But anyway I thought i would put up some thoughts from an email that i got a while back.
I've learned- that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.
I've learned- that it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned- that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I've learned- that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned- that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you are to learn to forgive yourself.
I have been thinking lately and I think that many people give themselves an injustice by not acknowledging their gifts. Many people do not realize what they have to offer the world. I believe that each person has something special to offer the world. Although sometimes it might not be what we want or as glamorous as the next person's gifts, we should still be happy for what we have. What we each can offer to the world is what makes each of us unique. -daniel |

I have been thinking about things again and so I have decided to type some more of my thoughts at the bottom of this page...I am just typing as I think...so if it appears random and wierd...you know why.
Relationships are a wierd thing that I think people don't often think about logically. I don't believe that people think about relationships with other people as work or at least some amount of effort. If you were to continue this line of thinking you would realize that you can only handle a certain amount of work in relationships just like anything else. (this whole part so far is spawning off a convo I had the other day with my friend Amy) So I guess your wondering what this means...well, i don't really know. I haven't totally thought out what I want to say. I just think that people shouldn't take on too much or, on the other hand, acknoledge the fact that if you want more out of a relationship you should put more effort.
I realize that this might sound trite or even like common sense, but I see people, myself included, making mistakes in there relationships with other people. I know that most people know this anyway, but I think that it helps to be reminded sometimes.

JOKE: Two couples were at a hotel and the guys went to the bar for a drink before they went to bed. One guy bet the other guy that he could have sex with his wife more times than the other guy. They agreed that the next morning they would order as many pieces of toast as they had had sex with their wife the night before. The next morning the first guy said, "I'll have 6 pieces of toast!" The other guy said, "I'll have seven pieces of toast, make two of then brown!" |
