A pair of pink unicorns - a mare and her foal - the new mold Breyer Stablemate American Saddlebred mare and her scratching foal. Mare has a remade tail and double sided mane. Her unicorn horn spirals out with assorted metallic tones. The filly in front of her has a sprouting horn added with epoxy. The mare's horn had been questioned as to why it is so long. My answer - size need not matter in the fantasy world and that she is an old girl who's horn has grown with her age, much like the rattle on a rattlesnake - the older the snake, the more segments onn its rattle. Both critters sport copper hooves and pink body hair. Mane and tail on both are a creamy offwhite. I decided on a rough coat look and the filly is spotted like a newborn fawn. Momma has added fetlock hair. This set was created and donated to Christine Othitis in Canada for her NSS Autumn Live Show, October 13, 2001 - in Canada. Unfortunately, they did not make it in time, so Christine is keeping them on hand for next year. |
