After the decision was made to begin releasing KoF games on the AtomisWave board, 2004 went without a true KoF. However, this spare time was used in an attempt to create The King of Fighters XI, which would continue the series on the new arcade hardware. Continuing the ASH Saga, much of this game remains shrouded in mystery. However, K' is ever present, and for the first time, kula is on the same team as him. We knew it was only a matter of time, but I'm happy to finally see it happen. The tag system remains, but much has changed. Timeouts are now settled by the Judgement System, which gives victory to th eplayer that used more combos and got more unblocked hits in when there is no clear winner. Furthermore, Skill Stocks are added to the system, added another layer of gameplay. However, to fully take advantage of the system, both Power Stocks and Skill Stocks must be used efficiently! Let's hope this turns out to be a brilliant new chapter in the KoF series!
