cringed as he heard the gut wrenching sound of Kevin vomiting in the bathroom. When the noise stopped he looked over at AJ. "I guess that answers your question," Howie said as he got up and walked over to the bathroom. "Honey, we gotta get you to take something for that. It looks like you caught the same thing Nick did."

Brian walked up behind Howie wondering if Kevin was going to be alright.

Nick sat in his seat with big scared eyes; he didn't like it when big people got sick. Tears came to his eyes as he watched Brian and Howie talk to Kevin through the bathroom.

"No, I'm okay..." Kevin called as he flushed the toilet and got up to wash his mouth out. He wasn't going to let himself be sick, he wasn't going to let the whole group down by being sick.

Howie looked worriedly at Kevin. "That did not look nor did it sound fine Kevin." He gave Kevin a 'don't argue with me look.'

"Yea, cuz," Brian said agreeing with Howie. "I think I'm going to go make him some chicken noodle soup, that could help some. It's not good to be on an empty stomach. Howie get him to bed." Brian turned around before they could protest and headed into the kitchen. When he heard whimpering noises he looked over to where Nick was seated with Justin's arm around Nick, comforting the younger man. Brian looked at AJ wondering what the hell was going on.

"Shhh," Justin said in Nick's ear trying to calm the other blonde down. "Kevin's going to be alright. He just probably got the same bug you had the other day. No worries."

"Nick's upset because Kevin's sick," AJ explained giving Brian a smile to show it was nothing major.

"But I feel fine now!" Kevin exclaimed, he hated feeling helpless and scared more then anything and even when he got sick he could be a stubborn ass, even to Howie which didn't happen too often.

"No," Howie said as he grabbed Kevin's arm and pulled him over to his bunk. "Don't argue with me and Brian. Now get in bed." Howie pulled open the curtains to his bunk figuring it would be easier for Kevin to take the middle bunk.

Brian nodded his head as he took out the can of soup and poured it into a pan to heat it up. Once that was done he poured the soup into a bowl and grabbed a spoon before ruffling Nick's hair and heading over to the bunk area. "Here," Brian said handing the bowl over to Howie.

Howie smiled his thanks and gave the bowl to Kevin.

Kevin sighed as he took the soup and started to eat it slowly. Finally letting his guard down a little bit he looked over at Howie with sad, sick eyes.

"Kevin throwed up." Nick said making a face, he remembered how that felt and he didn't like that one bit.

AJ giggled a little at how that sounded. "Yeah he did, but like you he'll get better really soon and he won't do that anymore."

"Yah," Justin said as he held Nick in his arms. "He’ll feel better soon."

Howie softened his features at the look Kevin gave him. "It's okay, we're here. You'll be feeling better before you know it."

Brian cleared his throat and smiled. "Yeah, don't worry. If you listen to us and let us take care of you I'm sure you'll be fine before tonight's show." Brian nodded at Howie before heading back out to the kitchen.

"I hope so," Kevin said with a sigh as he handed the half eaten bowl of soup over to Howie. He didn't trust his stomach enough to eat any more then that right now. He then lied his head down on his pillow. "I'm sorry," he whispered to Howie, he felt like a failure for getting sick and he only hoped things got better because he HAD to do the concert even if he was throwing up on stage.

"When we get off bus?" Nick asked as he got out of the booth and headed over to the bathroom looking inside as if trying to make sure nothing really weird had happened to Kevin while he had been in there.

Justin got up with Nick but went over to put his empty bowl in the sink before joining Nick in the bathroom. "What are you looking for? And no, we don’t get off for a while but I think we should almost be there, though."

Brian walked back to the kitchen and looked around before noticing that Justin and Nick were in the bathroom talking. He sat down across from AJ with a sigh.

"Tinky," Nick said plugging his noise, but for some reason didn't turn to leave the bathroom. He was beginning to over come his fear of bathrooms and now becoming quit fascinated with them, especially this really, really little one.

