They rapidly grew in stature and realised that the Protestant/Loyalist people still required defenders, so they took the war to the enemies of Ulster. A few media reports described some attacks as indiscriminate but it widely believed that all of these targets where at the very least fringe members of violent Irish Nationalist terror organisations and where heavily involved in the murder and intimidation of Protestants. In a recent statement they said "Ordinary Catholics have nothing to fear from us, we will only hit legitimate targets."
