MavBerlin - Perimeter North
The northern gate of MavBerlin is much like the others. The Maverick presence here is not as great as the west gate, but it can still be felt. You know that every step you take is most likely being monitored by someone, but thats to be expected. The streets here are a little busier as you seem to be nearing a commercial zone, as well as the local teleporter stations. Most reploids seem to be going about their business as usual, though some seem a little nervous with the Maverick occupation. The main steet continues to the next gate on the perimeter, while branching off towards the previously mentioned areas.

Floral Skunk has taken a break from her work on figuring out the botanical needs to revive the city, standing near the teleporter hub in a small gathering with some of the other engineers going over just what they're going to need to get the building back up to specs. Though it's mostly getting the structure stable and then repairing the damaged electronics and security protocols than anything else. The teleporters themselves work, although well guarded.
Clash Bluebird is around the area, taking a careful position as a roaming guard. His rationale? He's cannon fodder to draw out any cocky enemies that think that a Replibird is easy prey. His weapon, however, is not present.
With a flash of light descending from the sky, three individuals plus one drone appears in the Berlin teleporters. The first is none other than Chest, God of all media. The other two are Repliforce bodyguards. Even though Reporto made that body guarding deal nearly a year ago with General, it's rare that Chest has actually taken advantage of it. But in this case, it can't be a bad idea. The two Repliforce gumbies have already radioed ahead, warning of Chest's arrival. The drone that's also appeared is, of course, Chest's ever-faithful camera drone, Camera.
"No, they wouldn't shoot us," Chest says to Camera. Camera beeps and whistles, hoping that maybe, just maybe, Repliforce'll just gun down Chest and leave the drone a-ok. "Because they're not /idiots/, Camera. Sheesh. Now if it was /Interpol/ that had taken over this place... well, maybe I'd be worried. At any rate, we have Frick and Frack here to protect us," Chest jerks a thumb at the body guards, who true to their duty are focusing more on safety than insults. Chest scoots out of the teleporter area, muttering to himself. "This place has seen better days." Just up ahead Chest can see the gathering of Repliforcers. Chest starts heading there.
The media? Aw, Christ. That's not Clash's department, but he can't help but cringe at the thought. He'll let the others handle it. Frick and Frack get apologetic messages from the bird, but other than that, the young Repliforcer's not going anywhere near the media, escorted or not. After all, Floral Skunk just became Corporal...
Floral Skunk continues directing a few things with the engineers, but turns her attention towards the hub as Chest, his guards and the camera-drone come out. "Take care of that, would you please?" One of the other techs nod, and shuffles over to the incoming group, producing a typical medical scanner and sweeping it over them. "Pardon me," he explains as he does so, "Extra safety precausion until we are certain the city has been fully cleared of possible viral contaminations."
Chest takes the medical scan quite well. "Not a problem, my good mech," Chest says with a smile, looking up at the probably big and burly Repliforce technician. "I fully support virus scans. In this day and age we can never be too careful, can we?" Camera beeps to the soldier, telling him to go f--- himself. Thankfully, nobody can understand Camera except for Chest. Neither Chest nor Camera interfere with the scan. Obviously the two body guards allow themselves to be scanned as well. As it's occurring, Chest calmly withdraws a long slender cigar, lighting it in one fluid motion. "So," he asks the tech, "How're things here in Berlin?"
Clash Bluebird takes up a position away from the teleporters, where he can view the goings-on. Curiosity might kill this ca... err, bird, but he might as well learn how this sort of thing is done.
"Busy rebuilding, sir," replies the tech, bowing a bit. "You're all cleared. Thank you." And with that he shuffles off to continue with whatever other duties he may have.
Continue the incoming visitors are being handled properly, Floral focuses on giving out a last few instructions to the small gatheirng of engineers, and then sends them dispersing on their way.

For those just arriving, the Repliforce is hard at work reviving the devastated city. Engineers and soldiers mill about, discussing what's needed to get each building structurally sound once more. Floral seems to be in charge of the effort, though for the moment she's taking a break from the botanical needs and is working on the engineering needs. Chest and his drone Camera have just arrived, and have received a precautionary virus scan. Chest is on his best behavior. Clash is watching.
Chest smiles back at the tech, "No, thank /you/." Chest isn't normally this nice, so one might wonder what's up. Maybe he got all the yelling out of his system last night at Pineapple. Poor poor Pineapple. What a klutz. Or perhaps Chest is just buttering up the Repliforcers for when he starts slinging around questions and the like. Camera beeps a few more R-rated insults at the tech, but Chest ignores him. Scooting inward, he starts peering around at whoever seems to be in charge of this shindig. "Keep your optics peeled, Camera," he mutters to his oh so loyal drone. Camera tells him off in return. Chest's search is taking him in Floral's direction, but he pauses long enough to look over his shoulder, "Thanks for your efforts here, but given that we're in a base of Repliforcers, we should be doing
...just fine. You two can take a break." There, body guards taken care of.
Floral Skunk pulls out her own datapad for a moment, taps a few things into it, and then puts it away again. The military's work is thankless sometimes, but fo those like here, they do it anyways. Leaves rustle as she turns around, her skirt fluttering about her legs briefly before settling again as she turns to the approaching group herself finally. "Hello gentlemen." A pause. "And drone." May as well be nice to all of them.
Clash Bluebird doesn't move too much from his vantage point away from the teleporters, though he does keep his sensors peeled for activity. Can't be too safe in formerly hostile territory.
After landing the Manta a safe distance away and instructing a few of the gumby-types to guard it, the Coalition Construction Crew is heading into the perimeter of the city.
Overclock is not terribly stealthy, but he's at the head of the group all the same. He's at least aware of where the holes in patrols are, having made it back into the city once before after the inital battle. However, he wasn't counting on the damn media to be here, too.
It's just one guy (and Camera) now. Chest has told the Repliforce body guards to hold back for now. Absolutely nothing'll happen here, I'm sure. After pausing long enough to suggest to the General and Mayor of Detroit that they have a formal debate on the subject, Chest smiles and offers a wave with his cigar. "Evening, ma'am. I was wondering if you'd have some time to share Repliforce's plans for the area." Camera whistles something that sounds an awful lot like a catcall. Chest, of course, is not trained to be as perceptive as a soldier when it comes to enemy attacks, and thus doesn't spot Overclock.
Fianait carefully creeps along after Overclock -- sans trademark javelin and her oversized shotgun; since she had planned on not needing either. Her own internal weapons will hopefully suffice should she need them. She's more than willing to let Overclock take the lead; maybe /he/ looks forward to bashing some heads but all she wants to do is get in, get the stone, and get out.
She doesn't want to fight, not here.
[Radio] Tightbeam transmission to Pharaoh Man: You say, "Mr. Mayor, the General is receptive to the idea of a formal debate. I hope you and your lawyers will agree as well that it'd be of benefit to handle it this way rather than competing press releases."
Solstis activates his stealth mode.
[Radio] Tightbeam transmission: Pharaoh Man says, "*Achmed MOhamadan* I will let you know if it is possible. Thank you for your most generous offer, Mister Chest."
Solstis is here...maybe. Or something. Perhaps? He's a stealthy bugger. He might be over there to the side, in fact...he might be listening to Chest talk and wondering why he's picking up tightbeams at this spot. Beyond that? Pfft...he's lazy...he'll let the other Mavs handle it.
[Radio] Tightbeam transmission to Pharaoh Man: You say, "No problem, Mr. Mohamadan. Keep in touch."
Stepping roughly in toe with Fianait, Flame Stag walks behind Overclock as well, probably by far the least stealthy of the group, between his size and two large, fiery antlers. Unlike the other deer, he looks quite prepared for a fight, his hands balled into fists as he steps along at a comfortable--but somewhat protective--distance to the lesser armed member of this little gathering. But for the time being, he defers to Overclock, waiting for him to act before Flame Stag deviates from his walking along behind the cyborg.
