Nick took a deep breath as he pulled the rental car up to the curb in front of his old apartment building. It looked even more rundown now then it had two months ago.
Justin looked around at the neighborhood trying not to think too much about the appearance of it all. He shivered as he got out of the car and wrapped his scarf tighter around his neck. "Is this it?" He questioned, nodding at the building wondering how it was still standing.
"Yeah," Nick answered walking to the front door that was supposed to have a security code but didn't anymore, all the while not looking at Justin because he was so embarrassed.
Justin was too busy sniffling and had his bent down to notice much of anything around them at the moment. It was still too cold and he still didn't like the winter weather any more than he did before.
Nick led Justin up creaky stairs to the third floor and then down a hallway to a door at the end. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out his set of keys and found the right one. He opened the door and stepped inside. Everything was exactly how he left it two months earlier. It almost scared him at how much it seemed like he was just there yet seemed like a lifetime ago. He glanced back at Justin and sighed a sigh of relief, it hadn't been a dream.
Justin smiled at Nick when he looked back at him and waited for Nick to head on inside. "Are we going in or what?" He questioned when Nick looked like he wasn't going to move anytime soon.
"Oh yeah..." Nick said as he walked into the room making a face at the dirty dishes in the sink that he was sure would just be thrown out because he had no idea what would be growing in there, which then made him think of the fridge. "Sorry it's really messy...see I kinda had to go hop a plane with only fifteen minutes to pack."
Justin looked around and shrugged. "That's understandable," he said and then chuckled. "You dropped a sock in your packing," he nodded over to the bedroom door where a white sock was lying on the floor.
Nick laughed, "I'm not surprised." he said as he walked over to pick it up and then went about picking up various other things trying to make the room look somewhat okay.
Justin stood back watching Nick moving around the room not knowing what to do himself.
After about five minutes Nick stopped and turned to look at Justin standing there looking lost. "Oh...sorry," he said blushing.
"It's okay," Justin said looking back at Nick. "Um... so you need any help packing stuff?"
"If you wana," Nick said with a shrug, not wanting to make Justin work especially since he was finally getting some time off.
"I asked, didn't I?" Justin questioned as he took his gloves off and stuffed it into the pockets of his jacket but he kept everything on, it was still really cold in the apartment.
Nick smiled, "Okay then." he said as he led the way into his bedroom an then over to his closet where he found a big duffle bag and set it on his bed, which was actually just a mattress on the floor.
Justin licked his lips as he saw Nick's bedroom. His heart broke as he imagined what kind of life Nick must have lived just two months ago. He watched as his boyfriend, he paused in thought smiling to himself when how easy it was coming to him now to call Nick his boyfriend, went about packing his clothes. Walking over to the closet he too took out some of the clothes and started folding them before putting them in the duffle bag.
"Thanks," Nick smiled as he folded the clothes he had. He then went to look and see if he wanted to bring any of his shoes. He knelt on the floor looking through them but each of them had something wrong with them so he decided that would just be dumb.
"Did you already tell your land lord or whoever it is that owns this place that you're moving out?" Justin questioned, sitting Indian style on the mattress as he arranged the few articles of clothing Nick had into his duffle, trying to create more room incase there were more things to be put in it.
"Not yet, but I don't think he'll give a rats ass anyway." Nick said making a face thinking about the slime bag that owned the apartment building.
"Oh," Justin said giving Nick a questioning look. "What about the rent... doesn't he... I don't know never mind."
Nick laughed, "Let's just say my land lord isn't somebody you wana meet in a dark ally."
Justin made a face. "Did he do... anything to you?" He questioned, in a soft voice, not meeting Nick's eyes.
Nick didn't answer the question, his land lord had been one of the guys that had done things with him when he had been back in his clubbing days. He actually got free rent for a few months because of 'paying' differently. This is where he went after he escaped the house he was held captive in. Sure, a normal person wouldn't have thought the situation was much better but at least he got his own place to go back and cry in after it was done.
At Nick's silence Justin already figured out the answer to his question. He gripped the shirt he was holding at the moment, seeing nothing but red as the blood in his system boiled. He couldn't imagine a world like this, that there were people like the landlord doing things like that. Sure, he's seen and heard things of this nature happening but it happening to someone he loved and cared for... it was all too surreal. He just hoped he wouldn't bump or meet this bastard or there would be hell to pay.
Nick noticed the look on Justin's face and knew what he was thinking. "Hey...don't worry about it I'm okay...it happened a long time ago."
