I
began customizing models in the mid-1980s - after seeing my first issue
of Just About Horses magazine. I was thrilled to learn that there
was more
than just collecting Breyer horses. My first piece was a
repainted and
haired Breyer Family Arabian Stallion. I named him Illumination -
funny
name for a solid black horse.
I
dabbled in different techniques - starting with acrylics, moving to
oils, and then back to acrylics and touching on pastels.
I
give you this gallery of my work - a little history of what I have done
through the years - from some of my earliest CMs to the live show
quality pieces I am doing today. There is a history spanning many
years and improvements. I have done my best to catalog what I
have created and sold or what I have done that remains in my private
showstring and displaying them here in this gallery,
making whatever notes I could as to the original piece's origin and how
the
final product came about.