"You feeling okay Rok?" AJ asked, looking at Brian with worry on his face. He didn't like it when people when were like that around him, especially after two members of the group had already been sick.

"Yeah," Brian said as he rubbed his face with his hands. "I'm just worried about Kevin and what Lou would say. He's going to be meeting us at the arena for the rehearsals. I don't know what to do, I just pray Kevin gets better by then otherwise we're gonna have to get Justin to get Nick out of there."

Justin looked at Nick carefully before reaching over and turned on a switch that aired out the bathroom so the smell would go away. He remained quiet as Nick looked around at the small bathroom wondering just what Nick would do next or say.

It was AJ's turn to sigh; he knew Brian had a reason to be worried. "I know, but we have to try to act calm I mean I know Kevin already feels terrible for being sick and it's not even his fault. I mean it's obvious since he had tried to hide it from us.

Nick continued to look around the bathroom his eyes stopping as he looked at the toilet. He was still scared, but not as much as he had been before.

"I know," Brian said. "That's another thing I'm worried about. We should like give Kevin a break now and then, he shouldn't have to always be looking out for us, we should do some looking out for him too."

"Do you need to go potty?" Justin questioned as he noticed Nick eyeing the toilet.

Nick shook his head in the negative he had already gone a few minutes ago. "No, me no gotta go," he said with a smile as he turned to walk out of the room. He wasn't as scared of the toilet or the bathroom anymore but he was still a normal two year old who at this point in time found it a bit of a hassle to worry about going to the potty, plus he didn't really know enough about it to even think about it.

Justin sighed and figured that Nick had already went in his diapers. Walking back over to the kitchen he whispered in Brian's ear. "He might need a changing." Then he took a seat next to AJ and rested his head on his arms that were folded on the table. He was still a bit sleepy for some reason which was unlike for him especially after eating two bowls of cereal.

Brian nodded his head as he scooted over so that Nick could sit next to him. "You okay?" Brian questioned as he looked at Nick and wondering if Nick was okay with Kevin being sick.

Nick nodded his head, "Yeah me otay but batoom tinky," he said as if Brian really needed to know that little bit of information. "Me not tinky dough."

AJ giggled a little at how Nick said that and then he looked at Justin, sitting down next to him. "You feeling okay?" he asked softly knowing after two bowls of cereal Justin was normally hyper, especially sugar cereal.

Brian chuckled. "Yah, but Kevin was sick in there. Give it a few more minutes and it won’t stink." He then put his arm around Nick and ruffled his hair before kissing his cheek. "You're so adorable, you know that."

Justin turned his head to the side and looked at AJ. "Yah, I'm fine. Just tired I guess," he said as he nudged AJ's shoulder with his own and scooting a bit closer to the older man. It was the first time since he'd woken up that he'd talked to AJ and he wanted to be as close to him as possible without giving away their relationship to the others.

"I think we should tell Brian," AJ whispered to Justin once he knew Brian was busy with his own conversation about Nick and how cute he was.

Nick giggled and nodded his head. "Me willy, willy cute." he said smiling big, already having the 'carter' smile down pact.

Brian laughed. "Uh oh," he said playfully smacking his forehead. "I've just gone and fed his ego." Brian shook his head.

Justin was awake now and he lifted his head to look AJ in the eyes. "You sure?" He questioned looking at Brian and then back to AJ. It's not that he didn't want to tell anyone, it was just that he was scared of their reactions, especially Brian's. "Can't we just tell Howie and Kevin?" He whispered out.

AJ smiled and shook his head in the negative. "We gotta, or we're going to spend the whole next few months hiding while being so close together...I don’t know if I can do that."

"Me go check on Kevin," Nick said as he got up and headed into the back of the bus wanting to check on Kevin, leaving Brian alone with AJ and Justin.

Brian nodded his head and watched as Nick walked to the bunk area before turning his attention over to AJ and Justin.

