No guild laws have currently been drafted, however, all DM members regardless of alignment are expected to behave in an honorable manner at all times. This includes not begging for money, help or items. DMs are known for being self-sufficient...if a member needs something, they are welcome to ask guild mates and if they have it available or are free to help get it, they will be happy to...that's part of being a DM. If they don't have it or are busy with something at the moment, that's the end of it however. They'll help when they're able. Do not expect us to babysit you or come running everytime you call for help leveling. We will help from time to time, that's what we're here for, but only if you really need the help, not just because you're impatient to level. This is not a race to get as high as you can as fast as you can. If you do that, the game just gets boring in a hurry....trust us : )
Selling items between guild members is forbidden. If a guild mate has a spare of something someone else needs, it's their's. That's the way we've always done things, and we're not going to change that. Which leads to the next paragraph...
DM is first and foremost a family. We support each other as much as possible, we play by the rules, and we don't hesitate to die for one another if the situation calls for it. That's part of what makes us special...we're more than just people wearing a tag. Due to the more difficult nature of getting around in this game than in others we've been active in, members aren't expected to drop what they're doing at a moment's notice to come to the aid of another member as usually there's not as much at risk and it takes a while to get anywhere, but members are expected to render aid whenever possible as we always have been.
New : DM members are required to have all of their playing characters tagged. Mules are excepted from this rule, but if a mule is later converted into a playing character, tags must be added to it too, at the owning member's cost. Abyssnet rules require a fee of 50,000 gold to add guild tags...the guild will pay for having the DMU tags added, and a member will earn the required 100,000 gold required to change the tags from DMU to DM by completing the guild quests required for the change...for which they are responsible. The guild will then pay for the changes to other characters (than the member's main one) as the DM tags only have to be earned by one character. The rest of the player's characters automatically recieve the DM tags at that point. However, if a member later decides to convert a mule into a playing character, they, not the guild, are responsible for paying for the tag additon at that time.
Once a High Council and High Overlord are in place, they will draft a set of guild laws, which will then be voted on to be ratified by the guild. We will do both of these by voting in the Voting Booth here on the website. Ballot stuffing will not be permitted ::G::. At that time this page will be updated with the laws. Until then, remember our guild motto...May Honor Sharpen Your Steel!
