Managed the migration of Workforce Reporting & Analytics application from Business Object XIR4 to Microstrategy 10.4

Managed the development of new Micorstrategy 10.4 dashboards with rich visualization of information for Campus Recruiting and Lateral Recruiting Analytics.

Senior Project Manager

January 2010 - December 2015
Citigroup

Managed the process re-engineering design, architecture, development, testing and implementation of Citi’s Compensation and Benefits application. The implementation of the new system to replace a 15 year old legacy application positioned the Benefits and Compensation executives at Citi to successfully support the company’s complex /special compensation programs/agreements to motivate, attract and keep high performing talents in the company. The process re-engineering effort enabled the business to reduce the historical staff supporting the compensation system by 50%.

Provided a realized annual cost save of $500K that used to be allocated for an external vendor to support the management of Deferred Cash awards. The elimination of external vendors from being involved in the company’s compensation processes minimized/eliminated the security risk of sensitive compensation information being exposed outside of the company. CERA has been managing an annual vesting and delivery of around $250 million worth awards to participant/Citi employees since go-live of the Deferred Cash module in 2012

Managed and collaborated with external vendors to convert and migrate more than 2 million paper documents into soft copies of the documents which are then indexed and stored within a Documentum repository to facilitate a more efficient and a more cost effective way of managing ”hard copies” of compensation and benefit related documents. The imaging strategy also utilized Kofax to support uploading and indexing new paper documents. The completion of the project eliminated the need to keep 90 file cabinets which consumes significant real estate space and improves the time for the business to search for compensation related documents through the Documentum repository as opposed to manually searching paper document through file cabinets. This project results in an annual business savings of around $100K as a result of less real estate usage and more efficient way of searching and processing compensation and benefits related documents.

Managed the design, architecture, development and implementation of the new “re-engineered” business process to collect tax rates and tax allocations for the annual bulk vesting process which historically takes 90 days to complete down to 2 weeks. This was achieved through the implementation of a streamlined business process using Oracle BPM, JRules and Java with Oracle 11g DB backend.

Collaborated and partnered with external vendors (Ernst & Young) to leverage E&Y’s Stock Mobility System (E&Y SMS) web service, a specialized tax calculation software service which supports tax calculation procedures across the various countries where Citi have a presence. This software service also supports complex tax calculation involving individuals having tax liabilities across multiple countries. Provided input to perform the build versus buy analysis which lead to the decision that it makes more economical sense for Citi to partner with E&Y instead of building the multi-country tax calculation software that E&Y have already available.

Managed the design, development, testing and implementation of the User Interface/User Experience for various user roles interacting with the system such as Participants (Citi employees), Equity Compensation Unit, Country Coordinators, Regional Coordinators, Global Mobility Unit, Information Security Administrators and Service Center roles. The Citi Equity Rewards Application (CERA) is supported globally across 108 countries.

Responsible for working with clients in developing the scope, analysis of key business requirements, and influence the development of the functional/technical specifications. These includes creating prototypes, straw man models, use case diagrams and user stories, holding working sessions with the functional/business analysts to capture key business requirements.

Successfully collaborated and partnered with clients, external vendors and internal Operations & Technology Team to execute / coordinate Technology, Compliance and/or Regulatory mandates and initiatives (e.g. Software upgrades, Load Testing team, Continuity of Business / Disaster Recovery Test, Vulnerability Assessment team/Ethical Hacking team, DBA group, UNIX, Oracle BPM STE, Websphere/JRules STE, Ab Initio STE, NDM STE, Documentum STE, SAP Business Objects STE, etc. and Windows SA group).
