BLOOD  AND  ROMANCE
On this page you will find a miscellany of things. Some poems that I have written, on the rare occasion that my Muse has visited me. . Some quotes that have come to mean much to me and some that remind me of special people in my existance. In other words, things that fit nowhere else here in my home.  I hope you enjoy them.
REVERIE
WAITING
A forgotten lifetime compels me to seek you out
Your form most precious
Liquid, sinew, muscle, flesh
Transformed by some clever alchemy
From human to divine
Your body torrid, untamed
Filled by an easy grace
Summons such ecstacy
From its secret home
As I have only dreamed
As I have never known.

For Armand.. March 18th 2001
Crushed leaves a pillow for his head
The breeze a blanket for his bed
Death fades the lines of pain and hate
Smoothes like a babe who'll soon awake
But yet he slumbers, does not stir
As though in dreams quite unaware
No breath lifts up his chest so smooth
No heartbeat urges him to move.
His parted lips await the taste
To lift him from the human race
Cold marble lover looming near
Embrace the night. Your fate lays here.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people become friends and stay a while, leaving beautiful footprints on our hearts and we are never quite the same.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow a mystery.
Today is a gift.
That's why it's called the present
Live and savor every moment.
Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night
Edgar Allan Poe
A man is not completely born until he be dead....    Benjamin Franklin
Dying is a wild night and a new road... Emily Dickinson
SANCTUARY

Sheltered in your arms my fears diminished
Safe in your embrace courage returned
How strange it seems that I have found my sanctuary
Enveloped in the refuge of deaths grasp.

For my Maker. March 2001
Profit from the fairest period in your life; these golden years of our pleasure are only too few and too brief. If we are so fortunate as to have enjoyed them, delicious memories console and amuse us in our old age. These years lost... and we are wracked by bitterest regrets, gnawing remorse conjoins with sufferings of age and the fatal onset of the grave is all tears and brambles... But have you the madness to hope for immortality?..    Marquis de Sade
Nature causes none to smile along virtue's muddy track...... Marquis de Sade
The night hath been to me a more familiar face than that of man, and in her starry shade of dim and solitary loveliness I learned the language of another world.         Lord Byron
If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost. Now put the foundations under them.
Henry David Thoreau
Tout s'en va. Tout passe. L'eau coule et le coeur oublie... Flaubert
