The bass makes this song... Well, the bass and the great
screaming "Nancy Sinatra" part... And the Portland bit. :)

The guitar in the verse is hardly audible and definitely
secondary. I don't have a bass myself, so this is an
approximation, but should be pretty damn close. The only
trouble I had was that you need that lower D in there, so
you're going to have to tune your lower E down to a D.

For the guitar part, just play E and D bar chords (x79997
and x57775 respectively, just in case you were wondering),
where indicated above the bass riff. You could play it
higher up, but these are the right notes I think. The
timing, as always, is an approximation. There's some quick
notes in there, so just try and fit as many of them in as
possible.