"That still doesn't make it right," Justin said through gritted teeth. And why was Nick calm about it? He shuddered at the thought of his boyfriend having to deal with all these things. His admiration and respect for Nick just increased some more.
Nick walked over to Justin and pulled him into his arms. "You can't make the past go away, Justin...but I'm so glad I have you here with me now to protect me."
"I'll do my best to do just that," Justin promised with sigh. "Just, uh... don't introduce us... I can't promise I won't deck the bastard!"
Nick laughed a little, "I won't..." he trailed off trying to think of all the places he shouldn't take Justin while they were there, especially the street only a few streets away where all the gay bars and clubs were held. He didn't associate with those people for a long time now but the rent was cheaper and he didn't have much of a choice so he stuck around the area.
Justin thought back to all the things Nick's every told him about his life here in Indiana and he couldn't help but wonder... "Is... the landlord... that same guy who used to lock you up?"
Nick shook his head like crazy, "No that was William...he doesn't really live around here, he lives in the rich part of town. I came here after I left there."
"Oh," Justin said and made a face wondering just how many people took advantage of Nick. He shook his head and pulled Nick closer, into a hug, not wanting to let the man in his arm go. Nick would be safe with him.
Nick relaxed in Justin's arms not realizing how tense he was up until this point.
After a few minutes of just holding each other Justin pulled back and said, "Well, let's get all your things together and get out of here," he said thinking that Nick might not want to stay here longer than necessary.
Justin was right, but only partly. Nick didn't want to stay here but part of him felt like he should. "Can we stay here...at least tonight?" he asked not sure why he really wanted to but part of him thought it would help him put this chapter in his life to a close easier.
Justin looked around and then nodded his head. "Okay," he said with a small smile. "We can do whatever you wanna do."
Nick smiled back as he closed the duffle bag and then headed back into the living room to figure out what he wanted to bring from in there. He stopped at his computer and was shocked to see it was still working because he had never actually turned it off. "Dang this piece of junk is still running." he said wiggling the mouse and laughing when he saw his and Justin's conversation pop up on screen. He had saved it.
"What's still working?" Justin questioned as he heard Nick's voice carry out into the bedroom. He got up and headed out into the living room, finding Nick in front his computer and looked at something. "Don't tell me you're reading that... stuff again!"
Nick laughed and shook his head, "No...I just found our online conversation." he said clicking it closed but then blushed when he saw a Justin wallpaper an online friend had made for him a while back sitting on his desktop.
Justin raised an eyebrow as he looked at the computer. "Interesting," he said with a chuckle standing behind him and wrapping his arms around his waist.
"Okay that was embarrassing," Nick said as he shut the computer down, fully red in the face by this point.
"That you have a picture of me as your wallpaper or…the fact that the pictures in the wallpaper were of me topless?" He questioned.
Nick laughed still blushing, "Ummm both I think."
Justin chuckled not really thinking much about it; after all he was used to it, "Alright, so now what?"
"You wana go get something to eat?" Nick suggested knowing it was late. "I mean it's almost nine."
Justin nodded his head. "Since we missed lunch, yeah," he said letting go of Nick. "We're going out or ordering?"
"We'll go out, its' hard to get good take out around here." Nick laughed as he turned off the light in the room and headed for the door. "We'll head into a better part of town to find food."
"Okay," Justin said following Nick, putting his gloves back on.
Once downstairs they walked outside into the freezing cold night and climbed into the car. "Burr," he said as he turned the heat on full blast and waited till the car defrosted.
Justin rubbed at his frozen nose with his gloved hands and relaxed against the seat. He was so glad that he'd only have to be in this cold weather another day.
"Are you turning into a snowman?" Nick asked smirking over at his boyfriend. He thought it was cold but he was sure Justin thought it was almost unbearable.
"Yup," Justin said sniffling a bit. "But more like a Popsicle instead though."
"We'll get some place nice and warm and tonight we'll work on the body heat thing." Nick said with a smile. The drive to the restaurant he had in mind took about half an hour and by the time they pulled into the parking lot they were finally warm and now they had to get back out again.
"Do they deliver out to the car?" Justin questioned with a sigh, dreading to get out of the car and walk the few feet into the restaurant. He adjusted his hat even more, thankful that he wouldn't be recognized by anyone.
Nick laughed at Justin as they got out of the car and headed into the upscale restaurant. "You look like you're coming to rob the joint not eat here." he said commenting on the way Justin was wearing his hat practically over his face.
"At least it's not a stocking covering my whole head," Justin commented with a chuckle as he got out of the car quickly and dashed into the restaurant not wanting to give the cold air a single moment to seep in through his clothes.
