Employability Skills
The
county requires that 20% of the grade be Employability Skills. The students
will begin with 100 points for employability skills and will lose them
according to the scale below.
| unexcused absence = -15 points per day |
| truancy = -25 points per day |
| tardy = -10 points per day |
| sleeping in class = -2 points |
| breaking class rule = -2 points |
| disruptive classroom behavior = -2 points |
| missing assignment = -5 points |
| missing materials = -2 points |
| not on task = -2 points |
I grade all work on a points basis.
Each assignment has a point value homework = 5 points, tests = 100 points,
journal = 5 points, project = 25 points, etc. The average is found by
dividing the accumulated points by the assigned
points. This will account for 80% of the quarter grade. This will include
but not be limited to the above listed behaviors.