Justin couldn't help but feel like everything was being set up so that he and AJ had the perfect moment to tell Brian. He looked over and Brian and smiled a small smile before looking over at AJ with a 'you go first' look.

AJ took a deep breath, "Hey Bri can we talk to you for a minute?" he asked hoping that Brian didn't decide to go after Nick.

Brian raised his eyebrow and nodded his head. 'Why did Justin look like he was gonna throw up?' He though to himself. "Yea, sure. What's up?" He looked between AJ and Justin. This scene/situation looked awfully familiar.

"You know how you guys thought it seemed a little odd that Justin stayed the night at my house the other night...well nothing really happened but we kinda found out we have feelings for each other," AJ said, biting his lower lip praying he knew his friends as well as he thought he did and that Brian would be happy for them. 'Please let him be cool with this,' he silently prayed.

Brian stayed quiet for a few seconds letting what AJ said sink in. He was happy that Justin liked AJ that meant that Justin wouldn't always be around Nick. Though Brian knew that Justin would have to be around Nick but with this new bit of information he felt happy. "So does that mean you two are... boyfriends?" Brian questioned wanting to make sure that that was what they were trying to tell him.

Justin looked over at AJ before looking back over at Brian. He nodded his head slowly not sure what to make out from Brian's emotionless face and tone.

AJ also nodded his head, "Please don't be pissed...I promise we'll be careful just like you and Nick were and how Kevin and Howie are," he had no idea why he felt like he should defend himself to Brian but he did.

Brian shook his head before letting a smile form on his face. "No, no, no," Brian said. "I'm not pissed. I'm just, I didn't expect that but I have no doubt in my mind that the two of you will be careful." Brian then paused before pouting. "Now everyone has someone and I don't.. well, you know what I mean."

Justin was relieved that Brian took it well but then frowned when Brian said the latter comment. He looked at AJ from the corner of his eyes wondering just how he would respond to that. He felt his stomach drop and his heart ache a little at the idea that AJ would dump him right there and then and go over to Brian knowing just how much the older man liked the other man.

"That's probably because God knows you can't handle anybody else right now, Bri," AJ said gently knowing that sure Brian probably felt lonely but he wasn't ready for another relationship less then two weeks since he lost his boyfriend.

"I know, I know," Brian said as the smile came back on his face. "I was just messing with ya'll. I'm happy for yo-" Brian was cut off at Nick's outburst and turned around to see Kevin run in to the bathroom and Nick run and slid in next to him.

Nick came running back into the room quickly and then Kevin was running right behind him, but he ran into the bathroom while Nick ran to where everybody else was. "Kevin gunna throwed up on me!" He shrieked.

Howie ran out behind Kevin and stopped by the bathroom running soothing motions on Kevin's back as he vomited into the toilet.

Justin turned his worried his eyes to Brian from where he was watching Howie comfort Kevin.

Brian sighed as he asked Nick to get up so that he could go over and check on Kevin.

Nick moved and then sat back down watching with worried eyes but he didn't look scared to death this time.

AJ wrapped his arm around Justin, holding him close as they both watched, hoping and praying that things were going to be okay for that night.

Kevin groaned as he heaved into the toilet again, this time it didn't seem to want to stop. "Gawd," he groaned as he tried to catch his breath.

Howie continued to run soothing circles on Kevin's back feeling sorry for his lover. "Just let it all out," he said in a comforting tone.

Brian walked up behind Howie and peered inside. "You want me to call our doctor and have him meet us at the arena?"

Justin rested his head on AJ's shoulder wondering what would happen if Kevin didn't get better for that night. Then he shuddered as a picture of Lou yelling at the Boys popped into his mind. No. Kevin was definitely going to get better. He had to remain optimistic.

"No...doctor," Kevin managed to say as he finally rested his head down on the toilet seat just trying to get the energy to move even a little more then that.