Floral Skunk nods her head a bit. "Though I cannot reveal any possibly classified information, we can dicuss the general intentions for restoring Berlin to an inhabitable place." The bioroid's tail twitchs a few times behind her, she's not really the best of social interactions kind of person, but it's part of her job at the moment.
Engineers and soldiers mill about the streets, filling tasks ranging from merely walking patrols to clearing up debris and checking over buildings. So far on the ground, the sneaky Mavericks have gone unnoticed as they sneak between the patrols. Unpo a rooftop though, a survey unit takes notice of an odd group passing below though, and out of curiosity turns his rangefinder in that direction to try and get a closer look...
Chest smiles at Floral, "I wouldn't dare ask you to," he lies. Camera beeps something and would roll its optics were they visible. "Now, first up, is this strictly a humanitarian effort that you're leading here? To rebuild the city to make it habitable for citizens to return to? Or is the plan to establish a new Repliforce facility here where the Spire used to be? Or does the Repliforce believe that there are still traces of Maverick influence here in the area, either in the form of technology, hidden traps, or other secrets?" Chest is about to go on when Camera, by far the more observant of the two right now, beeps something questioningly. Chest looks over to where a survey team has just started heading out, apparently somewhere specific. "Something going on?" Chest asks curiously, craning his neck even though he can't see anything from here.
Overclock doesn't really like being in charge of a mission like this, because he's not cut out for it, and neither are the two people with him, for the most part.
But he keeps his head low, if he possibly can, and heads in past the perimeter. He's confident that if they DO see him, it'll probably be Stag they see first.
Fianait eyes Flame Stag, quite carefully.
He's saved her life before, but in a situation where stealth is very much called for, she's beginning to realize that standing next to someone over twice her size and perpetually on fire isn't very stealthy. Nor, even for his best efforts, is Overclock. Even her own outfit of green and gold stands out rather badly. Perhaps she should have used one of her remaining Interpol uniforms, which would have caused at least a moment's hesitation...
Fianait continues to trail after Overclock, grimly following the winding path towards the Spire. It will take them by the ruined teleporters, of course, but there's no help for it. Have they been noticed? She cups both ears to try and listen in for any patrols getting too close. She'll have to trust Overclock's judgement on when and where the patrols should be, but the near-dead city is utterly unnerving. Repliforce is waiting here, somewhere.
Floral Skunk folds her hands behind her back, mainly to keep from figiting farther. Though she can't really do anything about her tail twitching back and forth. "There is always a possibility of lingering contamination or traps in an area previously held by the enemy. Thus why it must be searched and cleared out before any rebuilding can begin," replies the bioroid. "Though I cannot say if any long term Repliforce facilities will be part of the rebuilding, if there was it would likely be built on a new location. The current site that the 'Spire' occupied is likely less than idealy stable due to damages from the collapse of its previous occupant."
After a few moments adjusting his equipment, the surveyer finally gets a clear look at the unidentified individuals, and it's not a good thing to be seeing. Though warned something like this was a very likely possibility, they weren't expecting it to be so sudden! Quickly he whips out his radio. "This Survey Unit Gamma-Zeta-Alpha. We having sighting of unidentified units entering the city perimeter. I repeat, we have unidentifieds within the perimeter!"
"But overall, it is our intention to restore Berlin to a safe and habitale city for humans and robots alike, though it will take time and considerable work to do so--" Floral stops as rapant buzzing goes off on the radio. Oh, drat. She radios off something in return, but remains near Chest, being he's a civilian and, as much as the world hates to admit it of the usually grouchy robot, important.
Oblivious to the eyeing he's received, or not returning the look at very least, Flame Stag's demeanor suggests that he's perfectly fine with them noticing his presence. Heck, he might even be hoping that they do, as he sure doesn't make much effort to quiet his steps. Although, he hasn't yet noticed that the repliforce is aware of their presence... so he just continues along, waiting until they finally do notice the squad's presence.
Overclock, like Flame, hasn't noticed they've been noticed. If he did, he'd be activating his combat parameters.
He ducks behind a building on the street, trying to get into an alley. There's a low fence behind; the allies and roads are sometimes narrow despite the technological advances made to the city.
Singularity Shrike arrives from the Teleportation Area--MavBerlin.
Singularity Shrike has arrived.
Chest looks away from his fruitless attempt to see what's going on. It's like driving by a car wreck. You wonder what happened, you probably can't see anything, but you look anyway. Chest nods at Floral's complete and utter non-answer. "Well," he says with a smile, "Surely Repliforce Command has given you /some/ hint of their long-term plans for this place. The fact is, this place stirs up a lot of bad emotions for people, and it'd put a lot of worries to rest if they had a solid explanation of what was going to happen. A sense of closure if you know what I mean. Who would be gaining control of Berlin once the place is fixed up, if not Repliforce itself?" Chest pauses as Floral suddenly goes quiet. "Something wrong, Corporal...?" Camera beeps again, trying to get Chest's attention towards the potential action.
Fianait /does/ notice.
This is not because she can see anyone or because she can hear the radio signals -- but what she /can/ hear is the lone surveyer gabbling into his radio. Promptly she bolts up next to Overclock, hissing. "Cover's blown. Someone up on the roofs above us, one or two buildings back. Let's get cracking!"

As Chest inquires as to wether or not something wrong, there is a rather large flash from the nearby Repliforce teleporters.
It's Crescent Grizzly.
The massive cajun bear comes shuffling towards Floral and the reporter, and gives a nod. " Ah've gat' a squad comin' on in, deh' beh' 'ere soon 'nuff. "
The teleporter flashes a second time, as Singularity Shrike does not even wait. They wanted eyes in the sky, they got it. He has his job. A blur of black and yellow whizzes from the teleport pad and immediately heads skyward in a flamboyant corkscrew.
Rush Raccoon is here. Just outside his tent. Reading a book. He's not doing much else. His H.M.G pointed down at the ground, though ready and pointed at the Teleporters. He seems to be enjoying reading his book for now.,
Floral Skunk looks up from her radio as Chest speaks up again. "Please stay put and keep your bodyguards at hand, sir. We have a possible perimeter breach." She'd tell him to leave, but, well, knowing the media they wouldn't listen anyways, so it's best just to take the least argumentive road on the matter.
Patrols are scrambling in responce to the radio calls, the Mavericks have been spotted, but a confirm on their actual location and numbers they're still working on.
Floral sighs a bit, as much as she resents combat, but it too is part of the job. Right arm shifting into weapon mode, the bioroid nods a bit to the big bear as he steps out. "Good. Not quite sure on just what sort of intrusion we may be dealing with yet." She starts to head in the direction of the reported spotting.
Overclock puts his back to the buliding next to him, and glances at Fianait. He didn't hear anything out of the ordinary, but he figures her hearing is better than his in a few ways. He tries to flatten to the wall. "I'll make a break for it," he says, definitively. "If you can handle yourself."
Chest wouldn't listen. Floral is correct. Unless he seriously felt his life was in immediate danger... as if someone was pointing a gun at his face, he wouldn't. The deal he and Sigma worked out two years ago have seen to this. Still, nevertheless, better safe than sorry. "Frick! Frack!" Chest snaps his fingers at his two Repliforce body guard that are most definitely not actually named 'Frick' and 'Frack'. "A breach? Who?" He asks, obviously worried but extremely interested. Then, in a hushed tone as if someone might overhear, "Is it the Mavericks?" Camera beeps a question which Chest ignores. Both Android and drone follow Floral.
