Just think Bm! Just listen to the strumming pattern, and you'll get it easy. There's only a few other chords in it. ------------------------------------------------------------------- intro: Bm verse: Bm All the stores have Anything you want In this big scary place In this big scary place Everyone forms lines Where you stand and wait In this big scary place In this big scary place pre-chorus: A The days inch along And you lose track of time Bm In this big scary place A Always a lot to do But it's easier in your mind Bm In this big scary place chorus: G Big scary place F#m There's too much space G There's not enough space Bm In this big scary place verse: You can go outside If you really want In this big scary place In this big scary place But when you see The eye in the sky Make sure you hide In this big scary place pre-chorus: The days inch along And you lose track of time In this big scary place Always a lot to do But it's easier in your mind In this big scary place chorus: Big scary place There's too much space There's not enough space In this big scary place verse: Everywhere you go Everything you do Everything you know Everything you knew Is swallowed alive Devoured by time Right from your mind In this big scary place pre-chorus: Move down the street Only shadows form In this big scary place Lock the door tight From the outside light In this big scary place chorus: Big scary place There's too much space There's not enough space In this big scary place The "solo" bit here is pretty simple... something like the following, repeated quite a lot. It's even got the solos (though they are basically the same) which are also pretty easy. Verse: ----- Em G D He would sit in the class and dream While the teacher lectured Until the school bell would ring He'd be President Philosopher king Chorus: ------ G (with bass walk up - A B C#) D D A He was a dreamer, he was a creator He would dream what he wished to be He was a God, he was a creator He fell in love with a mystery verse: He made up rock bands and TV stations He invented the music He invented the shows He would lie on his bed at night Spinning records on his chest while he sang chorus: I am your God, I am your creator But you can do what you want to do I am your God, I am your creator You can love me or hate me It's up to you Solo: (And what a solo it is *cough*) ---- 1:12 E---9-9-9--9--9--9--9--10--9--7------------- B------------------------------------------- G------------------------------------------- D------------------------------------------- A------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------- 1:16 E---9-9-9--9--9--9--9--10--9--12---14-12---- B------------------------------------------- G------------------------------------------- D------------------------------------------- A------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------- 1:20 E---9-9-9--9--9--9--9--10--9---------------- B-----------------------------8------------- G------------------------------------------- D------------------------------------------- A------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------- 1:23 E---9-9-9-10-9-12-9-10-9--12--14--12--9----- B------------------------------------------- G------------------------------------------- D------------------------------------------- A------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------- 1:29 E--10--12--15--14--17--17-14-17-14---------- B------------------------------------------- G------------------------------------------- D------------------------------------------- A------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------- 1:33 E---17--14----14--15--14--12---14-/-10------ B------------------------------------------- G------------------------------------------- D------------------------------------------- A------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------- 1:37 E------------------------------------------- B---7-7-7-7-8-7----------------------------- G----------------9--11---7------------------ D------------------------------------------- A------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------- 1:42 E------------------------------------------- B---7-7-7-7-8-7---------10------------------ G----------------9---11------7-------------- D------------------------------------------- A------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------- 1:45 E------------------------------------------- B------------------------------------------- G---some sort of incomprehensible bits :)--- D------------------------------------------- A------------------------------------------- E------------------------------------------- verse: Then one night Some people landed a spaceship In his bedroom and he got in They took him to the land that he created And tied him to a tree and killed him chorus: He was their God, He was their creator To others that created them(?) Note that in the first verse, you play the A and B chords several times. In the other verses, you only play them once each, and the bass carries the verse. However, I haven't managed to pick the bass out yet, so you'll have to make do with this. E D# Please let me tell you, A A They own our homes, they own our banks A A We take out loans to buy them