Nick laughed shaking his head as he walked in behind Justin. He then walked up to the host and told them his name and was actually surprised when he said there was a table already.
Justin shook his head when the waiter came over and asked if he would like to have his coat taken and put in the coat room before he followed the host and Nick to their table. "This is a nice place," he commented when they were seated and looking at their menus.
"Yeah it is," Nick agreed as he too looked at his menu. It was a seafood restaurant and already knew what he wanted.
Justin closed his menu not able to pick out one thing that he wanted. He relaxed against his seat before shrugging out of his jacket and draping it on the back of his chair. "Did you come here often?"
Nick shook his head, "Only a few times." he said as he also closed his menu. "Did you find what you wanted?"
"Plenty," Justin said. "But I'll get whatever you're having."
"I'm getting Coconut prawns and a dinner salad." Nick said with a smile.
Justin stared at Nick and nodded his head. "Okay, then I'll get the shrimp scampi and the dinner salad," he chuckled.
Nick laughed rolling his eyes. Once the waiter came he ordered for both of them not thinking about how that would look.
Justin sipped his glass of water before looking up at Nick. He smiled happy to see Nick smiling.
"Are you going to survive sleeping some place with no heat?" Nick asked really wanting to make sure Justin would be okay.
Justin shrugged. He figured if Nick would do it then he could as well. "Yeah," he said. "Besides I got you to keep me warm."
Nick laughed, "Yeah all the blubber and stuff works well." he teased himself.
Justin rolled his eyes as he playfully kicked Nick under the table.
"Owe!" Nick exclaimed pouting playfully. "Meany."
"That's what you get for being mean to yourself," Justin said with a smirk.
Nick was about to say something smart back when a person across the room caught his attention and his breath caught in his throat.
Justin frowned when he heard Nick let out a small gasp and pale. "Nick?" He questioned and followed his line of vision. He got even more confused when he saw a dark haired man with a very defined jaw and facial features. "Nick?"
Nick shook his head and came out of whatever trance he was in. "What?" he asked trying to act like nothing was bothering him.
"Is everything okay?" He questioned looking back at the man that caught Nick's attention. "What saw an ex-boyfriend or something?" He joked not realizing the truth in that statement although he wasn't really in a light mood.
"What...I mean...no," Nick stumbled over his words before looking down at the table; playing with his napkin. All he needed was for the man in question to notice him and come over.
Justin looked back over to the dark hair man and frowned some more and he hadn't realized he was staring at the man until brown eyes looked directly into his. Quickly he looked away feeling embarrassed for staring. A few moments later he looked back and noticed the man watching Nick with surprise and interest. Justin quickly looked at Nick. "Nick, be honest with me... do you know that guy?"
Nick simply nodded his head praying the floor would open him up and swallow him whole.
Justin didn't like the way Nick was acting. "And have you mentioned this guy to me?" He questioned.
Nick swallowed and nodded his head again. "I...I'm gunna go to the bathroom I'll be right back." he said as he got up and quickly walked towards the back of the restaurant needing to just calm down for a second.
Justin watched Nick get up and leave and he sighed as he sipped his drink. A few seconds later he noticed the mystery guy walking in the same direction Nick had gone in and he got a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach.
Nick was in one of the stalls, sitting with his pants on and his head in his hands. He was panicking and he knew it so he was trying to get the blood to flow to his brain and his breathing to get normal again.
The mystery guy opened the bathroom door and walked inside slowly, smiling to himself when there were no other occupants of the bathroom. He looked under the stalls and walked over to the one that was occupied. He knocked on the door.
"Justin I'm fine...go back to the table." Nick mumbled in his hands thinking that was who it was knocking on the door.
"Nickolas," the raspy voice said, his tone light and yet haunting. "Don't tell me you forgot me..."
Nick's stomach clenched and his breath caught in his throat. His first instinct was to cry out and call for Justin but nothing would come out of his mouth.
"Open up, Nick," he said.
"I'm going to the bathroom," Nick stated not saying anymore then that.
"With your pants on?"
'Shit,'" Nick thought to himself as he closed his eyes and mentally called for Justin to come and save him.
"Oh, come on... is this anyway to treat your ex?" He asked and then looked over at the door when he heard the knob rattle. He smiled to himself because he had locked the door to give him and Nick some privacy.
Nick getting some strength from some place stood up opened the door and looked into the man that had practically tortured him for months on end. "My ex?" he said with a laugh.
He raised his eye brow and leaned against the door. "You're right... we never really broke it off now did we? You just up and left, now is that anyway to treat your boyfriend?"