(and Reploid body guards)
Damn Skippy. We ain't no twobit mercenary hoes.
Solstis kept on hiding, his body blending in with the coloring about him, his body emitting no noises. He was stealthy...he was...A NINJA!
One good thing about Fianait's size is that while she might squish easily, she can definitely hide. Especially when standing next to someone twice her size. Big people make good shields.
"Split up?" she queries. "I can... probably handle myself. At the very least I'm fast on my hooves; I should be able to lose them if they get onto me. Let's go."
"Hmph." Flame Stag grunts a response when Fianait shares the information that they've been spotted. "I'll hold them off as long as you need to extract our objective." He says, sounding fairly certain about this. He waits until Fianait speaks, before giving a nod, ready to follow her. "I'll escort you far enough to position myself between them and the objective."
Watching Stands grows ears and can now hear.
Agile has left.
Watching Stands takes Agile.
Shrike is giving the entire area a pretty good scan. Not E-Senses good, but definitely not missing much. The years spent in the lab have given Shrike an eye for detail. If he spots anything, however, nothing about his flight path would indicate such.
Overclock nods to Fianait, and starts up his dash-jets, a kick of fire appearing just behind each leg to give him a bit of boost.
Then he runs for the fence at the end of the alley, and, dash-boosted, hops over it. On the other side he might be visible for a moment to any looking, but he's headed for the inner city from here.
Overclock channels power, and charges up his systems to optimize for speed.
Overclock retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Rush Raccoon and Singularity Shrike.
THERE! Shrike was expecting that...the "no flight change" trick was just that: a trick. He generates a small, controllable black hole, which he flings at the fleeing person.
"Take that!"
Singularity Shrike strikes Overclock with his Black Hole attack.
Rush Raccoon is still reading his book. Near his tent. He's oblivious to anything. This is his post. He'll stay here until ordered.
"Sir, as part of my duties I have to inform you that we recommend not taking this course of action." Chest's Repliforce body guard says in a tone that suggests he's given this recommendation many times before. "Duly noted. And don't call me 'sir'." Chest replies in a tone that equally suggests he's said this many times before.
Chest jolts as suddenly a shot rings out. Or, a blackhole is thrown. "What in the name of Cossack was /that/?" Chest stammers. He can't quite see if it hit anything... maybe it did... tough to tell... Chest cranes his neck even as he follows Floral Skunk. "There, I see it! Camera, go after him. See what he's up to." Camera beeps something back. "I said /do it/ you lousy excuse of a paperweight!" Chest shouts. Camera whistles angrily. "Do it or else I'll have you melted down into a doorstop!" Camera curses a blue streak and begins rolling after Overclock at a fairly impressive clip. The drone isn't as fast as Overclock, but if the Maverick stops then Camera should be able to catch up.
Fianait stops for a moment and stares at Overclock as his dashjets suddenly flare and he speeds out. First the brain computers, then the severe mauling, and now this. The little tiny part of her mind dedicated to survival instinct notes that she can't outsmart him, beat him, /or/ outrun him.
Something to remember later.
Then the shot. Fianait winces, and glances over to Flame Stag. "We need to run a distraction so no one follows him. Crank up those antlers and let's roll."
Overclock knows his way around the business districts, since he made his home in a commercial area. As he dashes toward those streets, he decides to head in the general direction of his old labs to get his bearings, even though they've been burned to the ground. Watching the road, he doesn't realize a fast-moving Repliforcer has him in his sights.
He's hit with... something black. It doesn't really register that it's a small portable black hole because he has no idea what a small portable black hole should feel like. For a second, he feels sort of slowed-down by it, but can't really figure out how. Then, he picks up speed again heading for the inner city, trying to lose the tail. He sends a few radio messages as he does so, hoping the two prey animals could hold their own.
Floral Skunk is about to agree with Chest's guards, but her attention is snapped away as an actual shot is fired off. "It would seem we've got a confirmation and hostilities," she observes, slipping back into scientist mode for a moment, but then quickly snaps out of it again as she keeps moving towards the site. A few vines unfurl from her back side, curling over her shoulders in a ready fashion instead.
Solstis remained quiet and quite difficult to see. Was he over there preparing to fondle Floral's vines, or maybe bash Camera? Naw...he was...near the deer? Awww does he wuvvle her?
Rush Raccoon hrms and sends a Radio Signal out.
As Overclock goes sprinting off, Flame Stag isn't so far behind. Fianait probably didn't need to urge him along, though he calls back to the other deer as he runs after Overclock, "They're on to him, I'll stop them!" Displaying rather nimble motions for a reploid his size, he runs up the wall as he draws closer to the fence at the end of the alley, jumping off at the end of the wall run to give him some extra propulsion after Overclock.
Flame Stag certainly isn't quite as fast, but with any luck he can move to put himself between where Overclock ran off to, and the Repliforce that's shooting at him. He comes sliding to a stop, once he's in a good intercept position, antlers burning brightly. He stands tall with fists raised, surveying the forces he may soon be up against, but not immediately firing upon them, waiting until they decide to chase after Overclock... and have to get closer to him in the process, hopefully at least.
Shrike pulls up short of actual pursuit of the Maverik as Flame Stag makes a bold appearance. He bites back a curse as he yanks his spear off of his back.
He regards the Stag a moment, partly to wait for his teammates, and partly to get a better grasp of the situation.
Singularity Shrike forfeits a turn to charge WE.
Fianait sticks her head out of the alleyway as Flame Stag darts off. She really couldn't have asked for a better distraction. And it probably is better off that Overclock goes for the stone and she stays back here. In retrospect the closer she is to the escape vehicle, the better.
But, peering out of her +4 AC hiding spot, she sees Floral Skunk approaching; and winces. All the Repliforce was trying to do is clean up the place, and better them doing it than the Neo Arcadians... but it's not like she could have walked in here and politely asked to clear away the Spire's remains.
Fianait steps out of the alleyway in full; Floral Skunk would easily be able to identify her on sight. From her concealed holster the former musician pulls out an energy pistol. Krieger Wolf's gift; homing, an incredibly accurate weapon. The Deer waits long enough for Floral Skunk to notice her, raises the weapon and aims... and very carefully fires just a bit too much to the right, above Floral Skunk's head.
Fianait misses Floral Skunk with her Wolf Lgs attack.
Rush Raccoon is hearing battle. and Radio Chatter. He leans up and takes the H.M.G off it's Tripod, and reaffixes the scope for hand held useage. He turns around and begins for Floral Skunks Location. " < I'am Enroute to provide some cover if possible. Whats the situation? > "
Chest has been sticking close to Floral. In case anyone is curious how Chest is able to navigate through a ruined city without having to go around all sorts of debris and getting himself trapped, he uses the Artoo method, in which paths magically appear wherever he wants to go. Snow, desert, Grand Canyon. It's yet to fail him. "Do you think the Mavericks are here to- ahh!" Chest jolts as the 'incredibly accurate' weapon goes off. The pair of body guards move into a defensive position. Chest, who is not known for being graceful under fire, looks around frantically, suddenly spotting the source of the attacking. "You!!" he shouts at Javelin. Glaring at her in the alley's entryway, Chest is first overcome by a feeling of utter fear. Then one of anger as his legendary temper rises. "You bitch!" he shouts, clenching a fist. His face goes a few shades towards red.

Rolling Minicam>
At the center of Berlin lies the heart of the Maverick occupation. Within this military establishment, dwells the majority of the Maverick force. The main gates are guarded around the clock with frequent patrols, discouraging any attempt of unauthorized entry. The main roads intersect in this area, leading off in each direction to another section of the city. Residents here pass frequently, but rarely stop as they go about thier business. Any form of criminal activity, or violence, here, like anywhere else in Berlin, is met quickly and harshly.

