These are the official documents written by Cadsuane Melaidhrin. The issues stated below are not to be considered correct, nor are they to be considered incorrect. The entire reason this report was written was to furnish a new insight into an old debated issue. Some issues re commonly accepted, others are simply my philosophical interpretation of facts proven by scientific experimentation. Please enjoy reading.

Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah

Volume 1

Due to its lack of substance the One Power is of a very complex nature is hard to test and diagnose. It is not a physical substance and is invisible to all but those trained to see it. About 2 out of 10 women have the inborn ability to channel and 3 others can be taught to channel. Men who can use the power seem rare but that is only because we take preventative measures to prevent them from ever learning to use it and cut off their ability. Thus was the purpose of the Red Ajah. Recently the self proclaimed Dragon Reborn has granted amnesty to all male channelers, thus rendering the Red Ajah obsolete.

There are two halves of the power Saidin and Saidar. Men can only use Saidin, and women can only use Saidar. There are five parts to each power, each is totally equal and totally different. The five parts, which we will call threads are, Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, and Spirit. Both Saidin and Saidar have these threads. Men are usually stronger in Fire and Earth, and women in Wind and Water. Spirit is commonly accepted as a constant in which both men and women are equal. During the War of Power when Lewis Therin, nicknamed Kinslayer because he murdered his own family, with other Aes Sedai used seven seals of cuendillar to reseal the Dark One’s prison. As a final act of retribution the Dark One placed on Saidin a curse, which we will call the Taint. The taint is inflicted upon the men whenever they seize the source. It has been described as a sweet gut-wrenching feeling that spreads through the body like acid. It is life and Death in one. Why Saidin received the taint and Saidar did not is a mystery. When men want to use Saidin they have to force it to come to them and when it does the taint tries to overwhelm them. When women wish to use Saidar we let down out barriers and open ourselves to it and it willingly fills us. Men use the technique of "The Flame and the Void." Women use the technique best described as "The Opening Flower".

Why were the powers created? (Speculatory)

No person in history has ever attempted to actually determine why Saidin and Saidar were created. Yes, it has been said they are there to turn the Wheel of Time but I want to go deeper into the creation. Most of the ideas presented here will be disagreed with and some will be agreed with. They can not be proven nor disproven at the current time and possibly never will be determined. Now it is my belief that in the beginning there was darkness. Evil ruled the planet and the entire universe and giant creatures wreaked havoc across the land. The Creator saw this and summoned up a group of beings, which we will call "Rods". These "Rods" then at the Creator’s command streaked out across the Universe and then turned around and rushed back at one another and on impact exploded and sent the stars we see in the sky. These stars with powers over nature at great distances, which was bestowed upon them by the Creator, created harmony wherever they were. The areas between Galaxies and on planets such as our own were the only place the Dark One and his minions could inhabit. The Dark One was so angry he attacked the Creator and the heavens lit up with fire. The Creator tricked the Dark One to fall into the Largest of the galaxies and the Stars attacked him and with the help of the Creator trapped the Dark One on a small planet. So the Dark One was confined on the planet under the watch of the Creator. The Creator knew he would eventually escape so he sent two of his brightest stars down and they became man and woman. For this event he created Saidin and Saidar to help these people contain the Dark One. Seeing a great opportunity to be able to use these powers to run the Wheel of Time he attached the three together and Saidar and Saidin began to spin the Wheel which weaved the Pattern of Life. Satisfied he rested from the battle.

The theory I stated coexists with the Wheel theory but explains a possible reason for their creation. I also believe that all humans in the beginning had the ability to channel yet the Dark One corrupted generations of them so it was forgotten. All people still have the potential yet because of the Dark One’s efforts the part of the brain which opens us to the powers was shut and locked. Eventually some humans bypass the door and so we have the male and female channelers. But it was these channelers who bore the hole in the Dark Ones prison and brought down hatred and scorn upon the good channelers.
