THE DEAD MILKMEN Punk Rock Girl from Beelzebubba Tabbed by: Ben Gladdle (moose9377@hotmail.com) This is kind of similar to the one in OLGA, but in what sounds to me like the right key, and with a couple of additions. Thanks to Jim for giving me the chords way back in high school, and to Matt Ransford for his other transcription that cleared up the confusion of the intro chords, unfortunately only after I'd spent hours trying to figure them out. Mine's only got a couple of very small differences (mainly the F on the 4th line of each verse). Also if you've got an accordion just go nuts on it, I'm sure it'll sound great. :) This song now has the solo! The solo was quite tricky to get started on, but I think I've got it right, except for one little bit where there's a couple of quick notes. However, it should certainly get you through the song just fine. Intro: ----- F F F Dm F F Dm F Bb F C F F ^ For some idea of the timing of the intro, just listen to the recording. Much easier to hear it than to resort to my feeble attempt at an explanation. (Little bass walk-down at the ^ at the end of the intro. Do the same at the end of pretty much every verse) F F (start of verse) G|-------------------|-------------| D|-------------------|-------------| A|--------3--1-------|-------------| E|-1------------5--3-|-1------....-| Verse: ----- F Bb F One Saturday I took a walk to Zipperhead Bb C I met a girl there and she almost knocked me dead Dm Bb Punk rock girl - please look at me F Bb (Punk rock girl) what do you see? There's a couple of quick notes missing where I've put ???, but I think it'll do. If you've got another guitar, just play the verse chords where shown above the tab.