A shot just over Floral's head is still enough to clip off a few of the leaves dangling from the bloom that grows in placement of 'hair', the bioroid snapping her head out of reflex even if it did miss. Even if she had picked up on the small deer's presence, the gunfire is a dead giveaway to her location.
Others might get all pissy about spotting the traitor. But all that was before Floral's time, all she knows is that Fianait is likely a wanted individual for it. Ignoring Chest screaming behind her, she levels her arm-weapon, the barrels buzzing to life and spitting out a small cluster of sharp, poisonous projectiles. <I have located and am ingaing one of the intruders.> She radios back in the meantime. Yay for internally accessable radios.
Solstis fails his attempt to cover Fianait.
Floral Skunk misses Fianait with her Thorn Gatling Burst attack.
Solstis begins covering Fianait.
Like some sort of strange monstrosity the being that was known as Solstis faded into reality, the color vanishing from his body even as the attack against Javelin Whitetail, or rather Fianait, failed to find it's mark. His mouth was fixed into a grim thin line, optics focused on Floral Skunk. "One thing I believe you should know, my wonderful friend," Solstis said in the direction of Floral Skunk even as he lifted up one hand and pointed it in the direction of the Bioroid, the hand slipping into the rest of the arm to form some sort of cannon. "She is not alone."
Solstis strikes Floral Skunk with his Acoustic Rifle attack.
Rolling Minicam> Overclock dashes through the business area, probably giving the flying cam a bit of a chase in the process. He's headed, one would guess, for the city center and the remains of the Spire, but he's taking a roundabout way to do it, jumping fences and dashing, leaping from one bridge to another. In this particular mode and with jets active, he's quite the athlete in that fashion.
Rolling Minicam> Rolling Minicam is not a particularly stealthy creature. Camera generally just tries to stay out of the way of battles and record them from afar. But here the Legless Bastard has ordered him here. Maybe the deer'll kill him back at the parimeter and things will be happy once again. Bouncing along at a remarkable pace on its four sturdy off-road wheels, Camera extends one of its long-ranged cameras, trying to keep Overclock in view. Without the ability to jump and fly, however, Camera starts drifting behind Overclock, and the Maverick gets further and further ahead. Hopefully OC'll reach his destination soon, giving the drone time to catch up. Chest, keeping in contact with his drone, hopes Overclock hasn't spotted him.
Solstis deactivates his stealth mode.
It would seem that much of the enemy force present aren't chasing after Overclock, but heading to engage with Fianait, making Flame Stag's previous motions a bit unnecessary. Either way, he hesitates, eyeing Floral Skunk and Rush Raccoon in particular. His horns flare up brighter as he doesn't just yet move from his spot, though he starts to glare at Rush Raccoon in particular, uncertain of who he might be going for... Waiting around long enough to make sure he doesn't chase Overclock before lending any aid to Fianait.
Fianait stares back at Chest. She's never seen him -that- angry before, and it's a slightly unnerving sight. It's like seeing an angry dee--some kind of hooved animal that stereotypically doesn't have a bad temper.
And all of a sudden the ruminant /is/ angry, and it shows as she steps further out of the alleyway with an animalistic baring of teeth. The pistol raises again, right at Chest this time. After all the humiliation, all the /arguments/, all the insults, she could finish him off so easily, right here; let them show his corpse on the news if they want it so badly! She could kill him --
Abruptly Floral Skunk sets off a burst of thorns and Fianait instinctively ducks, nearly losing her grasp on the pistol; and then Solstis appears just as suddenly next to her. The angered look is gone in a flash and Fianait stumbles back into the alleyway, pressing herself up against the wall and trying to get ahold of her temper again. Now is /not/ the time.
Rolling Minicam> Overclock isn't paying attention to the camera so much as he is where he's going. He probably loses it for a while, as he dashes cross-town, but it's also likely to catch up to him once he gets to the spire proper, since, when he does get there, he slows down.
He then stops, though the jets on his feet stay active. His hand comes up to his head, and he taps the side of it, the visor
over his eyes flipping up, revealing what was hidden of his face. He starts scouting the wreckage for... something.
Shrike eyes Flame Stag, sees the glare aimed at Rush. Shrike then decides to keep the Stag where he's at. He shifts the grip on his spear and DIVES at Flame Stag. Hit or miss, Shrike takes to the skies after the attack.
Singularity Shrike strikes Flame Stag with his Fell Swoop attack.
Chest begins scooting backwards slightly as Floral becomes engaged in a firefight. Sheesh, and here he thought she was just an engineer. Despite this relatively rational action, Chest's temper is still grabbing hold of him. Jabbing an accusing finger at him, "A danger to society and a traitor to her race. Isn't that about what I called you? Well guess what... turns out I was RIGHT, wasn't I?!" Chest's cigar falls from his hand as he waves both of them around, "You blasted witch turned on everyone who trusted you, you backstabber!" Chest is about to go on when he notices that the gun is suddenly no longer pointed at Floral, but now at him. "Ah..." he says, shocked as if he didn't realize this would happen. He doesn't know if it's Floral's shot or Javelin's decision that saved him here. He grits his mechanical teeth at the alley, trying to get a hold of his own temper. Now is /not/ the time.
Rush Raccoon is here. and ready to asist. His Heavy Machine Gun Locked and loaded. His Shoulder weapons ONLINE! He aims his cannon down at Solstis. He sets the Cannon for a Narrow barrage. "Hey!!!! Sol... CATCH!" his Cannon begins to churn out shell, after shell..after shell at Solstis. Rush Raccoon is NOT A HAPPY COON!
Rush Raccoon strikes Solstis with his Rush Cannon Barrage attack.
Rolling Minicam> Rolling Minicam whistles something back to his boss. But there's no reply. Chest is too busy flaming Javelin with insults. Looks like everyone's favorite drone is on its own! Beeping in annoyance, Camera continues to follow Overclock. While it does lose the Maverick many times, it becomes clear what his destination is. Camera finally just starts heading towards what's left of the Spire itself. Every so often it gets a glimpse of Overclock, thus validating its guess as to where the Maverick is going. Finally, once Overclock makes it there, Camera slows down and catches up, peeking out at Overclock from wreckage that used to be a public bus.
Floral Skunk is, primarily, an engineer. However, having been specifically designed and built as a military grade engineer, she's at least equipt and trained to function as a soldier as well. She just isn't exceptionally fond of hte role. But what must be done is done. She yelps as a socond Maverick appears, and pops a chunk out of her shoulder... though the wound -looks- worse than it really is, as a bit of plant matter spluts on the ground behind her. Rush opens fire on the new arrival moments later though, so she turns her attention back to the deer girl as she tries to duck back into the alley. Hmm. Hard to shoot into there. Her vines twitch for a moment, and then coil back and shoot down, punching through the pavement and leaving a trail of cracks and shifting chunks as they burrow through it.
Moments later the pavement cracks up near Fianait as well, as several thorny, twisting stalks pop out and attempt to latch onto the deer.
Solstis successfully covers Fianait.
Floral Skunk strikes Solstis with her Bramble Patch attack.
Rolling Minicam> Overclock heads down into the blasted pit of ruin, a bit more slowly.
He scans around with his eyes alone, though they have a slight 'zoom' function to them that his human eyes never had.
He finally finds something that seems to interest him, and slowly climbs over a pile of rubble to reach whatever it is.
Solstis stood there, his arm up and his hand gone...and then the hand was back and the arm lowered, a look of uncaring unemotional nothingness glaring out toward Floral Skunk. That was when the air was filled with bullets fired into his body, and yet he stood there, takingthe beating and not feeling altogether caring about hiding or running, the chips in his squishy brain keeping the fear absolutely abolished(For now). As Floral Skunk fired off her own attack he caught it...literally. With his /hand/. How did he do that? He picked Fianait up, and quite literally tossed her into the air for a moment while he slammed his hand down on the stalks that ripped upward from the ground.