tanks B B They own our children, they own our pets B B They owned Elvis and Bernhard Goetz A A They own our rugs and our flower pots A A There ain't nothin' they haven't got B B They own the papers and the TV's B B The water works, record companies Let me remind you, They own the talk shows They make the rules They own Geraldo and Donahue They own the state, they own the church They pick the winners on Star Search They own the Christians, they own the Jews They own the Mormons, Moslems too They put the holes in our socks They put that snake in my mail box E D# B G# From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli B C# E We are all tools of the conspiracy E D# B G# From the littlest baby to the biggest V.I.P. We are all tools of the conspiracy Run to the window, they're coming to get you Hide in the basement, they're coming to get you Flee to the rooftop, they're coming to get you Don't go outside, no don't let them get you From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli We are all tools of the conspiracy From the littlest baby to the biggest V.I.P. We are all tools of the conspiracy End on E. 6 - How It's Gonna Be --------------------- Missing 7 - All Around The World ------------------------ This is another one where the bass makes it a little hard to hear all the chords correctly. Normally I tab stuff out by playing bass notes along with the song and then playing the chords. However, if you do that here, it won't quite sound right. The G-Bm sequence at the end of a lot of lines doesn't sound right at all if you're playing bass notes, but the chords do fit. I think the bass goes D-Bm-G-F#, but I've left it the way it is, because this is the guitar tab, not the bass. I will try and do the bass soon, because I think it might clear a few things up. However, having said that, for once I think the solo is pretty much perfect note for note! Maybe. :) Chords: ------ C C/B Em G G Bm F Am D D/C D/B D/A E---0--0--0--3----3--2--1--0--2--2---2---2----- B---1--1--0--3----3--3--1--1--3--3---3---3----- G---0--0--0--4-or-0--4--2--2--2--2---2---2----- D---2-(2)-2--5----0--4--3--2--0--0---0---0----- A---3--2--2--5----2--2--3--0-----3---2---0----- E---------0--3----3-----1---------------------- Verse: ----- C C/B C Em G Bm G Bm There are people who want to kill me all around the world C C/B C Em G Bm G Bm There are people who want to kill me all around the world Chorus: ------ F C I know about the UFO's G Em C I know about the UFO's Am F C G Bm G Bm I know some things I know I shouldn't know verse: I know a woman who can see all around the world I know a woman who can see all around the world chorus: The world is full of electric signals That only she can seem to see And she tells me heaven's angels are watching over me Bridge: ------ D C There's a radio wired to my brain D C An experiment I can't explain D C I can hear the sounds of UFO's D D/C D/B D/A I can hear the sounds of souls crying Note: The D/C etc chords are just a D with a C, B and A respectively on the bass. If you have a bass player, he just plays the C, B and A notes and your guitarist plays a straight D chord right through. However, if you're on your own, it sounds cool if you do the bass notes yourself. See at the top of the tab for the chords to play this part. Hit the bass C note with your little finger in the D/C, and reach over with your thumb for the B note in the D/B. If I just confused you, please mail me and ask! verse: We are trapped inside a prison all around the world We are trapped inside a prison all around the world chorus: And we're the ones who hold the keys We are our own worst enemies We are trapped inside a prison all around the world Solo: (with verse chords) ---- (2:28) C C/B C Em E-----------------------5/7-7-8-8-7---7------ B---------------5/8-8/10------------8-------- G-------5/7-7/9------------------------------ D-------------------------------------------- A-------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------- (2:33) G Bm G Bm E-------8p7--10----8p7--10--8p7--10----8p7--10-------- B-----------8----------8--------8----------8---------- G----------------------------------------------------- D----------------------------------------------------- A----------------------------------------------------- E----------------------------------------------------- (2:38) C C/B C Em E-----------------------5/7-7-8-8-7---7------ B---------------5/8-8/10------------8-------- G-------5/7-7/9------------------------------ D-------------------------------------------- A-------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------- (2:43) G Bm G Bm E-------8p7------------------------------------------- B-----------8----------------------------------------- G-------------7----4h5p4------------------------------ D------------------------5-------5-----5------5h7p5--- A----------------------------5h7---5h7----5h7--------- E----------------------------------------------------- Chorus+: ------- F C I know about the UFO's G Em C I know about the mind controls Am F C G Bm G Bm I know some things I know I shouldn't know F C G Em C I know about the UFO's Am F C G Bm G Bm G Bm G Bm I know some things I know I shouldn't know Am F C G I know some things I know I shouldn't know End on G. 8 - Silly Dreams ---------------- Tabbed by: ? Solo by: Ben Gladdle (moose9377@hotmail.com) Not sure who did this, but I've just rearranged it and added the words to it for those who aren't sure where the chords go. And I think open chords are best for this. Oh, and now I've added the solo as well. Cool. I've called that bit the verse, but I'm sure you can figure out what's going on. Intro: (no chords) ----- I said "Let's do it man, Let's torch the whole village!" Verse: ----- Bm F Just the two chords for the verse, but with the following lead occasionally... It's not actually on guitar (sounds like a recorder or something!), but it's transcribed for guitar. It now has the solo, as well. Hurrah. