| PRAYER FOR PERSEVERANCE O Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and life-giving fountain of eternal life, infinite treasue of the Divinity, and glowing furnace of Love, You are my refuge and my sanctuary. O adorable and glorious Savior, consume my heart with that burning fire that ever inflames Your Heart. Pour down on my soul those graces whcih flow from Your love. Let my heart be so united with Yours that our wills may be one, and mine may in all things be conformed to Yours. May Your Will be the rule of both my desires and my actions. |

| ACT OF DEDICATION OF THE HUMAN RACE TO CHRIST THE KING Most Sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before You. We are Yours, and Yours we wish to be; but to be more surely united with You, behold, each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Your Most Sacred Heart. Many indeed have never known You; many, too, despising Your precepts, have rejected You. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Your Sacred Heart. Be King, O LOrd, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken You, but also of the prodigal children who have abondoned You; frant they they may quickly return to their Father's house, lest they die of wretchedness and hunger. Be King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and the unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one Shepherd. Grant, O Lord, to Your Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give tranquility of order to all nations; make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry; Praise to the divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to it be glory and honor forever, Amen. |
| PRAYER OF CONSECRATION TO THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS O Jesus, we know that you are gentle, and that you have given your heart for all of us. It was crowned with thorns and with our sins. Oh, we know that nowadays you beg us not to be lost. Jesus, remember us when we sin. Through your most holy heart give us grace to love each other. Let hatred disappear from the people. Show your love. We all love you, and wish you to protect us with your shepherd's heart from every sin. Come into every heart, O Jesus, knock, knock on our hearts. Be patient and untiring. We are still closed because we have not yet understood your will. Knock perseveringly. O good Jesus, Make us open our hearts to you, at least when we remember your passion endured for us. Amen. |