"I don't think I like you," Solstis said, as he stood back up and caught Fianait, only to settle her back down on the ground, keeping his body before her whilst in the midst of twisting around and pulling out a sphere. Across his eyes a dark film settled, his ears temporarily shutting down, as the item was casually chucked in the direction of Floral. Luckily for Fianait he was there to take the brunt of it, keeping it away from her...poor Camera.

Rolling Minicam> Rolling Minicam grumbles in annoyance as Overclock starts heading down into the pit. Camera's a very rugged construct, but something this steep's likely to cause him trouble. Or worse, get him spotted by the Maverick in question. The drone cautiously rolls out from behind the bus, waiting a short time before heading to the edge. Camera then extends and angles its camera (look, it's a stupid name for the drone. I accept this) downward into the pit, trying to spot Overclock. And indeed, it does. Just what is it that the Maverick seems to have found? Camera's camera zooms in.
Thump. Flame Stag is surprised by the swooping, unable to evade the impact as he's sent to the ground, dirt kicking up around him. But oh no. Shrike isn't going anywhere, if Flame Stag has anything to say about it. He grunts loudly as an arm flies up after Shrike during the reploids attempt to return to the air, trying his best to grab one of the flier's legs tightly. He jumps to his feet rather quickly, so that Flame Stag can then use his quite impressive strength to bring Singularity Shrike back down to the ground, slamming him down to the ground by his leg.
Flame Stag misses Singularity Shrike with his Power Slam attack.
Rolling Minicam> It's a rock!
Well, actually, it's a fairly fine, sturdy-looking stone with some bit of intricate carving on one side. It was, in fact, the cornerstone to the foundation of the old structure of the spire, and still has the dedication inscribed on it (In German). Overclock's jets cut out momentarily as he summons the strength to lift rubble off of the buried rock. If one wasn't immediately aware that he couldn't utilize both speed and strength at once, this would be even more intimidating than it is, but he still can lift a pretty good load of rock. Finally he digs the stone itself up, and lifts it onto his shoulders.
Serges has left.
No animals were harmed in the typing of this pose. However, Fianait was tossed around like a paper cup in a tidal wave.
Before she can even think beyond the fact that she can hear the ground cracking oddly beneath her hooves, the Deer is tossed neatly up and then caught. She lands back on the ground and drops her pistol, momentarily stunned by being caught completely off-guard. What on earth was that?
Shaken, Fianait glances around. Solstis's optical flashbang has done its work, although she missed that as well. Her temper starts creeping back again; pushed on by Agile's encouragement over the radio. She could do it, right here, could end that horrible taunting --
With a sudden, furious shriek, Fianait positively /flings/ herself at Chest and pins him down, pushing him over, strangling him, /slamming/ him into the ground as hard as she can. Again, and again, and again.
Fianait strikes you with a solid hit from her Irish Fury attack for 12 units of damage.
Solstis is no longer covering anyone.
Shrike feels the air close on his leg just before he clears Stag's hand. That was close.
"Hah! Ya missed!"
Time to slow the big guy down further. Returning his spear to his back, Shrike's fists darken as the extra gravitational pull bends light toward them. He brings these fists down in a double axe-handle aimed at Flame Stag's head. Hopefully, the force of the blow will ALSO drive Stag down through the roof.
Singularity Shrike strikes Flame Stag with his Crushing Blow attack.
Rolling Minicam> Rolling Minicam continues to zoom in. A rock? That /can't/ be it. There's got to be more to it than just that. The drone teeters on the edge, but manages to not fall into the pit. It's tough to tell what makes this rock special with Overclock standing in the way. C'mon you crazy Maverick. Move it. Finally, as Overclock lifts it up onto his shoulders, there's that perfect shot that's going to be displayed all over the world. Camera gets a good look at both the cornerstone and the inscription. As the 'G' in GNN stands for 'Global', Camera is able to interpret many languages, and thus recognizes this as the cornerstone of the foundation. This explains a lot. Radioing back to Chest for orders, Camera gets no reply except for the sound of WHAM WHAM WHAM. Camera whistles, clearly amused with the thought of the GNN boss man getting killed. Its programming finally decides to get ready to back up. Chances are, if this is all Overclock was seeking, he'll be coming back up. The moment the Maverick starts for the edge of the pit, Camera backs up behind the bus again.
Rush Raccoon is about to throw a few Grenades Sols and Fiants way when..the deer RUSHES out and strikes chest....CRAP! This makes Rush an UPSET Raccoon. making a fist he DASHES forward on the Rush Jets... skidding across the ground as he precisely aims for the Deer, and attempts to give her a FLYING UPPERCUT at a tremendous speed, and hopefully fling her right off Chest.
Rush Raccoon strikes Fianait with his Precise Strike attack.
Floral Skunk lets out a screech of surprise as the sudden light goes off, overpowering more than her capacity to absorb photonetic energy can handle in one go. The bang along with it doesn't really help, either. See, junk like this is why she doesn't like fighting! It'll take a moment for her systems to recalibrate now.
[Radio] Tightbeam transmission: Rush Raccoon says, "Are you alright!?"
Rolling Minicam> Overclock climbs out of the pit, and makes a slight grunting noise as he settles the weight of the stone on his shoulder, braces it, and flips the jets back on again. They're not quite at the same power as before, given the added weight. Overclock dashes a few times, and then decides to stick to the main roads on his way back to the rendesvous point. He hopes that... well, that Flame Stag is okay; he figures he'll be rebuilding the other one again regardless.
Rolling Minicam> Overclock enters the Business District.
Rolling Minicam> Overclock has left.
Overclock arrives from the Business District.
Overclock has arrived.
Solstis' feet ground into the Earth somewhat, as his metallic teeth clenched and a look of semi-anger flickered across his face at the actions of the Deer. "JAVELIN WHITETAIL GET YOUR LITTLE BEHIND OVER HERE RIGHT THIS INSTANCE!" Solstis hollered toward Fianait, even as out from his arms snapped two metallic rods, that he grasped in his hands. Yet he seemed to be...doing nothing?
Solstis forfeits a turn to charge WE.
Overclock is on his way back with the stone. However, now that he has it, he's weighed down too much to return as quickly as he left.
Chest sneers at the Maverick even as he backs up, "Hey, Javelin... is your emotional regulator on?!" he shouts. Chest is receiving a bunch of data from Camera near the center of the city, but he's much too pissed off to reply to the drone and tell it what to do. The two Repliforce body guards start to grow very alarmed. "Sir, I don't think this is the be- damnit!" "Ahhh!" Chest cringes at the same time as something very very BRIGHT goes off. Oh, crap. He can't see. Chest's head jolts left and right as if looking somewhere else might help clear the blindness. The body guards aren't in that great of shape either, though they're liable to get back up and running a lot quicker.
Chest gets flashbacks to the trip to his /first/ trip to the Imperial Spire. This one was to meet with Emperor Sigma himself in what was the most terrifying experience in his life. This might not be quite as scary, but being blind, in a combat zone, and very close to someone he's spent the last few minutes (hell, half a year if you want to get technical) pissing off.
Chest has no defense for being assaulted in this manor, blind or otherwise. The media God is thrown to the ground and pummeled viciously. He throws his hands up in a desperate attempt to defend himself at times. "aghgh..." Chest gets picked up and thrown to the ground repeatedly. There's the sound of metal being smashed.