Nick thought of something and stood up. Walking to the fridge he opened it and looked inside. Finding a can that looked a lot like 7-up he picked it up, remembering it had helped him, not knowing Kevin had managed to get the flu a lot harder then he had. He then carried it over to the bathroom. He stood there with even bigger eyes as he saw the normally strong Kevin looking so sad. "Here go," he said holding the can out to whoever was going to take it.

Howie turned his head to look at Brian as he mouthed out 'call the doctor' before turning his attention back to Kevin only to turn back around when he heard Nick's voice. He smiled as he stepped aside and let Nick give Kevin the can of soda.

Brian nodded and walked over to get his cell phone and dialed their doctor.

Kevin took the soda can with shaky hands and managed a smile before he attempted to get up off the ground.

Nick moved out of the way, not wanting to get attacked by Kevin like he almost had earlier when Kevin had, had to rush to the bathroom.

"You're calling the doc?" AJ whispered to Brian when he saw him come out and grab his phone.

Brian nodded his head and waited for the doc to answer.

Howie supported Kevin as he leaned on him and escorted them back to his bunk. "Thanks Nicky," Howie said to Nick as he managed to ruffle his hair.

Nick walked back out to the living area and sighed as he went to look out the window. He wanted to get off of the bus and was getting antsy with everything being kind weird. "Me wana get out of bus," he said sort of softly as he looked out at the passing country side.

Justin heard Nick's soft voice before he got up and walked over to where Nick was seated. "Hey buddy," he said as he put his arm around Nick and looked out at the passing scenery. "In a little bit, we're almost there. You don't like the bus?"

"Me ike bus...but me no ike Kevin being sick," Nick whispered with a sigh as he looked at Justin.

"We all get sick Nick," Justin said. "It's natural for us to get sick from time to time. I'm sure Kevin will be feeling better soon." Justin didn't know if he was trying to ease Nick's mind or his own.

AJ noticed Brian get off the phone and wondered what was up. "What did he say?"

Brian flipped his phone shut. "He said he'd call the one of the nearby hospitals and have one of their nurses come by and check on Kevin."

Kevin looked at Howie, looking worse then he had before. He was beginning to get more and more worried that he wouldn’t' be able to do the show that night and he didn't want to let his love and the rest of the guys down.

Howie looked at Kevin and got the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach at just how sick Kevin looked. Kevin wouldn't be able to get better by the time for the concert. "Close your eyes Kev, just relax and sleep."

Kevin closed his eyes as two tears came falling down his cheeks. He felt like he had failed everybody and he hated that.

Howie sighed as he saw the tears fall down. He reached his hand over and wiped the tears away before lightly kissing him on the lips. "Baby, please don't worry about it. I know you're feeling like you've failed but you haven't. You're human and it's okay for you to get sick."

AJ nodded his head and sighed. "You think we should plan to have Justin and Nick go shopping once we get there?" he asked, knowing with how things looked right now things were going to go down when Lou met up with them.

Brian looked over to where Justin and Nick were quietly talking amongst themselves. "I have to. I don't want either of them to be there while Lou blows off at us. Heck, I don't think Kevin should be there either. He's probably feeling like shit and blaming himself and he doesn't need to get lashed out by Lou, too."

AJ nodded his head, having a good feeling that is what Kevin was doing. "He is way too hard on himself sometimes," he said with a sigh.

Brian nodded his head. "I hate seeing him like this," Brian said.

Nick was quiet for a second until he looked at Justin before saying something really shocking. "Justin me need change." He was wet from the whole night and his bottle earlier and it was beginning to annoy him and hurt him a little.

Justin smiled a bit. "You want me to change you or would you rather have Brian do it?" Justin questioned looking Nick in the eyes.

Nick shrugged his shoulders he didn't care who did it as long as somebody did.

Kevin finally fell asleep with the way Howie was stroking his cheek and stuff. But it was one of those fitful sleeps that you have when you’re sick since your body doesn’t feel like it can relax.

Howie sat down and continued to watch Kevin sleep, not wanting to leave Kevin alone.