"Is holding your boyfriend captive and hurting him very nice?" Nick asked trying to hide how afraid he really was.
"Now, now Nickolas," he said stepping in closer to Nick, looking directly into his blue eyes. "I only made you stay in my house to keep you safe from the people out in the streets."
Nick's heart was beating so fast he could hear it in his ears as he tried to keep eye contact with his monster of a man. 'Please Justin...get me outa here.' his mind screamed wishing he had telepathic abilities right about now.
He smirked. "Looks like you gotta go to the bathroom," he said noticing how Nick was shaking and looking like he was going to piss in his pants. "Nothing's changed since the last time I saw you... you're still a stupid scared little kid."
Nick was wishing he had actually used the bathroom now because he was seriously feeling the need now. "You have no idea what or who I am, William." he spat back, sounding tough even though he looked scared to death.
William looked back at the door when he heard the knob rattling again before he heard the key being inserted into the lock. He quickly stepped back from Nick and walked over to the sinks, washing his hands, making it look like nothing happened.
As soon as the door opened Justin quickly entered the bathroom, his eyes were wide and his breathing was ragged. He spotted Nick at one of the stalls and the other man at the sinks. "Why the fuck was the door locked?" He questioned looking between the guy and Nick and then over at the security guard who was checking the lock on the door.
"I...I...I accidentally locked it." Nick stated sounding beyond frazzled, and he hadn't even realized he had wet himself he was so scared. HE wasn't sure why he was lying either...he wasn't thinking straight.
William smiled to himself as he turned the water off and went over to the hand-dryer. It was then he got a good look at Justin and his eyes went wide. "Hey, aren't you that... guy?" He questioned before looking at Nick and fought the urge to snort when he saw Nick's pants were wet. Yes, he was still dumb scared little kid but... now he had this famous guy, interesting.
Justin's eyes narrowed as he looked at the guy. "Who the hell are you?" He questioned, not having a clue but had a bad feeling about this guy. "William."
Justin's world came to a halt when that name sunk in.
Nick reached over and had to hold onto the side of the stall to keep from falling over or faint.
Justin was vaguely aware that the security guard had left and the door was closed behind them and he was also aware of the coy grin that William was throwing in his direction. His blood boiled but he quickly walked over to where Nick was and stood next to him. "Stay the hell away from him!" William raised an eyebrow..."And what are you going to do about it? Oh... don't tell me, you're a fag too." He laughed at the irony of it all. "Man, I should have known!"
Justin clenched his fists at his sides, his anger getting the best of him.
Nick finally shook out of the trance he was in and stood upright again. "Come on Justin let's go." he said trying to pull Justin out of the room.
Justin stood his ground, seething with rage. "Take's one to know one, doesn't it?" He retorted before Nick tugged on his rather hard and soon he was being pulled out of the bathroom.
Nick didn't stop pulling on Justin until they were outside, leaving their coats back inside but he didn't care. Once in the car he climbed into the driver's seat and just sat there.
Justin took in big deep breaths to calm himself down before he turned his attention to Nick. "Nick...what happened in there?" He questioned. "He didn't touch you, did he? Hurt you? I'll go kill him." He made a move to get back out of the car and go about killing the bastard.
"No...I'm fine." Nick lied as he started the car, still in so much shock he didn't realize he was sitting in wet pants. A sure sign everything was not okay.
"Nick..." Justin said when Nick turned the car on, still angry. "We can't leave... our things are inside..."
Nick ran a hand through his hair. "I...we...I gotta." he said not even wanting Justin to go back inside because he didn't want to be left alone and there was no way he was going back inside.
Justin sighed as he ran a frustrated hand over his face. "My wallet and cell is in my jacket.." He said. "I have to go back in to get it."
Nick noticed Justin getting frustrated and automatically thought it was aimed towards him. "Okay...we'll go back in." he said turning the car off feeling like he was going to puke but he wouldn't let Justin be mad at him.
"No," Justin said already knowing he didn't want Nick and William to meet each other again. "I'll go in and get our things... it'll only be a few seconds!"
"NO!" Nick practically screamed, there was no way in hell Justin was leaving him.
Justin jumped in his seat, startled when Nick yelled. "What? What happened?" He questioned, not understanding why Nick wasn't letting him get their things.
"D...Don't...leave me." Nick said not able to keep up the strong front anymore.
His body was beginning to tremble again as he pulled his legs up on the seat and he wrapped his arms around them.