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Intro/Verse: ----------- C F C F C Bb F Bb Are we not the living proof of the idiot God who placed us here C Bb F G Are we not his dirty children, his unwashed sons who he holds dear Chorus: ------ C F Are we not the proof that there may've been another creator C F If this is the ultimate truth, it had to come out sooner or later C Bb I've looked for the reason why we're here F Bb I've kept on searching 'til it was clear C Bb I've looked for excuses-I can find no other F G We must be the product of God's kid brother Other Bit: --------- Bb Their ivy halls are closed to us Dm We scrape to survive and we taste the dust Bb The things that we weren't meant to know F Are spoke of in places where we can't go Bb So don't tell me you still find it hard to believe F G That we were made by a different God chorus: Are we not the proof that there may've been another creator Let's run to the volcano and toss a virgin in the crater I've looked for the reason why we're here I've kept on searching 'til it was clear I've looked for excuses-I can find no other We must be the product of God's kid brother Solo: (with verse/chorus chords) ---- (1:18) E-------------------------------------------- B----------5-5-5-5-5--5---------------------- G--------7---------------7--5--7---5--------- D-------------------------------------7------ A-------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------- (1:23) E------------------5------------------------- B----------5-5-8-8---8----------------------- G------5-7---------------7--5--7---5--------- D-------------------------------------7------ A-------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------- (1:28) E--------------------------------------------------- B----------5--5------------5------------------------ G------5-7-------7-5-7---5---8-8-8-8--8-7-5--------- D-------------------------------------------7------- A--------------------------------------------------- E--------------------------------------------------- (1:33) E---------------------------------------------------- B----------5-----------------------8-----8-8-10-8---- G------5-7---7-5-7---5-7-8-8-8-7-5------------------- D-------------------------------------5-------------- A---------------------------------------------------- E---------------------------------------------------- other bit: Their ivy halls are closed to us We scrape to survive and we taste the dust The things that we weren't meant to know Are spoke of in places where we can't go So don't tell me you still find it hard to believe That we were made by a different God verse: Maybe there are two Gods A perfect God who made all those perfect people, And another God who made the rest of us. And maybe, just maybe, somewhere there's a heavenly choir That sings off key chorus: Are we not the proof that there may've been another creator We'll dodge our way through life and hope for something greater I've looked for the reason why we're here I've kept on searching 'til it was clear I've looked for excuses-I can find no other We must be the product of God's kid brother End on C. 11 - If I Had A Gun ------------------- Pretty easy, but one of my favourite tunes from Soul Rotation. And I've even done the solos (ok, there's only one really, they're both the same) for you! How nice am I? Verse: ----- Short sharp chords (don't let ring... staccato if that means anything to you) on the off beat. Like so... Bass is shown as the single notes. Bm G Bm E----2---2---2---2---3---3---2---2-- B----3---3---3---3---3---3---3---3-- G----4---4---4---4---4---4---4---4-- D----4---4---4---4---5---5---4---4-- A--2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2---5---5-2-2-2-2-- E------------------3-3-3-3---------- Pretty easy to get the hang of really, just listen to the record. BTW, the intro is just the same rhythm etc, but just with Bm. Chorus: ------ G Bm If I .......... had a gun G Bm If I had a gun D G D If I .......... had a gun G D If I had a gun G Bm If I had a gun There's some different strumming here, but again, just listen along and it should be pretty easy to follow. However, if you still need help, mail me. Solo: ---- OK. There are two solos, one that starts at 1:11, and another at the end of the song which starts at 2:07. However, they are note-for-note the same, so here we go... For all the pull-offs at the start, I guess you could just hammer back on to the 7, but it sounds better if you start each one with a distinct picked note. The