THE DEAD MILKMEN
Tacoland

from Bucky Fellini

Tabbed by: Ben Gladdle (moose9377@hotmail.com)

One of the best from Bucky Fellini, just behind Jellyfish
Heaven and City of Mud. In my opinion, anyway.

Two guitars in this one, a normal guitar and another lead guitar
that's used on all the slide parts. My slide is missing, but you
might want to dig yours out and have a shot.

Once again, it's all bar chords, and I'm feeling nice today, so
I'm going to list 'em all for ya, but you really should know
these by now.

    EADGBE
 G 355433
Bb 688766 or x13331
 C x35553
D# x68886
 D x57775
 F 133211
Cm x35543
Gm 355333
G# 466544
 A 577655

Verse:
-----
G Bb
     There's a place
C D#
     In San Anton
G Bb
     Where I can go
C D#
     And not feel alone!

Chorus:
------
G D
Tacoland
D# Bb
It's a panacea
G D
Tacoland
        D# Bb
They're always glad to see ya

Chorus2:
-------
C D#
   You'll understand
         C
When you go on
D# F
Down to Tacoland

For this part, the normal guitar is playing the chords
in the background while the lead slides up to each of the
C and D# chords.

verse:
When I feel
My world is lost
I go to Tacoland
And I get really tossed!

chorus:
I wish my band would always play
Tacoland, I want to stay

chorus2:
You'll understand
When you go on
Down to Tacoland

Bridge:
------
          Cm Gm
There's a girl with dirty hair
              Cm Gm
She's got her dress up in the air
    G# D#
She tells a lot of jokes
      Bb F G
Hell, she's got a lot to share

Instrumental:
------------
 Bbsus4/Bb D#
E---6--6---6--6---6--6---6--6---9-9-9-8-6---
B---6--6---6--6---6--6---8--8---------------
G---8--7---8--7---8--7---8--8---------------
D---8--8---8--8---8--8---8--8---------------
A---8--8---8--8---8--8---6--6---------------
E---6--6---6--6---6--6----------------------

The little bit at the end can be played as individual notes,
or whilst still holding the D#, if your fingers are agile
enough.

chorus:
Tacoland
We ate a lot of figs
They passed around a bottle
And we took a lot of swigs

chorus2:
It's nature's plan
To go on
Down to Tacoland

Outro:
-----
Bb
Tacoland
     F D# Bb
Just three quarters of a mile past the Rockwood exit
F Cm Gm Cm Gm D#
In beautiful downtown San Antonio, Texas

Ending: (single strums)
------
Bb A A/Bb

And play that last slide up with the same guitar as the Chorus2 part.