Justin got up and walked over to Brian, Nick following him. "Hey Brian," Justin said. "Nick wants to be changed, do you want to do it or do you want me to do it?"

Brian looked up at Justin, shock evident on his face. "Um, I can do it if you want." Brian shrugged.

Nick looked back and forth between Brian and Justin as he held onto his crotch, trying to get comfortable while they figured things out.

AJ laughed at the situation. "I think Nick is waiting for you guys to figure out who is going to do it."

Brian laughed. "Sorry," he said. "I'll do it." With that Brian got up and grabbed Nick's bag as he walked over towards the front of the bus so he could change Nick.

Justin nodded his head and sat down beside AJ. "Today is definitely an interesting day."

"What about THAT was interesting?" AJ asked as his eyes followed Nick and Brian heading to the front of the bus.

Nick followed after Brian humming a little song to himself.

"Nick actually told me he needed a changing," Justin shrugged his eyes wide. "Nick never admitted that before!"

AJ giggled, "He's growing up maybe...or he was really, really wet?"

Justin thought about that for a second. "Well, he hasn't been changed since last night but he hadn't drank or eaten that much. So, I'm guessing he wasn't all that wet but still that's a step up. AND I saw him looking at the toilet before. He was like looking around the bathroom and usually his eyes would be wide with fear but today it was like he was… curious."

AJ giggled a smile on his face. "It's actually really cute," He said as he leaned in to give Justin a soft kiss on the mouth, he had wanted to do that ALL morning.

Justin was about to pull back seeing that Nick and Brian were right over THERE but he remembered that Brian knew and was cool with it so he kissed AJ right back. "Hmm," Justin said when AJ pulled back. "Good morning."

"Good morning," AJ said with a big smile on his face.

Nick lied down on the floor when Brian told him to a big smile on his face, one that wasn't normally there when being changed.

"You're happy," Brian noticed as he removed the dirty diaper and began to clean Nick's up. In the process he observed that the rash was beginning to slowly disappear. He applied more of the rash powder before putting Nick in a new diaper. "You're all set," Brian said as he tickled the bottom of Nick's chin.

Nick giggled even more but his giggles quickly went away when he heard Kevin running back into the bathroom again. This time he shut the door and it wasn't because he was throwing up...but he was still sick. "Kevin still sick?" he asked looking at Brian.

Brian turned around and looked at the closed bathroom door. "I guess so," he said getting up and walking over to the bathroom door, meeting Howie there. "What's going on?" Brian questioned Howie.

Justin and AJ pulled back the second Kevin ran past them and into the bathroom, scared at the sudden slamming of the bathroom door.

Howie shook his head not really knowing what was going on with Kevin. "He was just sleeping there and then BAM he got up and ran out." Howie looked at the door with worry.

"Are we almost there?" Justin questioned quietly AJ. "Kevin really needs to see a doctor."

"Maybe he just gotta go potty?" Nick said giving his two cents worth.

"Nick's probably got the right idea," AJ said making a face knowing that wasn't exactly the case.

Brian nodded his head. "Maybe," he said as he knocked on the door. "Hey Kev, you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm okay..." Came Kevin's weak voice. He was through the pukey part of what Nick had but on to the other problems Nick had, had.

Howie chuckled. He got the feeling he knew what Kevin might be doing. "You remember what happened after Nicky puked?" Howie questioned grabbing Brian and moving away from the door and going over to sit across from AJ and Justin.

Brian thought about that for a second. "Um, he had a stomach ache..." Brian trailed off as his eyes widened. "Oh."

Justin looked between Howie and Brian and then at AJ before shrugging his shoulders.

Nick understood what everybody was saying and made a face. "Kevin go poopy lots," he said not realizing that probably wasn't something he should have said.

AJ looked out the window and groaned a little when he realized they were actually on the freeway heading into the City. The sky scrapers could be seen coming around the bend. "We're here..."