Then there's the sound of two Repliforce body guards. "Back off, lady!" One of them pulls a wicked looking gun. The other dives for Javelin, trying to knock her off her feet and away from their ward.
[Radio] Tightbeam transmission to Rush Raccoon: Chest isn't a combatant, and isn't experienced with radioing while being punched upside the head repeatedly.

Rolling Minicam has arrived.
Rolling Minicam has left.
You take Rolling Minicam.
Flame Stag isn't doing so well today. He's sent to the ground a second time, the fists not hurting as much as the last but certainly knocking him down to the ground all the same. This time, Stag rolls to the side out from under his opponent, rising quickly as he turns to face Shrike, sneering at him angrily. "You better keep flying... Because if I catch you, I'll rip you apart!" He warns, before charging forward to make an attempt at grabbing Shrike by the neck with one hand, holding him in place, so that his foe can't do what Flame Stag just suggested he do. And if he can manage that, his other arm will come up from the side, elbowing Shrike in the head, somewhat of an awkward hit. The main objective is to keep his opponent from getting away, the elbow just some added pain, with any luck.
Flame Stag misses Singularity Shrike with his Smash attack.
Ohsnap, the civilian got attacked. See, this is why Floral Skunk told him to STAY BACK, but we disgress. Rush and his bodyguards are taking care of the problem. Hopefully. Good thing too, she's still trying to get her own orientation back.
Blindly Fianait digs her fingers into Chest's shoulders, or at least what passes for them; slamming him into the ground and starting to tear at his armour. She doesn't even hear Rush Raccoon's punch; it strikes her a ringing blow on the side of the head that knocks her off Chest completely and sends her spinning into the dirt, rolling over a few times before skidding to a stop spreadeagled across the ground. Once again this -- coupled with the shout from Solstis -- has the effect of knocking the worst of her temper out of her; Fianait stares up at the sky for a moment, regaining her breath and bearings. She looks to be listening to something.
"You have /no idea/," she hisses through clenched teeth, after those few seconds; although the mad light in her optics is fading fast again. "What I tried to do, what I'm doing now -- you /bastard/, you don't give one damn about -- "
But the bodyguards are approaching; and Overclock is returning as well. With at least some semblance of sanity returned, Fianait has no desire to face multiple opponents. She didn't want to fight in the first place. With one final piercing stare at Chest the traitor lifts herself up and darts back into the alleyway again.
Solstis begins covering Fianait.
Shrike nimbly dodges and spins away from Flame Stag's strike. He looks slightly annoyed too. He reaches back and grabs his spear. It darkens as Shrike focuses his gravity manipulation on it. He then holds it by the end, and attempts to jam the spear into Flame Stag. If he does, he will then unleash the focused gravity outward in all directions through the tip of his spear, while the tip is still inside Stag hoping for an...explosive result.
This is the Event Horizon.
Singularity Shrike strikes Flame Stag with his Event Horizon attack.
Overclock is finally in sight. He jumps over a fence, landing heavily on his dash-enabled feet. He has the rather large cornerstone slung up on one of his shoulders. As such, he probably doesn't have much combat ability at this juncture, but he's pretty visible all the same. "Let's move!" he shouts at the Mavericks, even though they're under fire.
Rush Raccoon seems...pretty miffed right now. He turns his Gaze back to Solstis now, now that Chest seems safe. He makes a fist. "//YOU//" all his weapon systems open up. and he attempts to give Solstis a LOT of Rocket Love. *Phhhoooommm* *Phhoooooommmm*. Rockets away!
Chest gets out a muffled cry as his shoulders get dug into. He tries to get his hands in the way but his efforts are fairly dismal. "ugh..." he tries quoting something, but it's muffled and tough to hear. But with a little imagination it can be understood. "...'I grh... refuse to do what you expect of me'..." Chest is stunned as Rush smacks Javelin, knocking him off of her. He's still blind, and he's still quoting. "...'I will not falter again, I will not become a traitor again'..." He coughs and rolls over onto his front, trying to get himself back up to his hoverpad.
Chest is in shock at the moment. He'll be feeling all this a bazillion times worse once the panic wears off. His voice raises slightly as Javelin shouts at him and makes a rush for the alley. "'I will not have my life and my soul and my sacrifice counted for so cheaply by you..." Chest grits his teeth, still unable to get back up to his feet. He contents himself with laying on the ground. "Remember those words, you bitch?" he coughs, temper flaring. "'I will not become a Maverick'. Remember that? What utter crap that turned out to be!"
As Chest lays stunned on the ground with his optics only slightly beginning to recover (now instead of a big dark blur it's a big light blur), Camera is making its way back as well. This time it got a headstart on Overclock the moment the Maverick started heading back this way. It's whistling to himself. It almost appears pleased.
Rush Raccoon strikes Solstis with his Rush Rocket Fury attack.
Solstis was struck again, even as Javelin darted behind him, and his hands kept ahold of those metallic objects. The speaking Chest grated on his nerves, yet he opted to avoid shooting the man...if only because he was feeling nice. Very very nice. Rush Raccoon's attack against Solstis blew away most of the armor upon his body, and even as Solstis fell to one knee he maintained his concious state, and still lacked fear. "You are nothing but pests," Solstis said, as mechfluid slid off of his body...and then he glared toward Rush Raccoon.
And spit at him. Spit that wonderful mechfluid.
Solstis strikes Rush Raccoon with his Grasp attack.
Fianait begins covering Solstis.
Instinctively, Flame Stag grabs the spear, completely unafraid of whatever follow up it might have after being lunged into him. He's just trying to keep his opponent close by. He snarls at the secondary explosive blast, going nowhere at all from the hit, staying right on top of his opponent. The snarl shifts into a scowl once the attack is done, as the moves back just enough to dislodge the spear from him, before shoving it aside. A single leg then kicks his opponent in the knee, putting him off balance enough, hopefully, for a follow up kick to his opponent's chest. And with any luck, the combination of the two should knock his opponent down, so that he can then stomp a boot down on his opponents face, holing Shrike in place, unable to move away. Naturally, Overclocks orders are ignored at the moment. Flame Stag has something to prove.
Flame Stag strikes Singularity Shrike with his Low Kick attack.
Singularity Shrike is temporarily disoriented by Flame Stag's Low Kick attack.
Chest's two body guards stand over Chest. One of them kneels and begins making sure he isn't dying. The other stands watch, ready to shoot any bad guys that come near.
Shrike blinks as Stag grabs the spear. He pauses as the blast does not knock the Maverick clear. He gets a bit concerned when Stag starts laying kicks into him. Shrike goes down. Hard. THAT...was unexpected. Still, this guy all but laughed off his most powerful attack. He'd get some serious props for that...
...after the cobwebs cleared.
Rush Raccoon is leaked on...bad. So he turns and proceeds immedailty away to be decontaimiated. "Awww..... to **** with you Solstis..." he says as he begins back to camp.
Rush Raccoon retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Singularity Shrike.
Fianait also has something to prove; but unlike Flame Stag, she will not stay around to do it. Two little pinpoints of greenish light peer out of the darkened alleyway at Chest, from behind Solstis.
"I tried, Chest," the traitor offers despondently. "I tried, so very hard..."
She falters and trails off; there's really no protest she could offer. Not here, not now. Obediently the collared Deer turns around and heads away from the alley, first at a walk, then a trot, then a flat-out run towards the transport, heedless of anything behind her.
Floral Skunk could really, really just pelt all the Mavericks with sharp toxic pain right about now, she really could. Her gatling gun is more than capable of firing fast and far enough to do it easily.
However, she doesn't. Instead the bioroid retracts her weapon, and draws back to move to Chest's side instead as his guards stand over him. "I *did* tell you to stay back, sir.* However, she's down and busy and patching up the roughing up Fianait did to his chest and indeed making sure he's not going to stop functioning or anything, even as she scolds him.
