The Sacred Heart of Jesus is a religious devotion to Jesus physical heart. A divine love for humanity.
Marie Alacoque, a French nun learned about this devotion from Jesus in visions.
The picture is often deplicted as a flaming heart, pierced by a sword, and surrounded by a crown of thorns, and bleeding. The wounds and crown represent Jesus death, and the fire love. The Feast of the Sacred Heart is always celebrated 19 days after Pentacost. |

Meaning the Body of Christ, is a feast in honor of the Holy Eucharist. Orginally on the Thurs. following Trinity Sunday, mirroring Holy Thursday, the day on which Jesus instituted the Holy Eucharist. Established due to partitions of the 13th century. Augustinian nun Juliana of Leige. From her youth she claimed God had been instructing her to establish a feast day for the Eucharist and later in life petitioned the Dominican Hugh of St CHer, Jacques Pantaleon and Robert de Thorete., Bishop of Leige. this feast became widespread during Pope Urban IV investigating claims of a miracle in which blood came from a host. The new liturgy for the celebration was written by Thomas Aquinas. In 2007, Corpus Christi will be celebrated on June 7th. |

Is an event reported in the Gospels in which Jesus was transfigured upon a mountain. The gospels state that Jesus led three apostles, Peter, James, and John to pray at the top of the moutain. Once at the top, Jesus became transfigured, his face shining light the sun, and his clothes a brillant white. They claimed Elijah & Moses suddenly appeared with Jesus and talked with him. Matthew and Marks' gospel don't say what they spoke about, but Luke states that it was about Jesus' future death. Then a bright cloud overshadowed them and a voice from the cloud "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased" Like what was said at Jesus' Baptism except the words "hear Him" was added. It is believed that this happened on Mt. Tabor. Jesus and the apostles desend the mt. Jesus tells his apostles, to keep this secret until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead. It is referenced in the Book of Malachi that Elijah would appear before the Messiah. The feast of Transfiguartion commemorates this event. Observed on August 6th. |

Holds that Jesus bodily ascended to heaven in the presence of his apostles, following his Ressurection. It is affirmed in Christian liturgy in the Apostle's Creed and the Nicene Creed (See prayers) The description in Mark, Jesus and the remaining 11 apostles are seated at a table. Jesus commands his apostles to spread the word, and those who believe will be known by their invulnerability to poison, ability to heal the sick, exorcise demons and the like. Jesus is then received into heaven to sit at the right hand of God. The Gospel of Luke on says Jesus led the 11 to Bethany,.. while in the act of blessing them, Jesus was carried to Heaven. References in the bible; John 6: Jesus asks the Jews "if then you shall see the son of Man ascend up where He was before." and John 20 He says to Mary Magdalen "Do not touch me, for I am not yet ascended to my Father, but go to My brethen, and say to them: I ascend to the Father and to your Father, to My God and to your God" In Esphisians and in Timothy, the Ascension of Christ is spoken of as an accepted fact. The Ascension is one the great feasts of the luturgical calendar, and commemorates Jesus Ascension into heaven. Ascension Day is always on a Thursday (fortieth day of Easter)

The feast is a holy day in the liturgical calendar. Referenced from Psalm 23, Matthew 23 and Corinthians 15. Pope Pius XI instituted this feast day on Dec 11th 1925,. At that time he saw the rise of athestic communism, and secularism as a direct result of man's turning away from CHrist's Kingship. This result was disorder or a move away from the Divine Order. The Feast is set for the last Sunday of October.