"Oh Nick," Justin said reaching over to Nick's side and pulling him into his arms in an awkward position. "I'm not leaving you... just for a few seconds... I'll be back out, soon. I promise!"
Nick shook his head like crazy against Justin's shoulder. He was petrified to be left alone, what if William came outside when Justin was gone. It would only take a few seconds for something bad to happen.
Justin took in a deep breath and made a face when he smelled urine. Letting out a sigh he looked over to the restaurant just in time to see the waiter walking out towards them with a concerned look on his face.
Nick tensed and cowered into himself when the waiter came to the window thankfully on Justin's side and tapped on it.
Justin let go of Nick and looked at the window before rolling it down. The waiter asked him if everything was alright and said that their food was ready. Justin informed him that they had a family emergency and if they could get their food to go. He also asked the man to retrieve their things from the table and bring it to them to which the waiter agreed after seeing the condition Nick was in. Justin rolled the window back up and his attention back to Nick.
"I...I...I'm okay." Nick stuttered trying to get himself to calm down still. "I am...I'm okay."
"Doesn't look like it to me," Justin said looking at Nick and the way he was shaking. "Come on, switch seats with me... you're in no position to drive."
Nick didn't argue with Justin and got out of the car and then around the other side and climbed in where Justin had just left by climbing over the seat. At the same time the waiter came with their food and their coats so they could leave now.
Justin waited till Nick was inside with all their things and he watched with frown when the waiter just stood there looking at them. "Um, you didn't pay..." The waiter finally said and Justin quickly grabbed his jacket and took his wallet out. He took a fifty and a twenty dollar bill out hoping that would cover their meal and whatever trouble they caused the restaurant. "Keep the change," he called out to the waiter. "And thank you for all your help." With that he started the car and pulled out of the parking lot.
Nick didn't say anything besides directions the whole ride back to his apartment, nor did he say anything even when they walked into the freezing building.
Once they got to Nick's apartment Justin fished around Nick's jacket until he found the keys and opened the door letting Nick walk in before shutting the door behind them and putting the lock on it. "Nick... "He said softly.
Nick turned to look at Justin, "Hmm?"
"You Ok?" Justin asked.
Nick almost lied again but changed his mind and shook his head. "No."
Justin nodded his head as he placed their jackets and dinner on the wobbly dining table he saw before making his way over to Nick. "Ok," he said. "Wanna talk about it?"
"I...I don't..." Nick sighed he didn't know what he wanted to do. It was then he finally noticed something and glanced down at the front of himself, his eyes going wide.
Justin looked down too and stifled his laughter. This was not the time to laugh, maybe later when everything had calmed down but right now Nick needed assurance and comfort. Justin laughing his ass off would not help the situation. "Um, shower?"
"Yeah," Nick whispered as he walked through the living room and opened a door that was next to his bedroom and turned on the light. He wasn't shocked to see a few dead cockroaches on the ground and counter because of freezing to death.
Justin walked over to where he'd set his own bags down and rummaged through it for change of clothes before walking with everything into the bedroom. He then took out clothes for Nick to change into and set it down next to his, waiting for Nick to be done in the bathroom.
"Justin!" Nick called from inside the bathroom.
Justin immediately rushed to the bathroom, getting scared something might have happened. "Yeah, what?" He questioned.
"Don't leave me," Nick said from where he was standing in the middle of the small room still fully dressed.
"I'm right here..." Justin said, frowning. "I told you I wasn't going to leave you."
Nick swallowed hard and nodded his head as he stripped out of his wet pants and shirt and then stepped into the shower which he had already started. Thankfully he always did have a good hot water heater.
Justin didn't know what to do. Just stand there and watch Nick shower or to go back into the bedroom and take a seat. "Nick, I'm just gonna grab our change of clothes, okay? I'll be right back..." With that he walked into the bedroom and grabbed their clothes and quickly headed back into the bathroom. He made a face at the cockroaches before he took a seat on the closed toilet seat.
"Y...You can come with me...if you want to." Nick said not sure if Justin would want to come with him.
Justin looked over at Nick before nodding his head slowly. He stood up and began to take his clothes off slowly. "I wasn't sure if you wanted me to."
"I need you as close to me as possible." Nick admitted but then felt bad. "I...I know I'm being clingy...but I can't help it." he said feeling Justin would be upset with him.
"That's fine," Justin said not knowing what else to say. He understood why Nick was being that way so he didn't particularly mind.
Nick sighed a sigh of relief when Justin climbed into the tub with him. It wasn't the cleanest place in the world so he didn't plan on being in there for very long.