Rush Raccoon has disconnected.
Fianait is no longer covering anyone.
Fianait retreats from the area swiftly, leaving her open to pursuit or parting shots from Overclock, Singularity Shrike, Solstis, and Flame Stag.
Floral Skunk effects some minor repair work on Chest.
Javelin Whitetail gives you a cookie. It's vanilla. No, wait, it's chocolate! No, wait, it's chocolate chip. Wait! It's a multilayered cookie! Wait, no, it's something completely different - STRAWBERRY! Or maybe it's vanilla again! AAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!
Solstis stood back up even as he noticed that Javelin was pulling out and that Rush Raccoon had departed...and his mouth twisted into a grin, blood slipping free from the mouth to fall upon the ground in ever small amounts, and his body lurched forward...only to finally start walking normally as he strode(Or at least attempted to) to Floral Skunk. "Do you mind if you fix me up too?" Solstis inquired. Innocently. Yeah....real innocent.
Overclock doesn't really hear anything of what's being said, and doesn't seem to much care. Seeing Fianait bolt off, he does likewise, heading for the city limits now. If Flame stays at this point he's well aware he's doing it against orders, but Overclock doesn't like to press his rank against those who are senior members, and reploids besides.
The shock of being savagely beaten is starting to wear off on Chest, and he shivers. This... this really hurts. He's not a combat model for blast's sake! What's he even /doing/ in a place like this?! "Didn't try hard enough..." he mutters fairly loudly, though whether Javelin hears him or not given her retreating and his fading voice is another thing. Still laying on his front, Chest looks over at the bodyguard that's performing simple first aid on him. "You're going to be ok. We'll get you to a hospital" Camera happens to arrive at this time, and beeps angrily, clearly pissed off at this news. The guard moves aside for Floral, who's no doubt better at this. "Thank you," he whispers, not actually responding to her 'I told you so'.
Retreat? No, not yet. Flame Stag has to at least show Shrike who he picked a fight with before bottling out. Stomping on his opponents head once more to keep him dazed, Flame Stag leaps up into the air, straight up above the pair, his hands burning bright with deep blue flame. As he gathers energy, the small aura of fire quickly expands as he moves his arms apart, palms pointing down at the reploid below him, a 'wheel' of flame quickly spreading and being shot, or, more accurately, dropped down at his opponent, impacting him and sending flames spreading out along the ground a short ways in all directions. Hadoouuken!
And with that, /then/ he starts heading off, bolting after his fellow Mavericks as soon as he lands, though this little outrage gives everyone present plenty of time to take shots on him before he even begins to retreat.
Flame Stag strikes Singularity Shrike with his Speed Burner attack.
Floral Skunk seems, at first, to keep her attention on getting Chest together, as she doesn't look back at Solstis as he approaches and has the nerve to ask for getting a fix. "I would suggest you follow your comrades," she does respond though, almost dryly. The Bioroid does start to get up, at least partway. But then stops in a partial crouch still.
And hikes up her tail, aimed in Solstis' direction.
If there's any way for a skunk to say 'Get The Hell Out of Here', this has got to be it.
Floral Skunk strikes Solstis with her Toxin Spray attack.
Shrike staggers under the fire a bit, untill it wisps out. He growls, the grin slipping.
"Oh heck no. You're not getting away, Mr. Stag." The spear darkens again, as Shrike sets, and aims. With a HEAVE, he slings the spear at, and hopefully THROUGH Flame Stag.
Singularity Shrike strikes Flame Stag with his Butterfly Pin attack.
Solstis pondered on what the Bioroid had said, thinking that perhaps there was some logic to it...and then he was sprayed by her. "That was...rude," Solstis said, before he calmly stepped forward, twirling about the ASP in his hands...and delivered the metallic weapons in the direction of Floral's exposed rump. "I hope this helps you to realize /why/ you shouldn't stick your butt at people who have cold hard rods."
Solstis strikes Floral Skunk with his Double Asp Attack attack.
Chest, it would seem, is not out of the woods this time around. He looks at Solstis (another traitor to his race. Funny, Mavericks seem to bring that out in people), afraid of what the cyborg might do to him. But Floral steps up and lays what shall be effectively referred to as 'the smackdown' upon what we shall refer to as 'his candyass'. Chest, however, is not thinking in such confident terms. He's worried he's going to die. He winces as Solstis strikes back.
Floral Skunk grits her teeth for a moment as she gets smacked across the posterior in retaliation. Okay, that's it, now she's really annoyed. That, and she's worried that if he gets too close he'll try and finish with Chest what the deer started. Standing completely, she turns to face him, though doesn't shoot anything at him other than a glowering glare.
Though the flower atop her head starts to radiate a bit of a glow, as if sucking up even more energy than usual...
"I thought I told you to leave."
Floral Skunk forfeits a turn to charge WE.
Solstis has no interest in Chest. Solstis, unlike Javelin Whitetail(Fianait), is in complete control of his faculties, and thus as Floral Skunk began to charge up he leapt forth, attempting to grab ahold of her in a bear hug...a nice mechfluid filled bear hug that would end with him literally lifting her up and tossing her toward the nearest building's wall. Not hard enough to go through the wall...but hard enough to leave a bruise.
Overclock gets back to the Manta, and loads up the stone. He's pretty sure he's gonna have to do some emergency repairs...and wonders what happened to Stag. Outside of the fight now, of course, he can't tell, but figures he's a fast runner.
Solstis misses Floral Skunk with his Riot Throw attack.
The spear being sent straight through his chest doesn't slow Flame Stag at all. Apparently, his mind rather strong, even if his frame isn't looking in it's best condition; aside from persistent scowling, he has very little reaction to the attack. Flame Stag, master of the No-Sell. Nevermind he's got a nice sized hole punched through his midsection, he does start trying to duck around to avoid any additional shots that might be sent his way. The spear is left on the ground, not having the time to go for it as he tries to get the heck out of dodge, heading after Overclock, and where they parked the getaway car.
Flame Stag retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Overclock and Singularity Shrike.
Floral Skunk frowns more as the Maverick lunges at her. Though she has less to fear of a contamination than some robots, she knows she's far from immune, and as little direct contact as possible is still best. So she takes a step back as he moves, thrusting out her arm as she does so. The flower's radiance glows brighter for a moment, and then stops as the power is dumped into her combat system, and a sheering beam of intensely focused solar energy erupts from her hand.
Floral Skunk strikes Solstis with her Sun Beam attack.
Seeing that not even his Butterfly Pin attack has dropped this guy, he's not about to let the Maverick get away. He dashes after him, snatching the spear up on the flybly. Wrapping a high-density gravity field around himself, he spear charges Stag, hoping to bring him down.
"This is gonna sting. You more than me..."
Singularity Shrike misses Flame Stag with his Singularity Slam attack.
Shrike was busy with Stag a bit of a distance away...and Floral had just nailed Solstis for an OW HOLY HELL attack, which forced the Maverick to reelbackward and throw mechfluid all over the place. Yes, he's a bloody bleeding bloodful bleeder. FEAR THE BLOOD! HE MUST INFEST! Oh yeah...and he's running for the hills.
Solstis retreats from the area swiftly, leaving him open to pursuit or parting shots from Overclock and Singularity Shrike.
Apparently, Stag zigged when Shrike zagged. And Shrike was more concerned about getting to Stag in time as opposed to being accurate. So it is nobody's surprise when Shrike overshoots Flame Stag completely, and slams into a wall. The wall does little to slow him down, however. The wall right after it. THAT one does the trick! A large dust cloud erupts from Shrike's position.
Singularity Shrike strikes Singularity Shrike with his Ram attack.
