THE DEAD MILKMEN
Epic Tales Of Adventure

from Metaphysical Graffiti

Tabbed by: Ben Gladdle (moose9377@hotmail.com)

This is pretty easy. Just listen for the rhythm for the Em
chord. That's the only slightly different bit. I haven't done
the accordion solo, but I will tab it for guitar some time...
Solos are for when I'm feeling especially good, cause they
always give me a headache and make me hate the song for a
couple of weeks, cause I generally have to listen to them 30
or 40 times in a row. Eww. :)

Verse:
-----
Em
There's an old lady who washes her clothes
In the same laundromat as me
    C
She told me of her son
         Em
And some shoes that hurt his feet
Mean little nails rose up in a bunch
    C
And plunged into his soles
Em
Filling dirty socks
     G Em Bm
With tiny bloody holes

Chorus:
------
     C F Bb Em
It's shoes and it's feet and the end of the world
     G
It's shoes and it's feet and the end of the world
Em Bm
Shoes and it's feet and the end of the world
     C F Bb Em
It's shoes and it's feet and the end of the ....

verse:
There's an old man who said that he came
from the same town as my dad
He told me of his house
and why it smelled so bad
Small furry creatures had crawled in the spaces
in between the walls
Died and they decayed
well I guess that's really all

chorus:
It's small furry creatures and the end of the world
It's small furry creatures and the end of the world
Small furry creatures and the end of the world
It's small furry creatures and the end of the world

Instrumental: (accordion solo with these chords)
------------
C G Bb A
F Em F Em
C G Bb A
F Em F Em

verse:
There is a man who told me a story about a conspiracy
He told me how it started and what it meant to me
Doctors and lawyers and bankers and priests are
Controlled by U.F.O.s (x2)
It's doctors and lawyers and the end of the world
Bankers and priests and the end of the world

chorus:
It's doctors and lawyers and the end of the world
It's doctors and lawyers and the end of the world
It's bankers and priests and the end of the world
It's doctors and lawyers and the end of the...

Note: The verse and chorus before this point sort of merge together.
However, if you keep in your mind the way I've divided it above,
the chords should be exactly the same as the previous verses and
choruses. There's a solo in there somewhere which I haven't done
yet, but if you just play the chords over the background it will
  be fine for now.

verse:
There's an old lady who washes her clothes
In the same laundromat as me
She told me of her son and some SHOES!

End on C.
