"piggy" coin holders are very fun and pretty easy to make. You need: - a margerine container - 2 different colors of paint - a piece of construction paper that is the same colour as one of the colours of paint - an old sponge that you can cut into a little shape - a black marker
Instuctions: clean the margerine container so that there is no extra margerine in it. Then paint the inside, outside and bottom of the margerine container any colour that you choose. When it has dried, cut the sponge into any shape you wish. Then dip the sponge into the other colour of paint. Slowly press the sponge around and inside the pig to make a "sponge paint" effect. Allow the paint to dry. As the paint is drying, you can cut out 2 little pig ears, a little curly pig tail, 2 pig eyes and a nose out of the constuction paper. Then, once you have cut the nose and eyes out, use the black marker to make nostrils and black circles on the construction paper circles for better eyes. After all the construction paper pieces have been finished and cut out, glue them on to the pig where the belong. Example, eyes and nose at one end and the tail at the other. |
