I am a native of Arlington, Texas and returned here to raise my family ten years ago. I am married to my college sweetheart, Scott, and have two children, Sarah and Will. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Marketing, I worked in my field for a few years. When my daughter, Sarah, was born, I became a full-time mom.

When my youngest, Will, started Kindergarten, I started teaching Pre-K at The Primer School in Arlington where both of of my children had attended. A few years later, a kindergarten position opened and I moved over there. I went to UTA and obtained my EC-4 certification in the Spring of 2004. I am continuing to work on my Master's in Teaching. Reading is a passion of mine and nothing thrills me more than helping young children learn to read.

I have been an active participant in PTA since Sarah started school. I think that volunteers can truly enhance a school and make a positive difference. I continue to serve as a volunteer at my children's school.

My family attends First Methodist Church of Arlington. Our faith life is an important aspect of our lives. I am involved in the Student Ministries, as well as an adult Sunday School class.

Both of my children play sports so I spend many hours watching games and events. I love it. I support and volunteer with the Girls' Booster Club at my daughter's junior high.

We have a beautiful German Shephard mix, Gabby, that we rescued two years ago. She is a wonderful addition to our family and I enjoy taking walks with her.