Justin let of a content sigh as the warm water hit his skin. He then wrapped his arms around Nick's body, holding him close.
"I love you," Nick whispered as he leaned into Justin, soaking up the feeling of Justin's naked body holding him so close.
"Love you too," Justin said kissing Nick's shoulder before grabbing the soap only to frown when it seemed like the soap was stuck to the marble it had been resting on. "Damn thing..." He tried again.
Nick watched and couldn't help but giggle. "There should be a new bar in the drawer under the sink.
Justin gave up on the soap and went looking under the sink only to gasp when a few cockroaches ran out and some, dead ones, fell from where ever they were at. Taking in a deep breath he carefully grabbed the new bar and blew the dust off of it. He then opened it up and got back in the tub.
"Cockroaches?" Nick asked seeing the look on Justin's face.
Justin wrinkled his nose and nodded his head. "Yeah," he said.
"I think they like me cuz they were always around." Nick said making a face of his own as he tried to still calm his frayed nerves.
"You're just too sweet," Justin said getting the soap to foam up the soap before lathering Nick up.
Nick sighed as Justin soaped up is back which was as tense as a board.
Justin made a note of how tense Nick was and quickly washed him off before he soaped himself up and washed off. Turning the water off he said, "Come on... let's get to bed."
"Okay," Nick said as he climbed out of the shower, shivering at the cold air and quickly grabbed a towel.
Once Justin was dried off along with Nick, he grabbed their change of clothes and handed Nick's his. He then quickly pulled on his boxers, sweatpants, his wife beater and a sweatshirt.
Nick dressed in almost identical clothes before he pulled back the sheets happy to see that they were still okay to sleep in and climbed under the numerous blankets.
Justin shivered a bit and wiggled around on the bed trying to find a comfortable spot. He soon found one a few seconds later, on his right side, facing Nick.
"This trip has already turned out like a disaster." Nick whispered as he looked into Justin's eyes.
"It wasn't a disaster," Justin said thinking that worse things could have happened.
"I don't know why I took you to that place knowing perfectly well that I was getting closer to where he was." Nick said with a sigh.
Justin shrugged. "You said that it was a nice restaurant," he said. "I'm sure you didn't do it intentionally."
"Yeah," Nick said as he continued to look into Justin's eyes imagining what would have happened if Justin hadn't been there tonight.
A few minutes passed and Justin asked, "What are you thinking about?"
"What I would have done if you hadn't been there to save me tonight." Nick said being honest.
"Don't think about things like that," Justin said. "Let's not think about the 'what if's' okay? I was there... and nothing happened to you, that's all that matters."
"Besides me making a total fool of myself and actually pissing my pants." Nick said shaking his head.
"And let's not think about that either," Justin said with a small smile. "I probably would have crapped in my pants if I were in your situation."
"I'm surprised I didn't," Nick said with a small smile of his own. He then snuggled closer to Justin. "I never thought this moment would happen."
"What? Us sleeping in bed together?" Justin asked, confused. "We've already done this... a bunch of times."
Nick laughed, "No sleeping in THIS bed together, you have NO idea how many dreams I had in this very bed of you being in here with me."
"Oh," Justin said closing his eyes and trying to imagine Nick doing just that. He smiled as he opened his eyes and looked into blue eyes. "What kind of dreams?"
"What kind of dreams do you think?" Nick chuckled. "Where do you think my brain would go if I was thinking about you in my bed?"
Justin playfully rolled his eyes. "I can imagine," he said. "But I wanna hear you telling me what kind of dreams you had of me."
Nick blushed a little, "Like details and stuff?"
Justin nodded his head.
Nick thought for a second and then thought of one. "Well there was this one where I met you backstage at a concert and then some how you came back to here with me and showed me just how well those hips of yours work when not just on stage dancing."
"Oh," Justin said, getting closer to Nick, draping his arm and leg over him. "Do you write...?"
"Write?" Nick asked not fully understanding what Justin was asking.
"That stuff you read online..." Justin clarified. "Do you write anything like that?"
Nick shook his head quickly, "No I just read it."
Justin thought about what he wanted to say. "I wanna know how you would write us together." He said in a near whisper.
"I...I'm not sure how I would." Nick whispered back. "Especially now since we are together."
Justin shrugged. "You'll think of something," he said and couldn't believe he was about to say what he was going to say. "I wanna read it when you're done."
"Okay," Nick said hoping he'll be able to write something worth justice
"What are your plans for tomorrow?" He asked.
"Probably just to finish packing stuff," Nick said looking around the dark room but still able to make out a few things he needed to pack.