Brian, too, looked out the window and noticed the scenery before sighing. He felt a hand on his shoulder and he looked over to his left to see brown concerned eyes looking at him.

"Are you okay?" Howie questioned wondering why Brian looked like he hadn't slept in ages.

"Yah, I'm fine," Brian said with a smile. "Come on Nick, let's get you out of your PJ's." Brian grabbed Nick's hand and walked them into the bunk area.

Howie turned his attention back towards AJ and Justin. "So, what's up guys?"

"We're dating," AJ just said because he figured Howie already knew as much from what he had witnessed the last day or so.

Howie nodded his head. That wasn't exactly what he was asking but okay. "How did that happen?" Howie asked chuckling. "Does Brian know?"

AJ laughed too and nodded his head. "Yeah we told him a little bit ago."

"That's awesome," Howie said smiling at the both of them before turning his head to look at the bathroom door, with a worried look on his face. "Do we have any Imodium or something?"

AJ shook his head in the negative. "I didn't bring anything like that."

"We should go shopping for medical needs," Howie said with a thoughtful look on his face. "We need to stock up on that."

Nick opened his bag and smiled big when he saw a cool pair of dark blue baby jeans. "Me wear dis?"

"Anything you want," Brian said as he walked over to his own suitcase and looked through it for something to wear for rehearsals. "You and Justin are going to go sight-seeing or something like that. How do you like that?"

"Sound good," Nick said as he got a red t-shirt out along with a dark gray Nike sweatshirt. He then sat down on his bunk and put each leg into the right leg hole and stood up pulling up his pants just like a big boy. "Brian look!" he said so proud of himself.

Brian looked over at what Nick was so happy about and beamed. "Ooo, you're growing up so fast," he said as he walked over to where Nick was and pinched his cheeks playfully and ruffled his hair. "Awesome, job."

"Help?" Nick asked as he tried like ten times to get them zipped and buttoned.

Brian looked down at Nick and helped Nick zip the jeans up and button it. "There you go," he said as he went over and removed his PJ shirt and wore a regular plain white t-shirt. Then he quickly took his PJ pants off and wore a pair of navy blue sweatpants.

Nick looked at Brian as he dressed his eyes falling on his boxers. "Me want does," he said talking about how he wanted boxers too.

Brian looked down at his boxers and smiled. "You will once you've learned how to go potty," Brian said.

Nick was totally confused now. He thought he already knew how to go potty. "Me know how."

Brian shook his head. "No I mean you need to learn how to use the bathroom and not go in your diapers."

Kevin opened the door and walked out finally, turning to look at all the guys looking in his direction and blushed. He would have loved to be at least in a hotel room so that way only Howie would have to see something. Sure the other guys were like family too but there is only so much you care to share with even your best friends.

Howie looked over at Kevin. "You feeling better now?"

Kevin sighed and shook his head in the negative. "I feel like there is an elephant sitting on my intestines," he said making a face, he didn't really have anything to hide from anybody anymore after that day so he didn't care what he said.

"Damn," Justin said giving Kevin a sympathetic smile. "As soon as we get down we'll get you something for that."

Howie nodded his head. "Yah," he said. "You're staying in bed. No and's, if's, or but's about it."

"I was in bed," Kevin pointed out as they headed back towards the bunks. "But at least when we stop we can get stuff and I'll be fine for tonight," he said showing even though all that he had done that day he was still thinking about going on stage that night.

"No," Howie said firmly. "I don't want you having to be worried about tonight's concert. "The fans will understand so relax." Howie walked Kevin over to his bunk and waited till he was settled in.

"I'm not worried about the fans," Kevin mumbled as he snuggled down into bed.

Nick pouted a big pout he didn't like that bit of information. "But me no wana do dat," he whined.

Brian sighed. "That's what big boys, grown up's do Nick. When we have to go to the bathroom we don't go in our underwear. We go to the toilet and do our business that way we won't make a mess of things and have to always be changed."