chords above the tab are what should be played in the background (if you've got another guitarist). Bm G Bm B------------------------------------------------- G--7p6-7p6-7p6-7p6-7p6-7p6-7p6-7p6--7--6---------- D-----------------------------------------9-9----- Bm G D B-------------------------------------------7--- G--7p6-7p6-7p6-7p6-7p6-7p6-7p6-7p6--7--6-------- D-----------------------------------------9----- G Bm G Bm G Bm G A B--8-7---7-------------7-------------7-------------|------ Last bit G------9---7---7-9-7-6---7---7-9-7-6----7-6--4-----|------ only on 1st D----------------------------------------------5---|-/-7-- time through The solos do end differently, though. On the 1st time through, end it as shown above. Second time round, end it (and the song) with a single Bm chord. Lyrics and song structure follow below, if you need it. Lyrics: ------ verse: Would I be amused? Would you be impressed? If I had the power To put a hole into your chest? When the kids are crying And the welfare check's been spen Would I rob a liquor store To get some money for the rent? chorus: If I had a gun? (x5) verse: Would I start smoking Marlboros? Would I stop smoking Kents? Would I gain some new respect? Would I gain some confidence? Would I suddenly go crazy And shoot my family And see myself years later On some crime show on TV chorus: If I had a gun? (x5) solo: verse: Would I wear it in a holster? Would I keep it concealed? Would I put it on the table Everytime that I'm misdealed? When I hear a nearby gunshot When I'm up at night alone Would I feel a little safer Here in my urban home chorus: If I had a gun? (x5) solo: End on Bm. 12 - Here Comes Mr. X --------------------- A pretty simple one, really. Use bar chords throughout, except for the verse, where you should use a low "open" E (022100). No other tricky stuff here either. Verse: ----- E G E G Here he comes, he's coming down the street E G E G With his drunken wife and the kids he beats D A D A He's gonna tell you that life is hard E G E G And then he'll dump his trash in your backyard E G E G You'll hear lots of jokes about the racially pure D A D A When Mr. X moves in next door Chorus: ------ G D A E Just take a walk on the ignorant side G D A E And you'll get to see what goes on in his mind G D A E Just take a walk on the ignorant side G D A And you'll get to see through his eyes verse: There he goes, now he's on the lawn With his Sans-a-Belt pants and his Hush Puppies on The sky is blue and the bees are buzzin' He must be the product of those two first cousins He's got a rifle and a low I.Q. He doesn't close his mouth when he chews his food Bridge: ------ G A Oh, please, dear God, strike him dead E D Aim a lightning bolt straight through his head G A Oh, please, Reverend Sun Yung Moon E D Send someone to kill him soon G A Oh, Mohammed, Prophet of Allah E D Run him over in his own Impala G A Oh, please, kill him, Shirley MacLaine E D Take a pipe and bash in his brain verse: Here he comes, he's driving 'round the block Sticking pamphlets in your mailbox Inviting your kids to an Aryan Youth Camp Moving his ammo when the basement gets damp Training his dog to attack your cat Hitting your mower with a baseball bat chorus: Just take a walk on the ignorant side (take a walk) And you'll get to see what goes on in his mind Just take a walk on the ignorant side And you'll get to see through his eyes verse: Here he comes into your life With about as much charm as a Bowie knife He'll swim in your pool when you're not home And steal your tools and your garden gnomes Here he comes, he's coming down the street With his drunken wife and the kids he beats End on E. 13 - Shaft In Greenland ----------------------- The only bit I'm not entirely sure of is the B with a question mark (not obvious) in the chorus. The B doesn't sound quite right, but nothing else does either! For the verse, play that ska rhythm that they often use. I'm sure you can figure it out. Verse: ----- D#m A#m D#m A#m The world's full of danger You do what you can You'll feel like a stranger Like Shaft in Greenland Chorus: ------ F# C# Travel around and meet all the people B Don't be afraid to touch them lightly F# B? Travel around and meet all the people C# E B D#m Speak to them so politely Travel around and meet all the people Don't be afraid to shake their hands Travel around and meet all the people See how it feels to be Shaft in Greenland verse: The world is your oyster So rake in the clams And have an adventure Like Shaft in Greenland chorus: Travel around and see the tundra Don't be afraid to get out of your car Travel around and see the tundra A little bit of Shaft goes real far Travel around and see the tundra Dig for dinner in the cold, damp sand Travel around and see the tundra See how it feels to be Shaft in Greenland verse riff: Bridge: ------ F# A#m B He was big and bad, so he traveled to Greenland F# A#m D#m He was big and bad, so he traveled to the land of the midnight sun F# A#m B He was big and bad, so he traveled to Greenland F# A#m D#m He was big and bad, so he traveled to a land B Where it always snowed and nobody got a tan verse: The world is a ghetto A rusted tin can So pack a stiletto Like Shaft in Greenland Fade out.