"Alright," Justin said. "Where exactly did the desk end up getting to?" He asked when he hadn't noticed his gift to Nick in the apartment.
"You know that's a good question," Nick said sitting up and looking around.
Justin whimpered when Nick sat up causing the blankets to go further down and cold air to seep into the warmth.
"I'll worry about that tomorrow," Nick said as he flopped back down and snuggled up again.
"This is much better," Justin said pressing his body close to Nick's trying to get all the heat that he possibly could get.
"Yes it is," Nick agreed as he rested his head against Justin's chest.
"This is much better," Justin said pressing his body close to Nick's trying to get all the heat that he possibly could get.
"Yes it is," Nick agreed as he rested his head against Justin's chest.
"Nick... could you... show me where you grew up?" Justin asked in a soft yet far away voice.
Nick didn't say anything for a second before he nodded his head. "Yeah I can do that...thankfully nobody is home."
Justin wanted to know everything about Nick and that meant even the place where he grew up. "And even the school you went to?"
Nick laughed, "Why should I do that...you never showed me these things when you took me home to your hometown." he teased.
"You never asked," Justin said in his defense. "Besides, most of my growing up was in Orlando."
Nick thought about that, "Good point...you must take me to Orlando sometime then." he giggled. "But I guess if I must I'll show you all that stuff."
"Thank you," Justin said. "And yeah, I'll show you around Orlando sometime."
"Ohh YAY another tropical climate," Nick said with a smile. "Growing up in this cold fridgid place I totally love LA so I bet Florida is nice too."
"It is," Justin said. "I'm gonna have to take you to Miami and then the Keys... maybe finally use that yacht I bought."
Nick's eyes went wide, "You have a yacht?"
Justin nodded his head. "Don't know why I have it... I never used it," he said and laughed. "It's still docked at the port."
"I've never been on a yacht," Nick said batting his eyelashes playfully.
"Well, I guess then we'll have to go and get you on that yacht," Justin nodded, "Eventually."
"Yeah...when do you gotta leave for Toronto?" Nick asked softly, not wanting to think about being away from Justin that long, not even thinking he was invited along.
"By the end of this week," Justin said just as softly.
"Oh," Nick whispered as he tried to not show any emotion.
Justin sighed as he felt the change in Nick. "It'll be okay," he assured him.
"Of course," Nick said as he subconsciously snuggled closer to Justin.
"There are Kelly, and Eddie, and Marty, and Manny," Justin counted off the people that would be there for Nick.
"Right," Nick said softly, so desperately wanting to go along with Justin, especially after what happened tonight.
Justin didn't bother to mention just how long he'd have to be in Toronto, he didn't think it would be wise to mention a month of his absence to Nick at this moment. "I'll drop by every chance I get, okay? Besides, you're going to be busy working at Chi anyways. You won't have time to miss me." He sniffled.
"Not true," Nick whispered as he turned over so he was looking away from Justin, not wanting the other man to see him getting upset. They had been doing so well the last few days, well despite the JC fiasco and what happened at the restaurant tonight.
Justin ran a hand over his head and looked at the back of Nick's head. There he was, upsetting Nick again. He didn't know what to do or how to get Nick to understand all of this.
After a minute Nick turned back around and snuggled back into Justin, his face going into the crook of his neck, hiding his face. "Sorry," he mumbled against the material of his sweatshirt.
Justin didn't say anything except let Nick snuggle back up to him. He kissed his forehead and closed his eyes.
Nick moved one of his legs over Justin's to try and get him even closer. He was in the mood again that if he let Justin go he would be gone when he woke up.
"Comfy yet?" Justin smirked as Nick acted like a very affectionate octopus.
"Almost," Nick said as he wiggled a little more until they were flush against each other, groin to groin. "Now I am."
Justin took in a deep breath and relaxed more. "Okay," he said. "Good night Nick."
"Night, love you." Nick whispered as he let himself relax fully.
"You too," Justin said letting sleep take over him. And it wasn't long after that he opened his eyes only to close them again, at the brightness of the room. He turned his head and opened his eyes again, blinking until he realized the haze of blonde he was seeing was Nick's hair. His body was killing him, for having slept in the same position all through the night with Nick practically on top of him. He stayed put trying to figure how to dislodge himself and go use the bathroom without waking Nick up.
Nick was still fast asleep, he had managed the whole night without a nightmare and was actually experiencing a rather nice dream right then and it was probably becoming obvious to Justin with the way they were pressed together.