Nick seemed to think about that and he sighed, still pouting a little though. "Dat hard..." he said sort of as a question and a statement at the same time.

Brian looked at Nick before sitting down on Nick's bunk patting the seat beside him. "It's really not that hard Nick. It's simple, really. The second you feel like you need to use the bathroom just go to the bathroom, put the toilet seat down, sit down on it and let go. That's it." Brian tried to explain hoping what he was saying made sense.

Howie looked at Kevin. "I know you're not worried about the fans but still, I want you in bed and I want you to get better. I don't want you worrying about disappointing us because you haven't. I love you," he said kissing Kevin's forehead.

"Me still think hard," Nick said with a shrug, he was at least showing some interest in the subject but he wasn't exactly sure if he was ready for it or not.

"It's not that hard. Here's the thing, I know you know just when you feel like you’re going potty, am I right?" Brian questioned looking at Nick.

Kevin nodded his head as his eyes drifted closed and he was out like a light, his body needing the sleep.

"Hey guys we're pulling up to the Rose Garden!" AJ called from the front of the bus right in time for it to start pulling to a stop.

Justin walked into the bunk area and smiled at Brian and Nick. "So, what's the plan?" Justin questioned.

Brian looked up at Howie and Justin before whispering out, "You and Nick are going to go sight-seeing. And if you guys are coming back you need to call me or one of us and let us before coming to the arena."

Justin wrinkled his forehead before slowly responding, "Okay..."

Howie looked at Justin and said. "We'll give you some spending denero so you don't have to worry about spending your own."

Justin took in a deep breath and nodded his head. "That's fine," he said walking over to his bag and grabbed the clothes he was going to wear that day before walking out to change in the bathroom.

Nick pulled his sweatshirt on and then got his shoes on waiting for somebody to tie them. "What me bring?" he asked, looking around the room to see if he should bring anything.

Brian shook his head. "Nothing really," he said. "Um, maybe a light jacket or sweater, in case it gets cold outside."

Howie nodded his head as he got the clothes he was going to wear for the rehearsal ready, waiting for Justin to finish up.

Hearing all the commotion going on, Kevin opened his eyes and groaned when he realized they had stopped. "Oh god...we're here?"

AJ sighed and nodded his head as he started to get dressed into his own rehearsal clothes. "Yeah we got here like two minutes ago, I haven't seen any sign of him yet."

Brian looked over at Kevin. "Go back to sleep," he said as he finished getting dressed.

Justin walked back in dressed while Howie walked out to go get dressed. "Nick, you ready?"

Nick nodded his head, he had a sweatshirt on, AJ had tied his shoes. "Yup me weady," he said with a smile.

"Should they bring a backpack of his stuff?" AJ asked, wanting to make sure that they had things for Nick just in case they were out for a while.

Brian nodded his head. "Nick's bag is already ready; it's out front on the couch. I put in a bottle of apple juice and milk, so I think that should be everything. There's like two new diapers in there, in case you need it." When Nick was talking to AJ Brian discreetly handed Justin five twenty dollar bills. "Just in case."

Justin blinked and quickly put the money away in his wallet nodding his head. "Do you want us to being Kevin back anything, or anyone else want anything while we’re out?" Justin looked at AJ, Brian, and then at Howie who just walked back in.

Howie nodded his head. "Just that stuff we talked about, the basic medical stuff."

"And five boxes of condoms," AJ teased, smirking at Justin...he couldn't help it he felt like being a punk.

Brian looked at the time and frowned before laughing at AJ's request and Justin blushing yet shocked face. "There's an infant in this area," Brian said. "And if we don’t want to have our behinds chopped off we should head out now." Brian was taking over Kevin's role, now.

Justin shook his head and gently smacked AJ on the shoulder, giving his a kiss on the cheek. "Very funny." Then he whispered in his ear, "And just when are we gonna have time for anything like that, not that I'm saying I'm ready but still?"

Howie, Brian, and Nick walked ahead of Justin and AJ to the front of the bus.