Floral Skunk doesn't even pay Solstis the dignity of a second glance as he finally turns and runs. Instead she turns back again to Chest, his safety taking precedence over how much she may of liked finishing off beating those wacky Mavericks away for even attacking him in the first place. "You need to get to a proper medical facility. I am sorry they attacked you." And despite how much of a jerk Chest is known for being, she sounds scincere about it, too.
Chest continues to watch Solstis and Floral duke it out. He's grateful to see that the Repliforce has triumphed, but he's very definitely still freaked out about the damage he's received. Even though the bleeding's stopped thanks to Floral's hard work, Chest has still not gotten up from the ground. "Wh... what?" he asks her, stunned. "...ok.." He seems out of it.
Shrike shakes the cobwebs loose, and realizes something. He can't get out of this pile he's in. "No prob." he thinks, "I'll just..." That's when the counter appears in his field of vision. It reads XX:XX untill Generator Shutdown. That...is not good. Past experience dictates that the counter will progress untill he gets some repairs. Use of the Singularity Generator will accelerate the counter. Once the counter hits zeroes, well, it's never come to that but he's pretty sure it's not good...
Flame Stag GONE.
Dodging Shrike's last attack, Flame Stag has time to sprint out of the area, running as fast as his damaged body can take him, occasionally leaping horizontally to keep him hard to hit in case anyone tries to shoot at him again. But since he's in the clear, the only person capable of catching him having smashed into a building, it's only a matter of time before he's out of sight.
Floral Skunk helps Chest up, then passes him off to his bodyguards. "See to it that he gets the proper medical care, and a viral scan just to be sure. That's an order." That said and done, she hurries over to the pile of rubble Shrike managed to get himself buried under. "Just hold still a moment." Several of her vines unfurl, reaching out and starting to shift through the debris to get to the bird trapped beneath.
Camera whistles, disappointed that Chest is going to survive this ordeal. But at least the idiot got beaten up real good. A little beating's better than no beating at all. Chest gets back onto his foot with Floral's help. "Thank you.." he says again, trying to get a hold of himself. Chest awkwardly hovers towards his body guards, who will escort him to San Angeles General.
Floral hears a bit of panic coming from the rubble. It gets a little louder as the pile clears a bit. "GET ME OUTTA HERE!" erupts as the stones are cleared. He looks...a bit panicked. "I need repairs...now, please..."
Fianait has disconnected.
Solstis enters the Teleportation Area--MavBerlin.
Solstis has left.
"A little patience would be good." Once she's got enough rubble clear Floral steps up to work more of her medical finess though, at least to stabilize Shrike enough he can get back to base for a proper repair session.
Overclock enters the Perimeter West.
Overclock has left.
Floral Skunk effects some minor repair work on Singularity Shrike.
Singularity Shrike sighs as the counter disappears from his field of vision. "...thanks..." Shrike picks himself up, and drags himself to the teleporters to get home.
Flame Stag enters the Teleportation Area--MavBerlin.
Flame Stag has left.

Mavs hit Berlin; Chest wounded Thu Jul 07 Global News Network (Chest)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A deep baritone voice rumbles, "This... is GNN."
We open up to Chest's news desk. However instead of the familiar face of GNN's boss, we see a female Reploid with light beige hair done up in a bun. She has thin reading glasses and a futuristic business suit on. "Papaya filling in on behalf of Chest tonight, who has been critically injured while on assignment," she explains briefly.
"Tonight Berlin was the scene of violence once again as Repliforce and Maverick forces clash." We see surprisingly good video of the fighting. Flame Stag and Singularity Shrike are going at it. We see Singularity throwing a spear at Flame. Papaya voiceovers. "Repliforce soldiers were stationed in Berlin securing and repairing the city. GNN's very own Chest was on the scene on investigation."
We now see a shot of Solstis leaking and spitting at Rush Raccoon. I'm serious. "GNN's investigations determined that the target of the Maverick's raid was to acquire the cornerstone of the foundation of the Imperial Spire, recently destroyed by Maverick Hunter forces." We see a zoomed in close-up shot of Overclock. He's rummaging through rubble. He finally finds the cornerstone and lifts it up on his shoulders. We can clearly see the dedication plaque on it, written in German.
"During the battle, GNN Owner and Manager was savagely attacked by Javelin Whitetail for reasons unknown," Papaya continues. We do /not/ see any shots of this. "Corporal Floral Skunk, in command of the Berlin recovery operation at the time, led the effort to drive them off. The Mavericks departed with their cornerstone."
"Chest was rushed to San Angeles hospital where he underwent surgery to repair structural and severe internal damage. He is listed in stable, but serious condition. On behalf of the the staff here, we wish his recovery the best. Neither he nor Corporal Skunk were available for comment."
And, because it wouldn't be Papaya otherwise, she adds, "The Capcom Global News Network shares are down fifteen points on the news due to concern for their owner and CEO's health. This comes at a particularly bad time for GNN, which is set to soon open its second largest branch on the space station Eurasia."
And on goes the news.

Cornerstone Thu Jul 07 Overclock
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--Text report from Overclock: viewable: all--
Fianait (I think I'm spelling this right; I'm not used to it, but anyway) had the idea last night (not that I know where she got it from) that it would be a patriotic thing to do to go get the cornerstone from the old Spire and bring it back to serve as part of the new base somewhere. In short: we did so. We encountered Repliforce while we were there, and Flame Stag and Fia Deer were shot up a bit in the process. I'll take care of the repairs. I also managed to get the stone, which I've left in the vehicle bay for right now, since it was as good a place as any to put it until we figure out what to do with it. I'm mostly undamaged.
GNN was on the scene so we may show up on the evening news, but that's fairly standard operating procedure. I didn't really get much information on which Repliforcers were in the patrol we encountered, but I don't feel it's important.

ARR: Berlin Intrusion Thu Jul 07 Floral Skunk
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To: All Ranks
Subject: Maverick Intrusion to Berlin
Cpl. Floral Skunk, reporting. This evening, a small band of Mavericks encroached on the Berlin location. Though they somehow managed to elude most of the perimeter patrols, a survey crew detected them though. Shortly afterwards they were also spotted by Shrike's air patrol, and exchange of fire begain. I proceeded to also intervien, as did Cpl. Raccoon several minutes later.
Unfortunately, one of the Mavericks *insert image of Fianait here* succeeded in attacking Chest, who happened to be present for an arranged media visitation to Berlin, presumably as part of PR efforts to show we are truly trying to help Berlina nd Europe. I'm not the one that arranged it, just happened to be the officer present when he arrived. His assailent was swiftly repelled by Rush and his bodyguards, and I tended to his wounds so he could be taken to a proper medical facility for full repairs and viral scanning.
The Mavericks were ultimately repelled, and retreated. Their true reason for being present is at this point unknown. All Repliforce units involved in the defensive have returned to base for repairs and decontamination as necessary.
On that note, please do not be insulted if you are stopped by a technician while in Berlin and asked to take a viral scanning. It is a safety percaution until we are sure the city is clear of any possible lingering viral contamination, and we get the security scans of the teleporter hub fully functional again. Thank you.
Cpl. Floral Skunk, out.
*End Report*

Chest thanks RF Fri Jul 08
Global News Network (Chest)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A written
release from San Angeles General.
I would like
to formally extend my personal gratitude to the Repliforce soldiers and
engineers that defended Berlin from the recent Robot Master raid. In particular,
those that were responsible for saving my life from an unprovoked Maverick
attack upon my person. Of note, Corporal Rush Raccoon, Private Singularity
Shrike, their leader, Corporal Floral Skunk, and my two body guards. Without
their aid, my eventual recovery would not be possible.