Justin bit his lower lip as he wiggled around a little, hoping maybe Nick would let go but that didn't happen. Nick ended up tightening his hold on him and Justin felt Nick's morning wood pressed against his. He smiled to himself to see that Nick had actually slept the whole night without a nightmare which is found rather surprising. When Nick had a nice normal day he had nightmares but when he had a traumatic day... he was sleeping like a baby.
Nick moaned a little in his sleep, the combination of the dream and Justin really moving around against him was causing him to feel pretty damn good. "Justin..." he moaned, still asleep.
Justin figured it was a good thing Nick was dreaming about him and he felt good about it. He twisted around so that he was the one that was laying half on top of Nick while Nick was on his back. "Nick..." He whispered not really wanting to wake him up but at the same time he really did have to go to the bathroom.
After a second Nick's eyes blinked open and he seemed almost shocked to see Justin looking down at him. It was obvious he had been expecting what he was feeling to only be a dream.
Justin smiled at the shock on Nick's face. "Morning," he whispered before kissing the tip of his nose.
"Morning," Nick said in a husky voice from being sleepy and because of the fact he was pressing something quite hard against Justin's hip right now.
"Had a good night's sleep?" Justin questioned, shifting his hips a bit to rub against Nick's groin.
Nick swallowed hard and nodded his head, "Yeah...actually I did."
"That's good to hear," Justin said. "But I gotta go to the bathroom... mind letting go for a minute?" He batted his eyelashes.
Nick blushed a little and let his arms fall to his sides. "Go...don't want you peeing on me." he teased.
Justin laughed. "Don't wanna pee on you either," he said getting up and immediately making a face at the coldness he felt without the confines of the blankets and Nick snuggled with him. He definitely didn't plan on taking more time than necessary in the bathroom. Quickly he went and did his business before crawling back into bed, next to Nick. "It's only seven thirty," he said.
"I don't have much left to pack...we can stay in bed for a while longer." Nick said as he attempted to snuggle up to Justin again.
"Okay, but don't forget you gotta show me around," Justin said slipping his cold hands under Nick's shirts.
Nick shrieked and glared playfully at Justin. "Hey not nice!" he said with a shiver.
"Sorry, but I'm cold," Justin said. "And you're all warm and cozy..."
"Yes and I would like to stay that way," Nick said as he was thankful that Justin's hands started to warm up against his skin.
"Yea, yeah..." Justin said rolling his eyes before moving his hands up and down Nick's smooth warm skin.
Nick shivered again but this time for a different reason then the cold. "Did you sleep well?" he asked.
"I slept in one position," Justin said with a smile. "So, yeah... I did."
Nick blushed a little, "Sorry." he said sheepishly.
"Don't need to be," Justin said with a shrug. "But you seemed to have slept well.. so that's a good thing."
"Yeah it was nice to sleep a full night for once." Nick said with a smile actually shocked that he had slept was well as he did.
"So... what were you dreaming about?"
"What makes you think I was dreaming about anything?" Nick asked with a raised eyebrow.
"'Cause of this," Justin replied moving his hips to that it brushed against Nick's hard on. "And 'cause you were moaning."
"Oh," Nick laughed. "That dream..."
'Yeah... that dream," Justin said smiling.
"I was dreaming about waking up to a very sexy man. I never expected to open my eyes and see the same thing in reality." Nick whispered.
"So that's why you looked shocked," Justin said with a giggle. "
Nick giggled too, "Yeah it's a little weird to wake up and see the same thing you were dreaming about...and in the same position I must add.
Justin raised his brow and looked at Nick. "Interesting," he said.
"Very," Nick agreed as he looked up at Justin.
Justin leaned over and buried his face in the crook of Nick's neck placing a soft kiss to the smooth skin there.
Nick moved his right hand up to Justin's head and ran his fingers over the short hair that was no longer buzzed like it had been when he had first met the man two months earlier.
Justin moaned when Nick ran his hand over his head. That felt really good.
Nick smiled when he heard Justin moan but didn't say anything. He loved to make his boyfriend feel good so he just continued to run his fingers over the short hair that was beginning to get curly again.
Justin scooted down on the bed before he shifted positions so that he was resting his head on Nick's chest, listening to his heart beat as Nick ran his hands through his hair. If Nick kept this up he was going to back to sleep.
Nick could feel Justin's breathing beginning to even out and he didn't think it would be all that bad if either of them fell back to sleep. They had a busy day ahead of them and Justin had a busy time coming up with the movie.
Justin nuzzled his face into Nick's sweat shirt covered chest. This time, however, he was the one resting on top of Nick as he fell back to sleep.
